This hotel exceeded my expectations. I thought I’d get a convenient nights sleep before traveling out of SJO. Instead I got a touch of the kind and happy spirit of Costa Rica. The dinner at their little Italian restaurant was fantastic (beef lasagna & fresh strawberry juice). The sound of the fountain by the pool was a perfect way to create a calm atmosphere, which got interrupted by planes every 20 minutes, but the calming noise bought it back. And the staff is so friendly.

Be prepared for the noise of planes. It’s only 3 minutes from the airport, so it wasn’t a surprise. Ear plugs did the trick for me.

I stayed at this hotel the night I arrived in Costa Rica and again when I left Costa Rica. The hotel was great, but I learned on the first stay to make sure I did not get a room on the highway side on the way back. It was really noisy! They did accommodate me on my trip back with a room on the other side and I had no problems. Restaurant and breakfast waiter were wonderful. No pickup from the airport but there are taxis everywhere and it's about a 5-minute trip. They had a shuttle for the trip back to the airport every hour. Probably the best price hotel in the area. Overall good experience. Will use again.

I wish the restaurant was open a little later but I do not know if it is cost effective for the hotel. Maybe have a snack area for late arrivals?

It's very close to the airport, and the shuttle service is super useful. If it's not particularly busy I think they can help you get it at a custom time rather than just on the hour as advertised. Wifi is good too. Italian restaurant is fine, nothing special but good to have. Overall it was perfect for what we wanted - a quick stay before an early flight the following day.

The windows are quite thin given how close you are to the airport; they're not very thick so it can be a bit noisy (earplugs solves everything) and they rattled a lot when a plane would fly by. AC was a bit noisy and dripped everywhere during the night.

Both stylish and spotless. The staff is obsessive about cleanliness. One housekeeper was sweeping up a few leaves that had fallen overnight, another pulled the couch away from the wall so she could damp mop behind the couch.

On our second visit, we asked for a room overlooking the pool. As a result, the highway traffic noise was considerably less. We love everything about this place. The staff is extremely helpful, kind and friendly. We also fell in love with the family restaurant next door to Hotel Mango. The food was delicious!!!

The hotel was extremely clean, the staff friendly, I didn't try the restaurant - I left too early for breakfast and went out as there are many places close by for dinner. The free airport transfer was also handy It is probably one of the closest hotels to the airport, so expect to hear the larger planes taking off overhead, fortunately they don't fly all the time but if you're a light sleeper, you will likely be woken by the 120am flight, it is also next to the road so you'll hear the large trucks rattling by

We had flown into San Jose and had an early flight the next morning and also when we departed so Hotel Mango was a great choice for us. It is under 5 minutes to the airport. The hotel is close but behind walls that block out the traffic noise. All of the staff were wonderful and particularly, Sylvia and Rafaela, Both breakfast and dinner were great. Highly recommend if you wish to avoid the congested traffic of San Jose when you are trying to make your flight.

I stayed here before. Beautiful and homey, a few minutes to the airport SJO, Costa Rica. Very friendly staffs/Kevin was so knowledgeable and helpful, kind, friendly. Speaks fluent English. Location is great, clean room, poolside restaurant with Italian menu and pizzas. Love the pretty hotel dog, came to greet. The airport shuttle is awesome. You will get an email after reservation is made. Every corner of the property is so beautiful and cozy. The room is clean. Best staying before and after flights. Walking distance to Danny's restaurant. Hotel offers Breakfast menus option with fruits and drinks. Very good for me. It is what I saw on photos here.

The property is very nice once you get in the gate. Beds were comfortable, room is very clean, nice pool and restaurant. Had to leave at 3 am for the airport and they provided a shuttle, coffee was already available and an assortment of snacks to choose. Only a few minutes away from the airport.

Room did not have any where to set anything. The only surface was one small bed table. Suitcases, backpacks, purses, everything had to be on the floor. The entrance is hard to find because of the closed gate off a busy street and of course the noise as it’s close to the airport so you need earplugs.

The staff is very nice. Having a restaurant within the premises was also great. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. The supplied cab ride to the airport is an exceptional treat.

There is nothing that can be done, but planes flying overhead did wake me up in the night. Some planes take off very close to the hotel. One is indeed very close to the airport here. No need to worry about any traffic getting to the airport!

This was a perfect place to stay for a night in San Jose if you need accommodation near the airport. We were pleasantly surprised that a hotel so close to the airport could be so peaceful and quiet. We arrived late, bought a beer from the front desk, and enjoyed the pool chairs and the nice gardens. Breakfast in the morning was great - served by the pool. A perfect way to start the day before we drove out of town!

The only reason I am not giving this place 10/10 is because there is no value in the location other than being close to the airport. There is nothing around that is interesting. But if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep near the airport, it is PERFECT.
