Breakfast was good and international

The noise from the main road has increased over the years probably because of higher traffic. Some rooms have added an additional layer of soundproof glass but not all as yet

I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The location was excellent, making it very convenient to explore the city. One thing that really stood out was how thoughtful they were for travelers with lots of luggage — there was even a stationery box in the room with useful items, including scissors, you can ask for a sealing tape which was such a helpful touch when packing things. It was also very easy to catch a taxi or order one, which made getting around super convenient. The concierge service was exceptional — always friendly, professional, and ready to help with anything I needed. Overall, a very comfortable and well-organized place to stay.

Unfortunately, our stay was impacted by a strong smell of cigarettes in room 0923, even though we specifically booked a non-smoking room. Very disappointing and unacceptable. Also, breakfast was just okay — nothing special, and there's definitely room for improvement.

Our favorite hotel in China!!! Everything here is made with great care and attention to the customer! I would like to thank specially Caijia Mim (Mia Lai), the incredible receptionist that gifted my father and I two wonderful Mid Autumn Festival presents... She was very courteous and kind, always ready to solve every request that we had! Great to say that the hotel also offers an exchange service with very good rates... The breakfast is sumptuous and truly continental, we could argue planetary, with options from all over the world and in the best possible quality... The rooms are specially spacious and graciouslly decorated, with lots of different options to choose from... When arriving at Hong Kong Airport, there is an option of a Bus Service that drops you straight from the airport at this hotel! It is fantastic and the service is very professional! This is not paid advertising! 🤣🤣🤣 And when returning to Hong Kong, you can just go to the Concierge and they will arrange your return... Long live Baiyun Hotel!

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were incredibly helpful and spoke fluent English, making everything so much easier. The free breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options that catered to all tastes. My room was spacious and had a fantastic view of the city, which was a nice bonus. One tip: make sure to request a non-smoking room if that's your preference, as some rooms do allow smoking. Also, if you're visiting from Australia, bring power adapters—there was only one socket compatible with our plugs in the room. Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel for its convenience, amenities, and excellent service!

Next time I will ask for a non-smoking room.

We took the VIP room. The room was really grand with a super amazing view of the city from the 25th floor. Really courteous and helpful staff. Can easily find taxis at hotel lobby itself. Everyone in the city knows this hotel so easy to find also. We got a parcel delivered here from Zhongda and collected from conceirge. They also provided us with umbrellas when it was raining. Unlimited water and newspapers are kept near the lift on every floor. Great view from the breakfast restaurant at the top. We had tea and noodles all the time using the heating kettle. The location is the best of all. It is near to many of the wholesale malls, shopping centres and shopping streets where we had most of our work at. There is a luxury mall attached to the hotel. Also, there is a premium place called the Friendship store next to it. Also present are many branded restaurants nearby like McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King. For Indians I highly recommend the Bombay Grill restaurant which is 8-10 mins walking distance from the hotel. They have a pure veg section on first floor. Breadtalk is another great shop for snacking. For multi cuisine please try 'Mado' restaurant right next to the hotel. Bad experience at Sharmaji and Sultan restaurants. For sim cards and good currency exchange one can go to the Arab shop on the left side of Garden hotel which is across the road from Baiyun.

Nothing as such

The swimming pool was closed I filtered the info about hotel to find the one with a pool. Eventually, the pool was close till march, which was not mentioned during the booking process.

Location is good, near train station and accessible to shopping and restaurants. There is also a very good restaurant that serves very good dim sum. The reception and porter are very helpful and obliging, they helped with the room changing, as I have forgotten to request for non-smoking room. One exceptional thing, the hotel provides free flow drinking water in bottles.

Book direct with the hotel if your travelling plan is subjected to change. My friend in Guangzhou decided to do a 1-night stay in a hot spring hotel on the last day, so I wanted to push my check out date one day earlier. The hotel is agreeable but we could not get agreement from Booking.com.

I recently stayed at Guangzhou Baiyun hotel and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Shining and Mike, who were truly outstanding. Mike’s attention to detail and warm hospitality made me feel right at home. He was always ready to assist with a smile, no matter the time of day. Shining was equally amazing, ensuring everything was perfect and providing great recommendations.

What I like most is the hotel located near to many places, staff were very friendly & helpful especially in the reception-Chen Dan Ni and concierge. You don’t need to buy water from outside as it’s available and offer by hotel all the time for free. The hotel is connected to nice mall, also another bigger mall near by.

The room furniture is old like antique, however the Deluxe & Executive room type are amazing in floor 9, 10 & 26

The manager Mia Cai was exceptional. Initially unhappy with the Business room I had, was moved into a Deluxe room which I adored throughout my 5 night stay here. Mia ensured that I was incredibly well looked after. She maintained constant contact and responded promptly to feedback given. Truly an asset to the business with an understanding of the intricacies that come with hospitality. I’ve stayed at this property a few times in the past and been slightly underwhelmed however is now my hotel of choice thanks to Mia’s care and attention. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

Not much by way of vegetarian food options - infact only chips and spring rolls on the room service menu!! I was charged for breaking a glass in my hotel room - bizarre!!
