The facilities were fantastic, the rainforest sorroundings and lots of green areas were amazing. The cabines were good, well equiped. The staff were really nice and payed attention to ones need. And lastly the pool was really nice.

Internet service was laking, it was really poor. We stayed for a few days and it was an ongoing issue ever since we got there; just a few moments were we could connect to the network, therefore communication outside the facilities was almost none existing. The TV service was affected because of that as well, the few channels they had also had buffering issues and froze from time to time.

Great hotel in great location, the room was spacious , lovely and well equipped! (2 bed house). Pool area was amazing, great to have hot tubs right with the pool, reception staff at check in and check out were helpful and informative. Local area fantastic to explore, loved the waterfalls and hot springs, had a good walk round arsenal paths.

Staff just did not seem friendly, aside from the reception staff the staff were poor. There was noone available at the bars, when you could order a drink it took a looooong time, and in the restaurant breakfast was thrown at us and getting coffee was an effort.

The grounds and gardens are stunning. The pool area and hot tubs were very nice. The restaurant was very good and an excellent value. We enjoyed happy hour from 6-7 where drinks were 2 for 1. The breakfast was a choice from 3 options and all were tasty. The rooms are very basic but they were clean. The AC worked great and a good fridge. We had the family balcony room. We really liked that it was two separate bedrooms. The master bedroom had a king bed and the balcony was off that room. The other room had two queens. There was a huge closet lots of space for our bags.

The family balcony room overlooks a driveway. Bedding could be improved. It’s about a 30 minute walk to town.

Excellent location just outside of La Fortuna. Great for families or travelers with rental cars. Easy parking and a variety of lodging options between the guest houses and bungalows. Breakfast was included in our stay and also very good which made mornings much easier with our children in tow. Good views of the volcano from the property on a clear day. Landscaping is beautiful and lots of birds fly in and around the property. Pool area was great for the kids in between our daily activities.

The only thing i'd point out is that in the pool area, the two 'hot' tubs are warmed by a stream of very hot water that pours in from above. If you don't know what it is, it is easy to get burned by accidentally touch it.

The property as a whole is beautiful. The staff was friendly and informative. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds comfortable. It felt like we were in the jungle and had a babbling brook nearby rocking us to sleep.

The towel limitations cause discomfort. We asked for more towels because we had used our towels already and needed dry ones but we were told we wouldn’t be able to get new towels until the following day as we are only allowed one towel a day per person. We had to use the cards for the pool towels and those are just one a day as well.

We really liked Orquideas. It felt like a vacation resort with beautifully maintained grounds and large pools. There is a restaurant on premises that we ate at after a late arrival. This is also where they serve breakfast in the morning, where you can choose from 4 breakfast options. The Wifi is fast and available throughout the property. We were in rooms 13 (upstairs) and 14 (downstairs). The upstairs room was light and had windows on both sides. But the downstairs unit was dark and smelled a bit musty when the AC was off. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

The orientation of some of the rooms made them appear dark and less inviting than the upstairs units.

We had the room on the first floor behind in the garden - that was really excellent because of the 2 balconies and the view. We could see some birds from our room and it felt like sleeping in the jungle - unbelievable how loud the crickets and cicadas could be. The pool is quite big and open from 7am till 10pm with 3 hot tubs. The hotel has it own restaurant - also open the whole day long.

The breakfast was ok, ala carte with 3 choices. The portions could be bigger. There were just 2 small shelves in our room and 4 hooks - we couldn't unpack our suitcases.

This was a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds. We arrived before check-in and they were very accommodating to let us leave our baggage while we enjoyed the area. This hotel is very close (by car) to the La Fortuna Waterfall, downtown, and the rope swing. Most of the pools are not heated, but our boys still had fun playing, and I stayed in the warmest (not hot) pool. The breakfast was very nice, cooked hot to order from 3 options. We had hoped to leave early for Mistico Bridges on our second day, and were surprised that breakfast didn't start until 7, and even then, you needed to order and wait for your food to cook, so that's just good to know not to plan to leave too early if you want breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

Once we checked in, we did find it a little odd, that there was welding happening right outside, just below our door. There was a tarp that covered most of the sparks, but it was a little disconcerting. Also, the balcony looks out onto a parking lot, and with the welding was a little loud.

The places is lot better than the pictures. It felt like a mini oasis resort with it's beautiful pools, faux waterfalls and a hot tub/spa which is great during aqua zero (rain pours). We had a family bungalow and it felt very private and was quite. House keeping was very good and the grounds are beautiful. La Fortuna is very small town, and this is just outside the "El Salto" - rope swing/jump area where you can walk to (in 5 mins). It's a great place to stay for a family and save some money away from those hotspring resorts up northwest of La Fortuna.

You would need a car to stay here or plan on a 20-30 mins walk into center of La Fortuna. One of the restaurant staff was unpleasant serving us during breakfast. I think she was just tired from working long weekend shifts, but other than that, it's a beautiful hotel that we really enjoyed. 10/10.

The breakfast options were good. My husband and son really enjoyed the burgers at the restaurant. I liked the figurines the cleaning staff left on our bed. Very nice touch! Cleaning staff and grounds person were all very nice. The grounds were beautiful. My son really liked little "Bobby."

One of the receptionists wasn't very accommodating. We arrived at about 8:00 PM. I asked for more towels, and she said she was leaving already and didn't want to open the door to get towels and would have someone take them to our room in the AM by 8:00. I never received them. I had to go back and speak to another receptionist who was much nicer and she gave them to me. Our shower wouldn't drain. We had to complain twice to finally get it fixed. Our faucet was loose and we didn't get any hot water from it.
