The siting of it was superb, overlooking the river and with the birdlife there. The little road it was on was great for other wildlife - we saw toucans and a giant iguana up the top of a tree. On the site itself we saw beautiful frogs, some big strutting birds, motmot birds and loved chilling in the small cold pool. It was nice to be around other visitors and to share their stories. Along the road is a little minimarket and a cafe which does fab food reasonably priced. All just 5 mins walk from the site. We also liked being next door to the chocolate farm and loved the tour with chocolate making.

Once we discovered taxis it was fine, but the walk to town wasn't really safe at night as there was no footway. The rooms were snug but worth it to be so close to the river. Not any fault of the site, but the air was too damp in that area to dry clothes. So we had a room full of wet clothes not really drying. A clothes dryer to hand would have been very useful.

The property is located in a lush retreat by the river. You feel like you are in the jungle. We really liked the grounds and our last day just hung out relaxing. There's several pools and even a pool down by the river. Our cabana had a terrace out back where we enjoyed morning coffee with the river running by, beautiful trees and birds. It was close enough to Fortuna just 5 minutes by car but away from it all. Very relaxing. It was extremely good value for the price. The staff were polite.

The bed was a bit soft and the kitchen could do with a few more utensils for cooking. The listing had said there was a BBQ but it wasn't really operational. The property needs some updating but they seemed to be working on that. We really enjoyed it nonetheless.

Small complex right next to a beautiful river, very quiet and private. There are a couple of common areas covered with roofs, so you can stay outside even if it rains. Great place for a family gathering or a vacation with large group of friends. Our room was impeccably clean and had well equipped kitchen. There's a small grocery shop nearby, which was super convenient since we didn't have a car. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive - especially the front desk guy, who helped us multiple times and made us feel very welcomed here.

Wonderful wildlife sounds from the river behind our room. We saw a lovely selection of birds and enjoyed hanging out in the hammocks and hanging chairs. We had space to cook in our apartment and there was lots of to entertain us like ping pong tables and pool table. A lot of the items were quite old but an interesting place to stay with lots of space.

Our room had a bunkbed that was so noisy that none of wanted to sleep on it as it squeked every time you turned over. The drains had a bad smell at times.

This was a great place. We ended up being in the big house that could accommodate a lot more people than we had, but it was still great value. The bathrooms have recently been remodeled. Some other things are a bit more rustic, but there are air conditioners in each bedroom. We ate every breakfast out on the patio The property is fun…hidden things like a pool by the trail next to the river, central cabana with pool and foosball next to a narrow tiered pool with fluorescent lights. Our kids were super into it :) great location right outside of La Fortuna. Super nice office staff. Obviously a lot of love going into this property.

A place created with lots of love. We had a little apartment next to the river, that’s all we needed. River can be heard at night, just to mention for those who have a light sleep. There was a jacuzzi, some pools filled with the fresh water of the river, a fun area where you can play Billard etc. There are Camping possibilities available as well. The whole area is nicely decorated and planted. The staff/family is very friendly and arranged tours in advance, we were picked up by the companies. All in all a very good experience!

Nothing to avoid… very humid in the apartment when it’s raining, our clothes were slightly moisturized. As the name says, it’s a hidden place! It’s s bit outside of town, so you might need a car.

Helpful and sympathetic staff, easy to contact them via whatsapp. The hotel area was very comfy and in touch with the local nature. Easy and safe parking. We also had a cute little balcony to the river.

The river was very, very loud which is right next to the apartments. The rooms are also exceptionally humid (which is understandable as the whole La Fortuna area is humid).

It was amazing place with peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by nature. We had a river in our backyard.

The location is far way from any restaurant or the city center, so if you don’t have a car it is not that easy to move around. We tried Uber but the drivers didn’t want to come that far.

This place is great, it has all the equipments for staying a few nights, cooking etc.... It was comfortable and clean. The outside was amazing, gardens, 3 swimming pools, river, terrace, bbq, jacuzzi, leisure area... it was fun to spend time there and close to activities

I asked for laundry, the reception told us to leave the bag in our room, and it would be picked up the next morning to be cleaned up during the day. I also texted the reception via the Booking.com app to make sure they would remember. We came back to the room the afternoon and nobody picked up the bag nor answered my message. We had to go to the city center's laundry, which was annoying, thankfully it took them 2hrs to get our laundry done.

Many things to explore on the property. The room were nice and accommodating. Super close to a river access and it could see it from my room as well as my extended porch area . Very peaceful
