Freshly renovated rooms, pool with a small kid zone, across the street from St.Jacobs Market, antique mall, and outlet mall, nice breakfast area with free breakfast, 12 pm check out.

Everything was great! The only recommendation I have is that more tourist information be made available about points of interest in the area, Amish tours, restaurants etc. Work in collaboration with some of the market vendors and provide locally sourced food items in the breakfast buffet. Work in collaboration with local business owners and provide weekend package getaways including things like tickets to the local St. Jacob’s Theatre, dinner at local restaurants, local spa, breweries, local farm visit or Amish tour etc.

shower was roomy. you have a very good staff, the restaurant area is great and the water is nice and hot for making tea, it was great to have bagels and a variety of juices. The air conditioner in our room was very good at keeping us comfortable the bed firm, tv was a nice size and good choice of programs and BNN! I

I did have a difficult time getting on and off the toilet. Being elderly the bones and joints are worn and stiff, muscles are weaker. I have a Koehler toilet at home but the height is about 8" greater than yours and much easier to get on and off of, perhaps if you can't upgrade you could provide a hand rail for the elderly to grab and pull oneself up. You should take notice of your shears in the eating area they are in dire need of replacement

It's a great place to stay for families with kids. The room is big and there is soundproofing.

The pool looked dirty so we did not attempt to swim at all. The breakfast option was limited. On our first day, there was just eggs and two types of sausages and they did not taste good. The next day, they ran out of bacon and I lined up twice and still did not get any. Good thing, one of the staff cooked for us and we waited (long) even after the kitchen closed. I also noticed that they do not regularly check if some supplies were running out. I had to tell the staff that there was no more milk and no more pancake mix. It was not like this before. We have stayed in this hotel twice in 2021 and we did not experience the above.

I was there with my granddaughters and the pool was closed for maintenance from 3-5 on the Saturday of check in which pushed everyone who had checked in with kids to wait so everyone came back at 5 to enjoy the pool. The girls were hoping to enjoy a swim after breakfast on the Sunday and before we checked out but the pool was again down, this time for maintenance. We had come on a winter day during March Break to enjoy time at the hotel pool but the situation made it a little inconvenient!

This is our second stay at this hotel. Staff are always welcoming, friendly and efficient. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are large and comfortable. The fitness center is well equipped with many machines and disinfectant wipes. The restaurant right next door is convenient and servers are always friendly and efficient. The food selection is good as is the food. We will definitely come back to this hotel again

All was great

Post Covid, this is the best run hotel I have been too! It was properly staffed and whenever I needed something, they brought it right away. I needed small garbage bags for kids diapers. They had them ready to go. I requested fresh towels, we had them in 15 minutes. I liked that you could book spots for the pool as to not have crowding. There was a phone to get fresh towels to the pool, and they brought them right away. Breakfast staff were amazing and kept bringing out fresh things. I had breakfast both at 630 and 9 am during my stay, and everything was fresh. They actually had a real crib ready in our room before our arrival, not some playpen that other hotels pass off as a crib. Once again, there was never an excuse of shortage of staff or any other excuses that even more expensive hotels have gotten used to making since Covid. Well done St Jacobs Holiday Inn!

The room felt comfortable, like home. Our view overlooked farm fields, horses and people enjoying a walk in the country. As the room had a couch and TV my husband was able to enjoy watching the Euro Soccer Games leaving me free to enjoy the shopping in the Outlet Mall across the road.

The weather; the nearly 100 degree temperature literally left the village of St. Jacob’s empty and this must have been difficult for the retailers.

Our fridge didn’t work and we lost about 100$ worth of food & had to spend more $ going out to dinner at the last minute- so our kids got to bed late. We’d planned on microwaving a meal I spent an hour making at home prior, but went to take it out and found it warm and unsafe to consume. The hotel gave us a voucher for a % off of our next stay, but this means spending even more $, to get back the $ we lost. We would have preferred a credit off of the dysfunctional stay we originally had & already paid for- as we are out that $ from our budget now, not in a year on our ‘next stay’ and why would we pay again more money, to get food poisoning a second time?

The staff, breakfast, room and location was just perfect! Thank you very much for having us! The room was very clean. The washroom even more clean than the bedroom.

The pool experience was disappointing. The chloring was so strong and the water extremely thick. Everyone began coughing and then we realized that the pool water was very old and dirty. We left immediately because of the discomfort it gave us.

Great basic hot breakfast, especially for a family. Good size rooms and fantastic pool experience (again for a family!). Staff were all so wonderful. Overall, a no-drama, comfortable, and convenient place to stay!

We like an extremely cold room and the AC had a limit that you could turn it down to. Probably very reasonable and it did get very cool and comfortable but it would have been nice to get it even colder. Though, again, that might not be a reasonable expectation or request. The temperature limit did not affect our enjoyment of our stay or the quality of our sleep. Pillows were also very squishy. If you like a harder, more formed pillow, bring your own.
