Lovely swimming pool and staff. Food in the restaurant was just delicious! It’s approximately 10 minutes by bus from Tayrona NP. Just go outside in front of the hotel and stop a bus passing by. As we were spending the night in Tayrona NP we left our luggage in the hotel which was no problem at all!

The rooms are a bit worn but definitely ok and clean and with nice hot shower. We spent most of the time out of our room anyway, enjoying the lovely pool and restaurant.

True retreat. Extensive spa facilities. The wet areas were very well kept. The food absolutely delicious. Dinner and breakfast were the best we had in that part of the country and very reasonably priced for the quality. Vanessa, member of the staff, was incredibly helpful and attentive. The same with the reception. Warm and efficient welcome. The proximity to the river is a very attractive feature.

The rooms are a bit tired. However, you spend very little time there for it to become an issue. Maybe fix the bedside lamps. Also, found the massage prices a bit high compared to similar retreats in the area.

Fantastic food from Carlos the cook and fantastic hospitality from Charles and his team! The site is beautiful and directly next to the river. So don’t forget you mosquito spray! Very helpful team, we asked them to store our luggage for two days because we stayed in tayrona for two nights and it was no problem at all. They even offered us to use the pool area afterwards.

So many good things. Delicious and affordable food. Comfortable clean rooms. Beautiful grounds with an amazing pool. The steam room was excellent! The best thing out of all, though, was the unbelievably good service! I got sick during our stay and the staff were so, so kind - helped me to find a pharmacy, organised taxis, offered breakfast in bed and special teas to help me feel better. Couldn’t have asked for more, thank you so much!

Nothing! The only thing would be a slightly dated bedroom that needed a lick of paint, but not badly by any means.

Peace and quiet. A large swimming pool that we had almost to ourselves. Good drinks and food. The staff tries very hard but speaks little English. Wifi was available practically only at the reception. The place has a few gems, such as a net over the river where you can lie down. Unfortunately, the age of this hotel is already visible, but it still has its charm

Kantawa is a stunning oasis. Our rooms was gorgeous, full of beautiful touches. The bed was a dream! The grounds are lush, quiet and border a flowing river. The spa is everything we could want, from wet & dry saunas to hydro massage loungers to hot tubs and cooling cascades. The staff is amazing, from check in, to meals, to spa services to check out!

I wish we’d stayed longer.

The pool with hydromassage beds and showers, the sauna, massage and especially the jacuzzi was amazing! We loved being in the pool while seeing butterflies and birds flying around. The service of all the staff was excellent. A special thanks to Cesar, who went out of his way to arrange a driver to bring the bikini that I left in the hotel to our next destination -:) The rooms were basic, but the quality of the wellness services exceeded our expectations.

The grounds are absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! The staff went above and beyond, making us feel so comfortable and welcoming. The pool has so many different types of massage, which was needed after a long day of hiking the Tayrona loop. The hot tub does take an hour to heat up, but that was no problem at all for us. Just let them know if you plan on using it in the evening and they’re happy to turn it on for you! I think it’s great they’re not wasting power to heat up multiple hot tubs and use precious resources, when not in use. The food was delicious too! I can’t really say enough about Kantawa, I wish we spent our whole vacation here! Highly recommend!

beautiful well kept up property. a really big beautiful pool with water features and great temp. nice big rooms with firm big beds like I like. Friendly staff.

they only had little bottles of water for the room so we had to keep filling our camping bottles (I’m just NOT buying hundreds of little plastic bottles!!). there should be either a free big bottle in the room, or a more accessible flow of filtered water than going to the dining room and asking for a fill up. it was often hard to find staff when needed and no phones or intercoms in rooms. I recommend they check in with clients while at central poolside location. they could have sold us more products and services that way too! but overall an amazing location/ property/ people!

I dont even know where to start. This was the most amazing stay we've had in a long time. Surrounded by nature, yet secluded and safe, the staff were so lovely and attentive, anything you need they will bring to you at any time. Food, drinks were amazing. A perfect provate retreat. So beautiful! Just minutes to Tayrona National Park which is a must-do! Towns not far either.

A softer bed, but that's just my personal preference.
