The room exceeded my expectations, the view of the volcano was spectacular, and the grounds around us were beautiful, they even have a walking trail that looked interesting, we didn't have time to do that. The breakfast was just right, a nice assortment, a usual Costa Rican breakfast. The only thing we would have enjoyed is if there was a pool on the premises, at the end of a long day, it would have been nice to cool off in a pool, although we were told we could use the pool in the hotel next door, but we were to tired to walk over there. There's a good restaurant right across the street, but it's easy to get an Uber and go into the little town, only 10 minutes away.

An amazing location in the countryside with a beautiful setting and an incredible view of Volcán Arenal. Very quiet and peaceful, with access to a short but lovely forest trail. Each cabin has a deck where you can sit in the mornings with your coffee and listen to the birds and monkeys. Spacious room with a nice bathroom. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and assisted with making arrangements. A bit far from town, but easy to get around by Uber.

One of the beds had rubberized sheets which were very squeaky! But you just need to ask to have them changed.

The 3 days and 2 nights spent here and around were the highlights of our trip. We have been welcome superkindly at the reception, finding out we acquired the villa. Which is just awesome: 2 spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds, full kitchen, stylish bathroom, huge living room area - and a patio with a jaw-dropping garden view. There's even a small rainforest attached to the property, with a clear path all along, we had a fantastic 1-hour morning tour over there, what a way to start your day. The property is outside the crowded and loud La Fortuna city area, it's perfect for a silent getaway and chillout in the garden before heading to the popular attractions of the area. The breakfast was immensely good, all sorts of food, such as fresh (and sweet) fruits, yoghurts and granolas, meat and cheese, and the BEST gallo pinto we tasted in Costa Rica. Juice, coffee, hot and chilled water have been provided as well.

Very accommodating staff. Check in agent was helpful in recommending restaurants and even made phone calls to help us locate a Catholic church and research Mass times. Hearty, delicious, healthy breakfast. Quiet room. Great bathroom and shower. Small fridge was helpful. Good WIFI. Great location, easy to access with plenty of parking, a bit away from busy part of town so we didn't have to struggle to get on/off main road, but still easy to drive to restaurants and activities. Easy pick up / drop off for tourist buses at reception area. Great value. Reasonably priced compared to alternatives in area.

Absolutely nothing to dislike.

What a place! It exceeded all my expectations. I had cabin 7 with the most amazing view of the volcano and the incredibly well kept gardens. Very comfy bed, useful fridge, spacious room, super clean, and a very private terrace area with table and chairs. Great AC too. The hotel has its own little forest trail with stream where I photographed some great birds. The location is superb for a bird photographer like me. Nice and quiet but within easy reach of all the places I wanted to go. Free allocated parking space and easy walk to the cabins. Breakfast was typical Tico, buffet style and plenty of it. There's a mini market (no fresh stuff but great for drinks and snacks) and a wonderful bakery cafe called Raul Castano within a 200yd walk. Brian the receptionist is fab and speaks great English. Everyone who worked there was so friendly and polite. Highly recommend it and would definitely go back.

We had 2 cabins situated next to each other and connected by a walkway. That was fun. The area is secluded, beautiful and quiet, where you can hear all the birds. Also, a fabulous view of the volcano if it's not cloudy. We had a nice porch with 2 rocking chairs and a table to enjoy nature. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was a traditional Costa Rican breakfast- it was delicious. We would return and would 100% recommend.

We found that the hot water in the shower was hit or miss. It was never cold, but sometimes not hot.

Very convenient and close to other restaurants. Not too close and not too far from the town. Nice views, lot of hibiscus and other flowering plants. Lots of birds to see. Hummingbirds, parrots and so many more. Rustic, clean, quiet place, beds were wonderful, decent breakfast. If you are looking for fancy accommodations, find something else. This is just what we wanted. I would stay again.

Location, location, location. Rooms as advertised; comfortable, clean and quiet. Wonderful 4 Day Stay at Hotel Campo Verde Absolutely wonderful stay at Campo Verde. Cottages are as advertised and the views from your door step are spectacular. I was in cabin 2. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Bed sleeps well and shower water pressure was quite strong, which is great pressure after a day of tours and adventures. Air conditioning worked fine. Area is very peaceful; especially at night and early mornings. Real sounds of nature to fall asleep and awaken too. Very minimal traffic noise for my location. There is a Steakhouse directly across the street. Music can be a bit loud during dinner hrs, esp. if your cottage is closer to hotel entrance. Ate there twice and the food is very good. Expect American prices as each dinner (200 gram steak) was about $30-$35 with one beer. Also a couple of restaurants and grocery/gift shop about a 2 / 5 minute walk from hotel. Very convenient. Only a couple slight negatives: 1) bathroom lighting could be brighter, 2) breakfast is just “OK.” Coffee, juice, rice/beans, potatoes, ham or sausage, pancakes and fruit. Just not much flavor. However, good enough protein to start the day’s activities. Otherwise, a great stay. Highly recommend if seeking great views of volcano in a quiet setting and comfortable rooms without all the commotion of a larger hotel/resort setting.

Breakfast food needs more flavoring

The property was beautiful, and the birds sang all day! The view was amazing even though it rained for most of our trip. We got to see 85% of Arenal. Very good breakfast and nice staff. We also enjoyed the trail, although we didn't see any animals but birds.

The room was basic, and could have used a few hooks/stands to hang clothes, towels, bags, and personal items... Our AC didn't work on arrival and was fixed in timely fashion by maintenance resetting the circuit breakers.

The view from the room was superb and truly wonderful to wake up to each morning (opening up the curtains - just wow, breathtaking!). Lovely brekky. They even accommodated us when we had an early start for a tour by letting us have breakfast 15 mins early. Also shoutout to the special David on reception, he was so warm and kind and knowledgable, it really helped us as new arrivals to the country. David thank you!
