We loved our stay at Casa Luna. The property is beautiful - very relaxing and great to relax in the jacuzzi after a wet busy day! The reception staff particularly Karen and Katya prior to our arrival were exceptional. Food is good. Luna suite was spacious. However my biggest shout out is to Antonio one of the grounds men who walked around one evening looking for wildlife for us. He didn’t manage to find the red eyed frog he wanted to some found it in the morning and showed us. We were just leaving so perfect last impressions.

These things did not spoil our stay but the breakfast staff are grumpy each morning ! One day we didn’t want to sit in a dark corner but as the front tables were set for 4 we couldn’t sit there. The tables are all the same size just extra settings. It rains a lot and unexpectedly - you have one umbrella in your room. It would be great to have them dotted around the property. We were wet a lot - somewhere to dry your clothes in your room or outside would be really helpful.

We truly enjoyed stay at this property. Great location, very close to the downtown, yet in quiet settings (if you don't count noise of birds and monkeys :)), beautiful lash gardens through whole resort. Staff was very friendly and helpful, restaurant had good food, breakfast was good, and menu for the rest of the day had variety for all who did not feel like driving out to downtown. There were few restaurants walking distance as well. Resort grounds were beautiful, gorgeous lush gardens, they even have their own trail where we seen monkeys. Pool is on smaller side and they could have few more beds arounds, but most people do daily activities anyway. 7 hot tubs were great, you could always find at least one empty to enjoy. We did not use the spa, but it looked great facing the rainforest, very serene. Rooms were very spacious, we were on upper floor, with large balcony and view of volcano, each room had umbrella for rainy moments, shower had great pressure, good ammenities. And let me tell you, this was probably the cleanest hotel I ever stayed in. I accidentaly spilled bottle of water on the floor, used the towel (white) to wipe it, it happened in main walk-through area in the room, and when done, you would not even tell the towel was used to wipe the floors, clean as new.. Very impressive. Reception helped us arrange some activities when we arrived, pick up at the hotel, super easy. Very relaxed and comfortable stay! Would definitely recommend and come back.

The only downside was not enough space to put away things, cloth etc.... there was small short hanging closet, and 3 tiny side shelves, we lived 4 days out of carry-ons. Not a dealbreaker but would be nice to have place to unpack to.

The property is absolutely beautiful, the staff are all super friendly and keep the place very tidy and clean, and the breakfasts each morning are absolutely delicious. We also had a couples honeymoon spa treatment which was very relaxing and the spa staff were very friendly and professional throughout! I couldn’t recommend Casa Luna enough

Our only gripe was the WiFi. It’s only available in the common areas and not in the rooms which is a bit of a pain when you’re trying to organize activities for your trip or watch something online in the evenings. (They also advertize that the TV’s in the rooms can work with streaming services, which is technically true except they don’t have internet because there’s no WiFi).

The place screams relaxation, as long as you're away from the pool area when lots of families are there. The rooms are lovely with a balcony. The private jacuzzis throughout the property are wonderful. I enjoyed taking the hiking trail on the property. It was very serene with gorgeous lush green views. Breakfast was a very full buffet, and customer service was great from all staff. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby hot springs as well as just relaxing on the grounds.

I enjoyed my stay, and only wish the area the property was in was more walkable. There's no sidewalks, and after seeing a car accident occur right outside of the hotel, I wouldn't recommend trying your luck on those streets. Also, driving there from the coast was a bit scary at times. Not for the faint of heart, but worth it once I arrived.

Amenities: trails were beautiful an added bonus Breakfast was a wonderful selection Staff were friendly Tons of birds and exquisite plants We liked that the hot tubs felt private Felt very safe, parking was convenient Near town but off the main road Tremendous amount of flora! Awesome birding! We saw toucans and on our Merlin app , 12 birds were picked up in 4 minutes If you want a nature slash city stay with amenities this is the place but if you want more of a nature driven vacation hidden from the hustle and bustle of the very busy town of la fortuna then i would opt for an Airbnb or arenal lodge

Couldn’t see the volcano but it was not the fault of location just depends on weather A little high for Costa Rica -$250 a night Live bands on weekends There is no WiFi in rooms so if you are trying to work remote, it’s a no go

Breakfast was good - lovely staff. Pool are was great. Nice walk in the grounds into the forest. Location a little out of town, but gave a more relaxed feel.

Breakfast was all served, including drinks - would have been easier to have a drinks station to self serve tea/coffee etc. The wifi was only in public areas and didn't extend to our room (and often there wasn't a phone signal in the room either). The pool was opened at 8am in the morning (could have been earlier) and the pool was closed off in the evening - as that was one of the three areas with wifi, it meant that even if you just wanted to sit and use the wifi, you couldn't in that space.

The hotel has great location, away from the downtown noise and traffic yet close to attractions, restaurants, and supermarkets. The reception staff is very welcoming and they offer great recommendations for tours and activities. The pools and jacuzzis were great, offering several options to choose from. Great cocktails at the pool bar! The rooms were spotless clean and well equipped. I particularly liked the beds and the high quality toiletry products. The highlight was the perfect volcano view from my room!

The rooms had a slight mildew smell so I had a bit of trouble sleeping the first night (I am allergic). The next morning I opened all windows and doors and let the air in all day, that seemed to help. While this is not uncommon in tropical environments, especially in the tail end of the rainy season, this is something that the hotel could take care of proactively. The restaurant staff is not very friendly, even a bit grumpy at times, and the food is just OK. However you can find plenty of great options everywhere in La Fortuna.

The hotel was located in a beautiful green neighborhood, lots of trees, fruit trees and flowers. We were able to spotted a slug and several frogs, if you love birds..this is the place to see them. The staff surprised with a beautiful towel animal shape and a platter with chocolate covered strawberries, we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Everything was amazing! The breakfast was delicious and completed, it was close to the La Fortuna waterfall site. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The room need more light and internet connection.

The WiFi did not work in any of the rooms which was not clear when I booked and made things tricky. I had to go into the reception for WiFi Also breakfast is from 7 which is too late when yours start at 7.30 prompt

The room was fine for our needs during a 2 night stay. The grounds were beautiful and tropical, with a trail and stairs leading to a nearby stream, and passing by the ponds used to raise tilapia for use by the restaurant. We saw a sloth high in the trees. We didn't spend much time at the pool or try the spa services but both seemed fine for use during a longer stay. The included breakfast in the restaurant was quite nice and dinner one night was very good and reasonably priced.

The wifi in the lobby and restaurant were fine but in the room was mostly useless. Early morning was ok, which indicates a bandwidth problem when more people start connecting. It is a fairly long walk to get from the resort to other shops or restaurants, but traffic was not too heavy. The parking area did fill up but didn't seem to be a problem.
