The breakfast was very good, you could choose between 2 kinds of breakfast, an you got served a large amount of food. , The location was very nice, room had a great view on arenal vulcano and had a nice garden, also nice was the jacuzzi in the room and wine glasses available in the room. The girl at the reception was very friendly and helpfull.

The airconditioning was leaking in the bungalow and the toilet stopped flushing, but after we reported it to the reception, it got fixed quickly and everything worked fine afterwards. The biggest turnoff on our stay was when we had dinner at the hotels restaurant in the evening, the cook was singing very loud with loud music, kind of a rock style, like linkin park, which was quite disturbing if you wanted to have a cozy dinner. He acted a bit crazy, like a teenager. Which was not so professional. Too bad cause the setting was nice, and the food was good.

Room was exactly as pictured. Clear, full view of Arenal volcano. Hot tub in excellent working condition with hot running water. Other reviews mentioned a smell from the tub, which we did not experience. The tub did fill slowly, about 20 minutes, but it is quite a large tub so we didn't mind. Saw a macaw every day outside our room. Close to downtown (8 mins by car) without being right in the hustle and bustle. Quiet, hardly ran into other guests.

Was given the wrong code to the room initially, but that was resolved very quickly.

The room was very comfortable and the spa bath was a great addition. The view from the terrace was incredible and the addition of a day bed was great. The grounds around are well kept and we saw lots of birds and wildlife. It was only a few minutes from La Fortuna, but in a lovely quiet location

The shower was very difficult, it was either too hot (dangerously so) or freezing.

Great volcano view, near town, good service, road in good condition, food was ok.

I saw a cochorach and other bugs inside the room (ants, gecko)

Really nice place. I was concerned it was too far away from the town, but it is really 2km down a couple of backroads and then less than 1km down the main road to town. The property is beautiful and the rooms were as advertised. They seem to each face the volcano with a great view on the patio. The wifi was more or less pretty good. I did some work and took a couple of zoom calls. Only on 1 afternoon was it suspect, otherwise I was getting 8 mpbs or more download speed. The room had AC which worked great and a rainfall shower with hot water which was nice.

I was hopeful for more fauna, but that's unreasonable. The landscaping was beautiful and the birding on the property was quite good. This is a nice place.

Cleanliness and staff assistance

The shower has a problem regulating the temperature between cold and hot water. It was impossible to find a balance for a comfortable temperature. It was too cold or to hot but never warm water.

It was very clean and neat. It was near all activities in La fortuna such as La Parada Adventure centre and La Caribeña restaurant & La fortuna restaurant which were the best! :)

The property was close enough to town to walk if you are up to it. There were a few dogs on the road but we did not encounter any mean ones. The grounds are a tropical plant and bird paradise. Nice little walking trail on the property. The patio had very cute seating and a little outdoor couch/bed. The volcano view is beautiful if not raining or cloudy. We could not see it from our room unfortunately due to weather. The air conditioning worked great. The hot tub in the room was amazing. Nice touch of a little tray of jasmine soap/bubbles for it. Rain head shower and nice little coffee and fridge area.

The only thing I would say that wasn’t terrible but the beds were pretty hard and there was no blanket or comforter on the bed only a sheet. Also the reception desk attendant seemed a little flustered or maybe just not real friendly or attentive. Just didn’t seem as accommodating as the other three hotels we stayed at.
