Beds were SO comfortable, and pillows were superb, the sheets were also top notch for the price range. It was nice to have a/c in the room and a lovely bathroom filly equipped. The breakfast ommelettes were *superb* and it was terrific to have bfast outside with a large coffee pot ready and equipped. Such a lovely place.

As a family of four, the room was lovely, with a bunk bed. I think the top bunk might benefit from a safety rail so the person on top doesn't get too worried about rolling over the side. In addition, much to my wife's concern, we were treated to the happy sounds of two gentlemen on the next room over who seemed to be having a really good evening with each other. Perhaps the quad room needs a little distance from the big spoon/little spoon room ; ) Regardless, it is a lovely hotel with lovely hosts!

The location is good, the room has a kitchen, and it is a good deal for the price. You can choose breakfast. The tour started early, but they prepared it. When the pick-up time for the tour had passed and I was worried, the person who seemed to be the owner spoke to me, and I was relieved.

We arrived at 9:30 p.m. by Uber taxi. I thought it would be okay because it was written on Booking.com that check-in was until 10 p.m., but the reception was already closed and there was no one. The taxi driver contacted the hotel owner and we were able to get into the room, but otherwise we would have panicked until we noticed an email from the hotel owner. There are many things I'm worried about during the trip, and I wanted an explanation at the time of booking.

Great location a couple blocks off the main streets and same to the main square. Believe me as I had 4 nights over closer to the square and extremely noisy from traffic and motorbikes etc. was very hard to sleep and I had earplugs! When I got to Hotel Alicia where I spent 6 nights I let out a sigh of relief~ so serene, so peaceful~so clean, accommodating and comfortable!!! Great breakfast, coffee and the folks that work there are sweet and helpful!

Hotel was great value for money and walking distance to town. They had staff at reception for vast majority of the day (until 8pm), so you could ask for help during the day if you needed something with your room or with booking transportation or activities. Also, the nice free breakfast was a great perk! Room was nice and clean too.

Could sometimes hear loud guests talking while eating breakfast or waiting for transportation early in the morning

Nice, cozy hotel in a perfect location, close to the bus stop and to a couple of supermarkets. The whole staff is very kind and helpful. A special thank to Manuel, who found the perfect hot springs spot for me. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast fresh and tasty.

Above my room was an extremely noisy airco system (from another room) that went on all night. Despite the management 's efforts to reduce the noise, I only managed to sleep using earplugs.

Great location, wonderful staff (especially Fabiola), great homecoooked breakfast, quiet neighbourhood.

The apartment had a few maintenance issues when we arrived but the staff was very responsive when we called attention to them. And just to show how responsive they were, when we were waiting for our shuttle and it was late Fabiola took it upon herself to contact the shuttle company even though we hadn’t asked her.

Hotel Alicia surpassed expectations. Great customer service and a very clean and quiet environment. We had to find last minute lodging for a friend visiting from abroad and Hotel Alicia delivered! At all levels this hotel is to be commended for the friendly and helpful staff. It’s not right on the main streets of La Fortuna, so it is a quiet environment. Immaculate cleanliness.

The personell was very helpful and nice, helping us with organizing transport to our next stay and answering all our questions. The breakfast was good (continental, not buffé) and the room was clean. Had everything we needed for three nights.

Could be a bit small for three persons with big bags or suitcases. Also it is a bit easy to hear between the room and the neighbour room, especially in the bathroom.

The hotel was lovely and clean and staff helpful and friendly. The location was close to amenities and the edge of town. There was a great selection of breakfast choices included in the price.

It was nice to be on a quiet street. The only downside was something beyond the hotel’s control. The neighbour’s dog barked quite a bit.

The staff is absolutely amazing! They helped us with everything, from tours to late checkin and early checkout with special breakfast to go. Usually the breakfast has many options and is prepared for each person on the spot, it was really good! The location is good too, we were tired so decided to drive to the center which is a 2 minute ride. The bathrooms were big!

One of our rooms was a bit small in comparison to the bathroom but nothing that disturbed our stay.
