We arrived after reception staff had left (about 9pm), but they had sent an email with clear instructions. I did have access to my email (via cellphone). The island setting is beautiful and very very quiet.

Very poor lighting to find the hotel in the dark and get a good view of the entrance area. Although I had access to my email for the instructions, if guests did not have access to their email or a cellphone, I am not sure what the outcome would have been. Absolutely no snack or beverages available on sight for late arrivals, and nothing nearby (without car). This should be communicated clearly during the booking process so guests can prepare.

The breakfast was excellent! The beds were very comfortable, with quality linens. Large, fluffy white, monogrammed towels, nice touch. Several Desk staff had a poor command of English.

We had to pay $35 per day, each, for use of the spa, sauna, pools. Until May, it had been included. The room cost on the weekend doubled, because Formula 1 racing was in town. We were there for my companion to have hip surgery, but were still charged double. Our bill for 5 nites was around $2k. Too much, in my opinion. Our first room in the basement level, had a black ant problem. Our 2nd room, on the 2nd floor was lovely, gas fireplace, great ambience. The Oasis is on a private island, but very convenient to the highways. Beautiful grounds, though in need of more attention.

The staff were beyond nice and spoke English which really helped us. The grounds are absolutely beautiful The rooms felt like being at home

The breakfast was horrible. The restaurant is not open during the week and the bistro isn’t either. When we stayed the hotel was completely booked you think they would have had the restaurant open, instead we had to drive to Laval for lunch and dinner, and for me to have breakfast.

This was my second stay. I loved the location , the separate island, the level of privacy and isolation and of course the spa that comes with very relaxed atmosphere. If you are looking for getaway or small retreat this is a perfect place.

Compared to my previous place , some parts of spa were closed due to reconstruction, there is still a lot to do and enjoy, and it does not take away from the atmosphere, hopefully all for good changes coming up.

we loved loved the spa ! we stayed in the midst of winter , the heated outdoor pools and saunas were just perfect cozy way how to spent the snowy days ! the outdoor spa area is a gem and reminds me so much of Nordic-type mineral spas back home in Europe ! stuff was extremely accommodating and helpful fluent in both French and English .

stop can add slight minus to the location it’s further away fork Montreal center and it can be struggle to get in there especially when driving in the traffic rush but at the same time I loved the fact we were staying at the island secluded from everything else , it adds to the uniqueness of the spa and entire property!

It is out of the city on an island, so that’s pretty cool. Gas and food are only a mile away. The hotel looks like an old mansion and our room was spacious and well appointed. I liked that it included a breakfast, nothing fancy but good enough.

We didn’t realize that there was an extra cost to use pool. My bad, for not reading the listing well enough.

Nice rooms and building. Accommodating staff. Property is nice and the spa is pretty decent, even if it had to be paid for separately. Breakfast is very nice and actually delivered to room.

Can hear traffic noise at different times of day, so it's not as peaceful as you'd imagine. I found dark hair on the sheets and in the bathtub - the worst, biggest pet peeve. This happens often, but this time was worse because it actually snuck under my night clothes. And it's a far drive from Montreal on crappy roads.

Location was great

The room was very sparsely furnished. we had a coffee machine but no pods to put in it. This became a problem- we wanted a cup of tea after 20:00 but the front desk was closed and all the staff gone. The smoke detector was missing. I mentioned this to both desk clerks and they seemed unconcerned. The room also had a very strong smell of cleaner (maybe the previous guest was a smoker, disconnected the smoke alarm then the cleaning crew had to cover the smell up). The smell did dissipate with the windows open while we went to dinner.

The spa and gardens were lovely. Definitely a place to come for the day and relax or meditate. I stayed the night but could only check in at 4, so I didn't have as much time as I would have like. Another time I would have come earlier to enjoy the spa area. The on-site bistro is fine for a snack or lunch, but not really for dinner. One would have to leave the site to get to a place for a nice dinner. The buffet breakfast was ok (fresh warm croissants!) but everything was cold (hardboiled eggs) and the jam selection was mediocre. For the price I would have expected something a little more special.

Oddly- the lighting in my room was not very good. There was an additional lamp in my room which I moved to the table (where I was writing) but it was still not great.

Lovely location by the lake. Good for visitors with cars. Bed was very comfortable and overall the room clean.

I didn’t like that my room was in the basement level. Because of that i could feel humidity which was unpleasant. Not the best breakfast.
