The staff is extremely friendly. They never seemed bothered when we needed something. The restaurant there was fantastic. It's a hidden Gem for sure. Best Pizza I think I've ever had. The price was fair and my wife loved the knocchi in meat sauce.

I paid a pet deposit which I didn't mind. But I wasnt aware my tiny dog had a small accident on the bed and they changed me an additional fee $50! I thought that's why I pay a pet deposit. I wasn't upset about it. It is what it is. But I didn't think that was fair.

Overall, we enjoyed the stay. We had the family suite for 3 nights with kitchen. A very big comfortable bed, air conditioning and smart TV worked well, the pool and price were very good. On request we received a proper cutting knife, a few plates and 2 bowls. So I wouldn't call it a family suite. The wifi was very good. The pool is very large but a bit chilly.

However, if you call yourself a family suite, then you also expect a certain basic equipment of the kitchen. We had a total of 1 shallow and 1 deep plate, no bowls and only 1 bread slicer knife, no oil, no spices and no tea towel and hand towel in the bathroom. All in all, the hotel is getting on in years, there were (despite 50 EUR deposit) some things in the room were broken, tables scratched, ceiling plaster damaged, lamps defective and drawers broken. Happy to invest something here. For about 40 beds there is only a single lounger by the pool and a few white chairs. the staff could speak English better, it's the capital after all.

I had a very nice stay at Luisiana Hotel. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The highlight of my stay was the reception team, especially Jeffrey, he helped me out when I was looking for adventure activities to do in Costa Rica. He not only displayed a map full of options and devoted a great time to explaining each of them taking into consideration my taste but also made plenty of calls until he found availability for the ones I'd selected. Thanks to him, my stay in Costa Rica was unforgettable and I'll most definitely come back. He really went above and beyond my expectations.

Always like this property. Very clean, basic accommodations, but clean. Great value for the price based on location and offerings.

This particular time we were put under construction (they were fixing the roof). Very noisy this time. That being said, we did not let the staff know. If we did I am confident they would have moved us.

excellent mattress, great to have a mini bar fridge, everything was clean

the toilet was very slow to flush and to refill so there was a few minutes of refilling noise after the flush. The black out curtains worked but not 100%. The bright lights from the patio still came in through the cracks.

Everything appeared to be clean. The beds, the deck chairs and large inside chair were comfortable. Bathroom remodeling appeared to be new. Staff was very polite and helpful, with new towels, trash removal, and more toilet paper as requested, and willing todo cleaning if we requested it (which we didn’t).

The kitchen could have been equipped with more dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils. Counter top was very old and outdated with tile grout stained and failing. Kitchen faucet needed to be replaced, and sink drained very slowly. The smaller bed in the room needed a top sheet and larger blanket to fully function as a second bed(we didn’t need to use it as one). Pool area needed some repairs on walkways.

Montserrat is Amazing! Always willing to help and with a big smile! She made our stay wonderful. The Breakfast was excellent and the cook was friendly and open to requests. I can only say good things about this place and will definitively come back!

Not asking for a security deposit

Great hotel for a stop over to the airport or a weekend visit to San Jose. We also love the Italian restaurant and stay there primarily for the pizza!

The hot water in various rooms does not instantly get hot. You have to let the water waste for 20 minutes before it is hot.

The room was nice and quiet. The bathroom was roomy and clean with good hot water. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast came with the room. The hotel was walking distance to the grocery and some good restaurants.

Didn't like the birds swimming in the pool leaving a dark mess in the water. I'm always surprised to have to leave a room deposit for the items in the cooler.

Nice resort with huge rooms, very clean and the most comfy bed we had in ages. Arrived late and tired, check in went smooth and fast. Breakfast available for USD 12. Pool looked nice and clean as far as we could see. Easy to reach from the airport (taxi between CAC 17'000 and 20'000) but still quiet.

Hardly furniture to place your staff, only three hooks in the bathroom.
