Perfect location right near the centre. All the staff at this hotel were super helpful and really lovely. Staff helped with booking activities and recommendations. Easy to get to different locations for activities in this region/area.

There was no kettle in the rooms. So no tea or coffee making facilities. Breakfast was served from 7am onwards - so unable to make yourself a hot drinks when just chilling at the hotel or if you had a early morning activity.

It is modestly arranged hotel, but ideally suited my needs. It has a bar on the upper floor (with a swing!) and a restaurant as a lobby. There's a "rest corner" with hammock too. Maybe it was a coincidence but I've got a relatively large room with 2 double beds and a catafalque. I used this catafalque-bed as a wardrobe+countertop. The room had an air conditioning!!! (it was 31°C in the room w/o it). Private bathroom was rather tight but for one person still OK. Private parking is near by with a closed gate (you get a key to the paddlelock) for those afraid of parking on the street. Often the street in front of the hotel was available for parking, so I had my car straight there. Nice breakfast included in the room price is even nicer variety from the ever-dreadful-hell-overpriced La Fortuna and its attractions.

Over optimistic furnituring - 5 people in 10m² room? Really? You need to replace bathroom door - it needs to be sliding one.

Has a terrace where you can observe the volcano at anytime. The personnel are very courteous and helpful. La Colina is close to the main church, stores, lots of restaurants but their food is really good and prices reasonable. Also they have a share kitchen and groceries store are near.

The TV is small an really high on the wall.

Staff were incredible - in special Fran who was outstanding when we arrived. Room was very good, the volcano view helped us to decide what to do and what time we should start our tours.

The wait staff did not have our preordered breakfast ready, and seemed to not know we had requested it, but we saw the request written the day before.

We loved the location of this hotel. We were in walking distance from restaurants & shops! The staff were very accommodating and super friendly! The restaurant attached served good food. There was live entertainment in the middle of the week which was such a treat!

We had a room close to the lobby/restaurant and the commotion of people was a bit noisy at times.

Breakfast was included in the price of the lodging, and it was an excellent meal. The hotel was centrally located, and everything was within a walking distance.

Small shower/bathroom. Clean room - shared spaces weren’t terrible but not super clean.

All the staff were very friendly and helped me alot. The room was good value, spacious and clean.
