We changed room after the first night as we were disturbed by loud music coming from the restaurant area below late at night and very early in the morning. The staff apologised and moved us immediately. We were upgraded to a luxurious, very clean, comfortable and quiet room which was great! We overlooked the stunning pool. The food at Arenal Rabfer restaurant was always excellent, generous and delicious breakfasts were included in the price. Lunch and evening meals were the best we had in La Fortuna, which is probably why people came to eat there from all over the town.

Don't stay in a room above the restaurant!

Great location to walk into the centre of La Fortuna in a couple of minutes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious with small balconies or terraces. There was a nice pool with loungers and a visiting iguana! You could see lots of birds from both the pool and the restaurant areas, and the food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was good. There was also an upstairs reading room with power points.

The breakfast was good but you had to choose what you wanted the night before and after 3 days we were a little frustrated by the same 5 options (although we understood it maybe helped reduce food waste!).

We really loved this location. The room was simple but had everything we needed and was spotless, breakfast was included, and the pool offered the perfect refreshment after a day of hiking in the area

The only thing we missed was a clothesline to hang up towels and swimsuits after using the pool. Breakfast is served at the attached restaurant, which is not part of the hotel. Unfortunately, there’s little flexibility – they offer fixed menu sets that can’t be combined, and they were quite inflexible about any changes, so our two vegan family members were not so happy

Very nice, modern accommodations surrounding a beautiful garden and swimming pool. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the A/C and wifi worked well. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Good free breakfast is provided in the adjacent restaurant. There are only a few parking spaces on the property, but street parking doesn't seem to be a problem. Located 2 short blocks from the main square of La Fortuna, with lots of restaurants within walking distance.

The restaurant wifi didn't work, though you can get a weak connection from the hotel wifi. Otherwise, no problems.

The staff was extremely kind (they helped me with the organisation of a good part of my time in La Fortuna, and they were always very polite / nice), the hotel is well located and it’s easy to walk to most places around. The room had a good size and was clean. The breakfast is also good and the restaurant staff also very kind.

Bed blankets are aging a bit, the room can be very humid and it’s very hard to dry clothes during this season. The shower was a bit inconsistent with the hot water but it was manageable.

It is located in the center of La Fortuna which is very convenient. The breakfast is amazing! We especially love the Muesli. The staff are extremely nice and try their best to help you. The reception lady even offered to do our laundry sind all laundry services were closed and we needed to wash our clothes urgently. They have air conditioning and hot water. The hotel has everything you need. I would definitely come back to this place if I’m in La Fortuna!

I loved this cute little hotel. Super close to the centre of La Fortuna and easy walking distance to everything, but also the room was very quiet. The pool is lovely although doesn't have much shade in the middle of the day. The hotel is trying out fridges in the rooms and I very much appreciated this! Having a kettle would make it perfect.. I bought my own down the street for morning tea 😅 The staff are lovely and helpful and the breakfast at the cafe next door is delicious! I had a few meals here and all were nom nom nom.

It was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy. The hotel worked with us for some special requests we had like making up an extra sofa bed and late night arrival. They even noticed our breakfast took awhile to get one morning and later asked us if we wanted to order ahead of time for the next morning without us even saying anything about it. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The setting was beautiful. The kids loved the pool. The hot water in shower was great. It was very quiet day and night. I am a light sleeper and I didn’t need earplugs. The breakfast has amazingly delicious menu options and has a partial view of the volcano . We also ate there for other meals some days because it was so good. It is walking distance to many other restaurants, ATM, park, shops. Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere in town.

Close to restaurants, stores; safe walking around at night; front desk is very helpful & friendly- asked for breakfast to be packed on 2 mornings since we had early outings or departure and the muesli breakfast was packed and ready to go in the employee refrigerator; breakfast was good especially the avocado toast; overall, the room had no frills, but comfortable. I was able to borrow towels for my waterfall & hot springs tour.

No tissues to blow nose so used toilet paper; toilet clogged on 2 days; bed a little uncomfortable but was tired enough from activities to sleep well.
