Beautiful garden with a variety of flowers and a pond of koi fish. Great breakfast with a view of either the waterfall or panorama of the city. Overall the restaurants offer plenty of choice and the food quality is very good. We had a garden view room and while the garden was quite far from us (floor 15) we could clearly see it. The room itself is very spacious and has nice decor with touches of traditional Lignan architecture. Amenities are top-notch.

The front desk was not particularly helpful or polite. Some improvements can be made in this regard. It was in stark contrast to the concierge staff who were very helpful and friendly.

It’s my second time staying at the Garden Hotel. Gillian arranged for a change in our room and upgraded us to a suite when we arrived after midnight to find that the bathroom to our assigned room was most unsuitable as we had elderly with us as to use the bathroom, we had to climb into the bath which is most dangerous. Enjoyed and appreciated the late check out arranged by the staff.

The bath room is most unsuitable for most people especially the elderly as one had to climb into the bath and even with the most agile it could be dangerous if one slips and falls in.

I have been to china lately so many times , all cities , always hotel stuff and management are good But there was a difference at the Garden Hotel Amazing place , beautiful garden , so comfortable, location so central , super clean and tidy I was mostly so grateful to meet an amazing person who can ANSWER it all , FIX it all , and so close to becoming a friend He did try and try to sort any little problem for us Mr Sing has that karisma and management Again, thank you all the stuff and thank you Mr sing very much for everything

Nothing I didn't like really

My room was comfortable. Most of the staff were friendly. (Tia on 22nd floor is super sweet) The outdoor garden is super beautiful. The Chinese restaurant and Japanese restaurants are both good. The buffet isn’t bad. Not as good as Hyatt in Beijing or even Holiday Inn in Kunming.

The decorations in the lobby were gaudy. Some of the flowers arrangement were ugly (hot pink and orange, furry bunnies!)The gigantic ad for Giada was super ugly with a depressing emaciated model. I had to passed this ad several times a day and it is just depressing. Wish they don’t dress the greeting staff in gold coins. Feel sorry for them. They need to hire better taste decorators.

Great place well located stayed many times

Only one issue on checkout it took 40 minutes as I was paying for 2 rooms something so simple as made so hard was not very happy with this Why why would you take food and drink off the main bill to then put it on another bill to then make me 3 bills after she spent 10 minutes doing this to ask me would I like it all on one bill then to inform me that they had lost the records of my pre payment and could I check my account to see how much I had already paid

- You can smell the elegance as soon as you walk in and it is oozing style. - Comfortable bed! - Great location. Close to subway and a lot of good restaurants! - Great staff. Gave us flowers and free breakfasts because the system was a bit slow when checking us in. - Wifi with VPN!! - Free gym is decent! - Great breakfast!

- The wifi was a bit unstable and the connection could be very very poor, which is very frustrating.. - Their system needs to be upgraded because check-in and check-out can be really slow..

Spectacular hotel lobby with huge gilded murals. Great garden with waterfalls. Enjoyed the bar (By the Pond) and the in-house restaurant (Stiller) very much. Liked the fragrance too - a mix of bamboo and lotus, regrettable that it was not for sale. Staff were all warm and helpful.

The layout of the standard twin room was rather awkward - lack of privacy between the bathroom section and the bedroom section. Difficult to fully enjoy the bathtub too.

ITS ME SECOND STAY AT THIS HOTEL, AND BOTH TIMES WHEN I STAYED AT THIS HOTEL,THEY ALWAYS CHARGE ME DOUBLE FOR MY ROOM AND IT GIVES ME PROBLEMS WHEN I GET BACK HOME TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITH MY BANK,ITS FRUSTRATING,I STILL HAVE A ON GOING ISSUE WITH MY FREINDS ROOM AND HE STILL DID NOT GET A LETTER FROM THE HOTEL IN ORDER FOR THE BANK TO CLEAR THE PEDNDING FUNDS ON HIS BANK ACCOUNT

In general, we’re very happy and satisfied with our staying in the hotel. One of the best hotel in Guangzhou, several of restaurants and interesting places, the garden of the hotel and the museum are extremely nice. Very recommended to book a guide tour of the hotel, it’s free charge if you’re staying in the hotel. Henry was the guide who guided us visit 25 interesting points of the hotel. We definitely recommend this hotel.

More installation for children is needed.

The staff are very good and friendly, food is excellent it a bit pricey.

There is still an issue with roadworks but a lot better than 18 months ago. The check in process is ridiculously long and you always have to argue about not staying on the roadworks side dispute having stated it clear in the booking notes. I notice the hotel is t as full as it used to be so I suspect I’m not the only one having issues.
