First, the premises are very attractive, located on the top of a bluff next to the road. My room was very nice, very expansive with pretty much a full kitchen, a double bed, a couch which I guess converts to a bed, and a private bathroom. My bedroom looked out onto the pool. The room was very clean. What was also nice is that there was a pulperia, a small little market just a few blocks away. Mauricio was always very helpful. whenever I needed any help, he got right to it.

Well, I got into a dispute with a taxi driver on the day of my departure, which was unfortunate. This was partially due to a misunderstanding between Mauricio and myself. The taxi driver and I did have a little trouble finding the place, but I think that was our fault as there were two signs at the entrance.

The deluxe room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a kitchenette with ample cookware, utensils, and complimentary coffee. The bathroom window's screen allowed for ventilation while keeping insects out, enhancing comfort. The staff's understanding and accommodation of my need to cancel one room due to a health emergency, providing a full refund, demonstrated excellent customer service. The presence of friendly resident pets added to the pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. I felt very safe and secure on the property and the surrounding neighborhood.

Some light switches were unintuitive, which could be improved with clearer labeling or instructions. The shower heater lacked a visible ground wire, which may raise safety concerns.

The check-in experience was warm and friendly and there was good communication via WhatApp prior to checkin. The location is close to the airport and you can even take a bus to the airport with only a 100m walk to the bus stop. The room had useful amenities, including a refrigerator, rice cooker, toaster, and coffee maker, making it practical for longer stays. The garden view was a highlight, with beautiful details to explore, and the staff kindly offered extra blankets, which was appreciated given the occasional chilly nights. I appreciated the screens on the windows to keep out mosquitoes. The pool with a fountain was beautiful and had comfortable lounge chairs although the water was too cold to fully be able to enjoy it except on the warmest of days.

Some aspects of the facilities were concerning, such as the missing shower heater's grounding wire and low-positioned showerhead and mirrors, which were uncomfortable for taller guests. The cracked window glass and missing pane of the jalousie window allowed cold air to enter, posing an issue on rare cold days. Vacuuming and detailed cleaning of chipped paint and debris around the floor edge enhance the overall appearance.

Great value and location! I was kinda suspicious of this place at first because of the previous reviews but me and my friend actually enjoyed it. The staff were really nice and were really responsive on WhatsApp. We arrived kinda late at night and the gate was closed but was opened as soon as I messaged them. The pool was also nice and the greenery around was just very relaxing.

Just a few minor things like the slight inclination of the floor. I was still able to sleep well. I just recommend providing a slightly thicker blanket for cold nights.

We do like everything! The green areas were amazing and so much space, the pool with perfect size we also were able to enjoy a moment before leaving! And the Staff specially Ramón, he is so nice and great host, gave us all info about it and we loved our stay the doggies around too! 😇

Nothing to say! Actually we were given more than we expected! Excellent attitude and attention to clients, we loved our stay in Villa Pacande, was amazing!

Staff was very helpful and kind. Room was typical for the area and price range. Very clean, had everything you need.

My only complaint is that the bathroom light was very dim making the bathroom too dark for doing make-up or hair. My other comment is a warning, the gate is a bit narrow so if you bring a car driver confidence is halpful, however the staff is so helpful the will certainly spot for you, if needed.

I really enjoyed the pool even though it's small but I was by myself so there wasn't a whole lot of activity there. I had a room with a small refrigerator and coffee maker and being the coffee enthusiast that I am I was grateful for that. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

This time I didn't encounter the motorcycle races that I had before and the dogs are barking at night it was quiet and I slept well.

This is a proper old fashioned backpackers place. Brilliant value for money. The slightly more expensive rooms are better value. They have good views over countryside. Lovely breakfast. Close to simple Tienda. Staff excellent and friendly. Marc the owner can advice on tours and transfers. 10 minutes on the local bus into town. Fantastic hidden gem.

One member of staff grumpy. Keep him away from the customers. He's letting you down. You're a little out of town so having a small space available for guests to cook a little pasta or heat food would really help.

The gentleman that checked us in Mauricio was very personable and helpful. Also the cleaning lady was very pleasant. The fresh fruit , breakfast was lovely. The coffee amazing. There is a fruit market and general store in walking distance . The property is lush with flowers and the room comfortable with a balcony overlooking the sunset. Enjoyed the pool, was clean and cool but small.

The owner wasn’t as welcoming when trying to talk to him which I found odd. The photos are a little deceiving to the size of Pool it is more of a hot tub size.

Friendly,outgoing staff.Lovely premises immersed in the mountains.Rainforest surroundings.Peaceful, quiet, safe. Lots of birds, squirrels,etc. Relaxing atmosphere. Small pool to cool off and stretch. Lovely, sweet pets on the property.

Pool needs to be cleaned daily and hopefully dogs don't poop around it. Towels should be provided just for this area. Couple smoking in the entrance tables and next day ,next to the pool. Would like more variety for breakfast. Perhaps choice of eggs to accompany toast. More soap , towels, toilet paper and definitely shampoo.
