Our plane was delayed and we arrived at 1am. Despite that, the host arranged to have someone open the gate and show us our room. In the morning, the breakfast was made to our specifications, and the host even confirmed our ride with Interbus by calling them directly. He then drove us to the pick up location for no extra charge.

If you're sensitive to noise, planes can occasionally be heard flying over the property (once per hour was the most frequent it got to). The plus side to that is that it's very near the airport ($10 USD taxi ride) at a fraction of the price of other hotels nearby, where you'll also hear airplanes.

This BNB is situated in a gated community a 5 minute drive from the airport. It was the perfect location to rest before our early morning flight, the room was clean and the staff were exceptional. On our way to the airport our car got a flat tire and the owner offered to use his air compressor to inflate our tire so we could get it to a repair shop. Overall we felt very safe and taken care of and would recommend this location to anyone looking for close accommodations to the airport :)

As the property is right by the airport, you can hear the planes taking off, however we wore earplugs and the noise was fine to sleep for one night.

George was an exceptional host. He gave me a little tour of the grounds and pointed out the trees he has growing there along with the different plants. He made suggestions for our evening meal. We chose the Italian restaurant at Plaza Real. It was delicious. We only stayed one night before flying out but we would definitely chose it next time when arriving or leaving SJO.

Not a thing. They even supplied a to go cup for my morning tea before we left for the airport.

We stayed here after a flight into Costa Rica that arrived in the evening. It is very easy to get to from the airport, however we would recommend that Google streetview is used to see where the entrance is, as its not that obvious from the road. The host was very welcoming. The gardens are lovely and we spent a couple of hours watching the many birds there. A brilliant way to start our holiday.

The owner was really nice. He greeted me was helpful getting me a cab at 5:30am and even came out to make sure it showed up. I really appreciated the extra effort. The room was nice and had a little kitchen area with everything you need for short stay. Bathroom great with plenty of water pressure.

The only negative was the beds. They were hard on a slab of wood and very thin mattresses. Even a little foam would help. Overall though it was ok and I slept pretty good. Also no way to make coffee as I left at 5:30am before breakfast. So something in the room would have been nice. I would stay here again as everything clean and nice having a big room and space detached from anyone else.

the room was large clean and modern the bed was firm the sheets and towels a bit stiff but all in all I was very happy. the gardens are incredibly beautiful. the staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fine. the planes fly overhead very loudly. on approach I wondered where the taxi was going but it’s a little oasis. I am travelling alone and I felt safe.

The room was big, with two double beds and a bathroom, but also an extra room with kitchen facilities and table with chairs. The breakfast was good, set in a garden. It can be very noisy, because the planes sometimes seem to fly directly over your head, but the fact that this property is so close to the airport is probably why you book it!

A very beautiful island in a not-so-romantic part of San José. We really appreciated the proximity to the airport and as birdwatchers, we particularly enjoyed the impressive garden with its high biodiversity. Come to San José and make the mot-mot the first bird you see! The staff is super nice and helpful.

The proximity to the airport also comes with according noise levels of starting and landing planes. But well, you can't have one without the other... .

The room and amenities were nice. a living space, two beds, and a nice bathroom. What made the property great was the staff. The man working there (I never caught his name), went out of his way to help me. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I ended up traveling to this hotel by myself, and I don’t speak much Spanish, but he made sure I felt comfortable there and got a taxi ride to the airport at 04:30 in the morning and he waited outside with me. very grateful for that!

The property was a little difficult to find, but if you call the front desk they help you.

Very clean accommodation with a nice interior design.

Nothing about the room you could complain about. Nevertheless the neighbors had a dog (very cute though) which kept barking all night directly in front of our window. We know that it is not the fault of the owner, nevertheless it was not possible to close the window. Really cost us our sleep, we would not stay in this room again regardless of the nice and well cleaned room.
