This hotel is 15 minutes from the airport, which was the reason for choosing it on our way in and out of Costa Rica. The hotel grounds are very nice and it has a small pool that was sufficient for the kids. The restaurant food is very good, especially the breakfast, even though the ordering always seemed a bit chaotic. The rooms are modest but clean, and the service was good.

One of the main reasons for staying in this hotel was the free airport shuttle. Unfortunately on our way to the airport the shuttle did not show up and we ended up having to get pay for Ubers.

We stayed at this hotel for one night at the beginning and end of our trip to Costa Rica, and it was a great choice. Conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from Juan Santamaría International Airport, the hotel offers a reliable and complimentary airport shuttle service. There's also a supermarket right across the street - perfect for grabbing snacks or essentials before heading out for the day. The breakfast selection was great, with options ranging from traditional Costa Rican gallo pinto to continental choices and fresh fruit daily. The on-site Italian restaurant was also really good with a pleasant ambience. Our room was clean, air-conditioned, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and always happy to help. Overall, a very pleasant and convenient stay that we’d happily recommend!

No issues to mention

We booked a night here before our flight that was in the evening the following day so had plenty of time to take in the whole hotel and local area. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were super friendly and it made the atmosphere at the hotel very enjoyable. The pool area was kept neat and clean and there are plenty of places to relax. Our room was nice and clean, the shower was excellent and bed comfortable. The breakfast was really tasty and overall it's really good value for money, we were super happy that we could get a shuttle to the airport. We would stay here again.

There was some noise from the neighbourhood surroundings but this is to be expected at a hotel like this which will have guests coming and going from the airport.

Breakfast was included and was outstanding. A plate of fresh fruit, juice, coffee or tea and a choice of omlette, pancakes or traditional breakfast served in a lovely outdoor setting. The pool setting was also nice. The pool was good. Staff were friendly.

The whole place was a little bit run down, and doors were loud at night (not great soundproofing) but very reasonable for the price. We were told to WhatsApp the hotel for the free airport shuttle on arrival, but they didn't ever get back to us, so we ended up taking a taxi, then had to wait to check in because the front desk staff had gone to the airport for another guest. It was late (past midnight). Our parents arrived earlier in the evening and had no problems with getting the shuttle.

We booked this hotel because it was near the airport and, when we were there, we found out that they had free shuttle services to the airport which we found fantastic. We used the service and it really made our life easier as I had to be at the airport at 5 am; the driver was very friendly and punctual, and they even gave me breakfast to take as I could not have breakfast at the hotel.

When we gave our rented car back we were told that one of the hotel's van would pick us up at the car rental's office, however, there was a problem and we had to wait for an hour at the sun and on a remote lonely place while we received unclear messages stating that a taxi would arrive at some point (and never arrived). In the end, as time went by and the messages were unclear, we decided to catch a taxi that gladly went by and went to the hotel, but we spent the afternoon at the car rental office instead of enjoying the pool or doing something more relaxing.

Clean and comfortable :) The included breakfast was delicious and I really appreciated the airport shuttle. They helped me arrange activities while here and staff was extremely kind and helpful! I would definitely stay here again.

My friend and I arrived on 2 different flights… I had already checked in and arranged for the shuttle to pick her up later. When she arrived and messaged them as we were instructed to do, they did not respond. I had to go into reception and ask them to go get her… they did, but she was waiting at the airport for a long time after an exhausting day of travel. I think was a miscommunication between the day and night staff.

Straight forward transfer to the airport at 4am (the minibus leaves every hour throughout the day). The hotel restaurant food was tasty and had good prices. There's a very convenient large supermarket across the road.

The room decor isnt very cosy (plain and dark) and the pool was small and cold. Only stay here for before or after a flight- there's nothing to do in the area. Unfortunately couldn't have the included breakfast as our flight was very early. Would have been great to have a simple packed breakfast as an alternative airport option.

This was our third stay. We love the restaurant connected to the hotel and the 24 hour airport shuttle service is reliable and friendly. The food and atmosphere t the restaurant is so much better than at chain hotels. This time we stayed in one of the superior rooms and it was definitely worth the extra money. A down side is the barking dogs in the neighborhood. This is the second time that has been an issue. The hotel itself is quiet and peaceful but the dogs bark right through the night. Not uncommon for Costa Rica but annoying regardless.

Location from the airport was exceptional (20 mins. in San Jose traffic) and hotel was directly across from a Super Market. Staff was exceptional. The mattresses in the rooms were new & perfect, no lumps. The restaurant that is part of the La Riviera was exceptional, all the food was delicious and the free excellent breakfast was just icing on the cake. The hotel has a large hydroponic garden where they harvest all the lettuces from. Salads are wonderful. Our family would definitely stay again.

Sometimes there were barking dogs nearby.

Awesome hotel near the airport in SJO. The check in lady at the reception was great very nice and made us sandwiches for breakfast to take with us on a very early flight out at 600am. Very accomodating staff! The shuttle driver was very sociable, and nice despite it being 500AM. We had a yummy dinner at the hotel restaurant! Across the street from the hotel is a big new supermarket we bought coffee and Costa Rican chocolates cheaper than the airport Duty Free!! Will stay here again!
