Nice place with everything you need, all facilities is good and work nice. Just a lots of mosquitoes outside and too close to road; so it was a little noisy

Very nice place. We spent a good time here. It is in a good location in La Fortuna. If you have a car, everything is really close. We loved the local animals - cat, dogs and the duck. Our big friends and loves, they came to us every day 😃 Cottage was well equiped, we had a kitchen so there was no problem to prepare a meal. Thank you

When it rains it can be really noisy because of the roof made from metal plate. Shower could be little bit warmer. Also be ready to encounter some insects and bugs - but hey, you are in Costa Rica so we could make it without worries. Also the bedroom was a bit stinky. It smelled like cat piss. But not very intensive.

The cabins are super cute and comfortable. The staff is very welcoming, and even put coffee in the cabin ready for the morning. The kitchen is well equipped, there is an air condition and hot water in the shower. Mornings with coffee and a book on the porch were magical. The rain that I see a lot of people complaining about wasn’t really a problem. I actually found it very soothing, and it kind of evened out all the other noice. The first night I was a little bit skitterish, but it seemed pretty safe here.

It’s not as calm and quiet as I thought it would be, since it is very close to the road with many passing cars. But I got used to it pretty quick. If you don’t have a car, you will be dependent on Uber. I usually managed to get a car within 5 minutes, but it could take up to 20. I tried walking as it wasn’t that far into town (40 mins) but the roads felt a little unsafe with many fast cars, especially after dark.

We really enjoyed our 3 day stay in Cabanas del Lago. Very close to La Fortuna downtown, but also super close to nature. The cabin was right next to a beautiful pond with tropical plants. The big windows and the terrace allowed us to feel like we are in the middle of the jungle. But the best part was Marco, our super friendly and helpful host, who made us feel welcome in Costa Rica. Thank you again for everything!

It was perfect

The beds were comfortable and the vibe of the cabanas around the pond was unique.

The cabana had a metal roof with no other ceiling structure. At night, pods of some sort fell from the trees and hit the roof, creating a loud bang. As with all roofs, there was some venting at the peak. But because there was nothing between the roof and the living space, some debris and even a worm ended up on one of the beds (fortunately during the day while we were out and not while in bed).

Such a cute little cabin with lovely big windows to take in the forest. Loved sitting eating breakfast on the verandah and getting visits from the owner's friendly dog and cat! Good wifi, Netflix, etc. Attentive host, good communication and recommendations.

These electric showers take a bit of getting used to - not much water pressure and not really hot. And it rained heavily overnight which was very loud on the roof - bring earplugs in case of that.

The host is extra nice and made us feel welcome. The room is spacious and sparkling clean and the AC is really nice. Kitchen well equipped. We cook during our stay. The patio with pond directly in front is super nice especially with the many fish and ducks who comes to say hello. We love the place and would stay there again.

It a bit close to the road so you hear cars a bit but traffic is very low at night. Nature surrounding and sounds of frogs at night cover the bit of noise your could hear from road 😃. Overall, really great place!

The cabin was great, big with comfortable beds and a good kitchen area. In the evening, you could relax in the small terrace. The staff was very nice. The location is a big plus, very near a lot of interesting places.

Maybe the sound of the water that was always flowing outside and that the cabin was just next to a main road, so you hear everything, there is no soundproofing. Bring earplugs, that helps and you can have a wonderful sleep.

Having a property on the water was amazing and beautiful. The patio was the perfect place to wake up and sip coffee or wind down with a glass of wine and hang out. We loved listening to all the creatures and watching the fish in the pond. The room was very spacious and included different seating options, which is always appreciated.

No breakfast options included but a well equipped kitchen was provided.

Beautiful location by a small pond . We stayed in a tree house . It was private and perfect for one night stay after an active day. Good wifi , close to La Fortuna town and all attractions.

The access to the tree house with bigger bags was bit more difficult but if we traveled lighter it would have been totally fine !
