WiFi was hit and miss - rarely got connection in our room (No.26) Note on breakfast: Served between 6:30 and 9:30, We arrived at 9.20 and they were already partly packing away and as soon as 9.30 hit it was all packed away This made eating our breakfast feel uncomfortable I understand people shouldn’t take a seat after 9.30am, however I think the clear up should start once everyone has left their table and has finished eating

You will definitely get your moneys worth here. Facilities are simple but everything is in good shape and functional. The access to the volcano lodge hot springs was a great add on (hot pools, showers, lockers..). Staff was great, (guards, front desk, breakfast peeps..!!) Everyone was very helpful and kind. breakfast is a buffet with a wide variety which is greatly appreciated although quantity seems to be a priority over quality (but for the price honestly can’t complain). Location is good in downtown fortuna and plenty of parking inside of property.

Only negative was that bedsheets in one of the beds was dirty upon arrival but was quickly replaced.

San Bosco Inn is an absolute gem. We wanted to be in Fortuna, to be able to walk to restaurants, not out at one of the resort type places outside of town. San Bosco gave us that, while being on a very quiet street just two blocks from the central plaza. The 24 hour security gave us complete peace of mind in this very busy tourist town. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The best part of the experience were the bonuses that were unexpected. "Breakfast included" does not come close to describing the full on buffet that we enjoyed each morning. It was more like brunch than breakfast. The other big surprise was that San Bosco is brother hotels with the resort-like Volcano Lodge, about 7 km away. Which means that we were able to make use of the thermal pools (swim up bar!) there after getting wrist bands and pool towels at the front desk of San Bosco. What a treat after a day spent hiking through the jungle. Our whole family agreed that we would enthusiastically recommend San Bosco Inn to anyone going to La Fortuna.

Practical buildout of the buildings, rooms, facilities and furnishings. Some nice style and decoration (stonework), gardening. Nice pools, although not for swimming, also the area surrounding them. Tasty and variety of food on breakfast. Nice location-close to the town centre and some nice restaurants and shops. Also, good for looking at the volcano (when not in clouds). Nice option for using hot natural water facilities in a partnering hotel. Helpful, polite staff. Excellent value for money.

A bit dated, can benefit from redecoration/maintenance, but it didn’t cause us any issue.

Excellent check-in process and attention during the stay. Parking on site, central location, excellent wifi, good choice at breakfast. Large bedroom and bathroom. Free access from 12 noon to 8pm to their sister property Volcano Lodge where you can enjoy thermal waters. Ypu can actually access it twice, on the day of arrival and after checking out.

There is only one single light in the bedroom, and not of high intensity. Not easy to read under those conditions . . . while there are two lights in the smaller bathroom. Considering the overall quality of the hotel, I hope they can quickly correct this.

I booked this hotel because of the free passes to Arenal Volcano Lodge hot springs. I checked the price of day passes at Tabacon and Baldi and they were pricey. The hot springs there were WONDERFUL! La Fortuna was at the end of our vacation and we were getting worn out from the activity-heavy schedule- so to just go there at sunset and relax until they closed at 9 was just what we needed. Staff was wonderful and I enjoyed the coffee they had out all day. I had a 7am sloth tour and they had coffee for me at 5:30am and let me go through the tasty and varied buffet breakfast at 6:20am so I had a full tummy for the tour. We were busy and didn't get to enjoy the pool or lounge in the area with the hammock. The grounds were enclosed and plenty of parking and felt very safe as we were 1/2 block from the center city square. Lots of good sodas nearby and good location for walking the city center. Great view of the volcano from the courtyard/pool area!

There were 3 of us and our room was upstairs in the back next to a sewing room (a business during the day) with no view at all ---so that was my only complaint. It was quiet at night and beds were comfortable.

San Bosco is terrific with an excellent location (essentially a landmark in town), quiet and safe at night (with security), and offers great views around the property. Alejandra and team were extremely helpful in telling us what we need to know for the town and was VERY responsive before/during/after my stay. They can help you arrange anything you need (transport, excursions, activities,etc.) Great views for those staying on the upper level with the opportunity to lounge on the terrace. Breakfast is a buffet offered for a long period time and the selection is very wide with meats, breakfast items ( pancakes, syrup, cold cuts), breakfast staples (rice,beans, eggs,etc.), many fruits, fresh juices and a view to sit by the pool. What a great way to start your morning. I definitely recommend this location and hope they continue this amazing service for me when I return to visit in the future! Muchas gracias y pura vida!

Excellent location. Walkable to restaurants. Great parking. very secure. Water pressure and temperature in shower was fabulous. Well made breakfast and delicious coffee. Staff were very helpful and friendly and very professional. Pass to the Volcano Lodge is amazing. Perfect hotel to use as a base while you explore Arenal and La Fortuna.

No small fridge in room so you can't keep supplies cold (we used ice and the pail from the room). Nowhere to fill water bottles, but the staff was helpful and filled it for me in the evening.

The location is near restaurant's and stores in the center. It's a nice hotel with a lot of space. The rooms are good, the pool seemed nice even though we haven't used it cause of the rain. The view is great: Arenal volcano (if you see it from the fog). Breakfast was pretty nice. Some hardcore meals like pulled pork, but of course gallo pinto, eggs, pancakes... Coffee and tea all day is a nice touch. The best part was the free pass into the hot springs in another hotel. We took uber and it was around 5 dollars in one direction. They give you towels.

Everything was good.

Hotel is located in La Fortuna so makes walking around town and finding a restaurant easy. Volcano view from hotel. Nice sized rooms that are comfortable with hot water, AC, and TV. Delicious free buffet breakfast (pinto, eggs, sausage, veggie, fruits, cheese, toast, pancakes, juices, coffee/tea)plus pancakes). Free parking and WiFi. Free one day (12-9 pm) Access to sister Volcano Lodge to swim in hot springs and pool with Volcano view. Approximately 15 minute drive. We stay here every year.
