The uniqueness of this hotel is what made this standout. The staff were extremely welcoming and the room was amazing as were the grounds. The design and architecture is great. We walked the grounds and waterfalls and spent some time in the evening and the next morning in the sunset pool. Others have said about lack of other entertainment but with the pool, trails, views and waterfalls I’m not sure what else is needed. Perfect end to our holiday with easy access to the airport the following morning.

The hotel was quite expensive and you are paying for the uniqueness which like others have said is starting to look tired. We had and evening meal which was acceptable but if a choice was available I’d eat elsewhere

Best place for us in Costa Rica. What a magnificent oasis just 30 minutes from the airport. Great views with San Jose lights at night, incredible villas for the price, the trail around the property rewards you with waterfalls (see pic). Our family of four booked a Star Villa and a Prima Villa with Queen beds. Both weee great, especially the Star Villa which had an expansive living room and balcony area with a stunning view

The fact that we only stayed one night. We could have added a night and made it a base for Poas volcano, La Paz waterfall and Hacienda Alsacia Starbucks Coffee Farm (don’t miss).

The location, close to the airport and town but far enough to be able to enjoy a relaxing stay with great views. The room was very spacious with a nice large terrace. Complimentary drinks and snacks in the mini bar was a nice surprise. beautiful gardens sadly wasn't able to make the most of the trails and pools as the weather was poor.

Unfortunately our stay was dampened by the poor weather (didn't stop raining for 3 days) meaning that we were not able to make the most of the facilities on offer. The rooms could do with bedside tables on either side of the bed.

Stylish, spacious bedroom with super king bed, fridge and a large patio area with sun beds and table and chair overlooking gardens and San Jose in the distance. We loved the sunset pool too. Also the trails in the hotel grounds which would have been fantastic but were mainly closed for us due to waterlogged ground following weeks of heavy rain.

The tiling in the bathroom is looking tired and need maintenance and a good clean. No air conditioning in the bedroom. If there was a mosquito screen on the door then we could have left the door open to keep the temperature down.

Excellent food and good value for money. Lovely staff. Set in beautiful area. Forest walks and nature spoiled by noise from planes flying across facility from very early morning around 3-4 per hour.

No communal activity area,. It is restaurant or nothing in main building. Facility quite tired looking. Pools closed or require a good deal of maintenance, missing tiles everywhere. Lots of noise - directly under flight path. We didn’t mind but be aware, no bar area, no televisions apart for small shared TV room beside restaurant.

The room was spacious and clean. The views were distant city were sweeping. The property was near the airport, but a world away from the traffic and crowding. The staff were friendly and kind. The shampoo and conditioner had a lovely smell.

It is time for some updating. The robe and towels were worn. The on-site vegetable garden was not being maintained. The golf cart (to rooms) was broken. The hot tub was turned off well before the pool closed. There was a barking dog; the sound carried to the room.

The resort overall is excellent - the room was very good and comfortable, the staff was very helpful and professional in any single interaction (from check in throughout to check out, reall well done to them!) - the location is fantastic and the trail around the resort is really fantastic! We had dinner there and the food was good - the staff was always great (both at dinner as well as at breakfast)

I think the only thing that could be improved is the breakfast - the quality was good indeed, but we thought there could have been more choice / variety (considering the level of the accommodation)

The breakfast was freshly cooked Costa Rican style every morning . There were also lots of other buffet choices and lovely fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juices .The staff at breakfast could not have been nicer .Lovely service from all .

Everything was fabulous . It’s near to the airport so we used it for two nights before taking another flight . It was perfect as the spa is amazing . There are wonderful walks within the hotel grounds . The infinity pool is especially gorgeous with an amazing view and the restaurant in the evening was superb !!! There was no need to leave the hotel on a short stay and it was so peaceful. Lovely room with fridge and coffee maker . Great shower too .

This was a beautiful resort. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. There are 17km of trails here. We went for a 2 hour hike and managed to see 3 of their waterfalls. The room we were in had no AC, but overnight was deliciously cool in the room. The daytime was a little warm in there though. The grounds are stunning. They have a greenhouse , goats, chickens. Just amazing.

I was hesitant to book this place as from all the colours in the photos I thought it might be a little 'hippy'. However, my concerns were set aside as soon as we arrived to a very friendly welcome from Luis. The room was huge, with an amazing view. We had the pool/jacuzzi to ourselves most of the time and my daughter and I enjoyed a full 90 minutes in the spa (which also has a wonderful view). The therapists were very sweet with my 7 year old daughter. In fact all the staff from the reception to the restaurant were wonderful. We only stayed for one night but next time we'll come for longer. As for all the colours, well, in context with the architecture and gardens - it all makes sense : )
