Location is in walking distance (.2 miles) from lots of nice shops and restaurants. It's clean. The parking is secure. The staff is friendly and professional. I saw that some reviewers said it looks "scary" or "dangerous." It's not. This is just what the real Costa Rica looks like.

It's a budget hotel. You will get what you pay for, but if you are looking for a cheap place to stay overnight before flying out, this is your spot. Just be aware that the airport is 25 minutes away in light traffic and an hour away in heavy traffic. It's not an easy, breezy trip, but nowhere in San Jose is that.

The location is great, there's a small shopping center down the street. The room was very spacious with a desk for working, an eating area, and an area to watch TV. The beds were comfortable and towels were soft. The showers have hot water, which i love! The bathroom had a blow dryer which was great because I forgot mine. The kitchen was well stocked with basic items. The back parking area felt secure with the gate that the staff control from inside.

I've stayed here before and forgot that the front parking area can be a bit difficult to get out of when it is rush hour traffic. You just have to wait for the right time to but in and make space for your car.

If you want to be close to Escazu and Santa Ana for hospital or dental care, but also want a more traditional CR hotel experience, this is a good option. 500 metres from shopping, but in a traditional neighborhood. Lovely staff and owners. Great Arapas breakfast offered. Rustic, traditional, but with gated secure parking in back. Staying safe, with kind, hardworking owners. Not luxury but full kitchen, clean, functional. Uber eats can get you most any food within 30 minutes...so very convenient stay.

Missing a fan in the room, but supplied as needed.

Excellent location near the airport. We had a suite which included a very adequate kitchenette complete with a full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and blender. The rooms were relatively large. There were also lots of restaurants in the area, and it was safe. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wiFi was fast and reliable. There was also a comfortable and quiet sitting area beyond the lobby.

A lower price would have been nice.

Second time staying here. For the cost it was excellent. Here for Dental work and it was perfect. Staff was excellent and was there to meet all my needs. Showers very spacious and good water pressure.

Not a big deal but some rooms could use new shower heads. Pressure was fine and did the trick just the spray was a bit uneven maybe just need to be cleaned!

Comfy, quiet and close to everything we needed.

The WiFi sometimes doesn't work well. If you want to use Netflix, you need to use your account. The sink in the kitchen is so small, if we use the plates that we have in the room, it gets stuck.. shame, because the kitchen is great and has all the things you need.

Great location, secure facilities including off-street parking, and very friendly staff. The bed was quite comfortable and I loved the treat of having a bathtub - a rarity in Costa Rica! Very positive experience; would stay again.

If you are a person who likes a lot of natural light, this is not the place for you - the windows are limited and in many units, only go into an internal hallway rather than outside. This did not bother me, and there was plenty of indoor lighting to meet my needs.

Apartotel Don Francisco is a great place to stay in Escazú. We have enjoyed every stay here. The staff are very attentive, the space is well-equipped for a longer-term stay, and it is in an excellent location. We also appreciate access to secure off-street parking.

Everything was great; nothing negative!

There is no breakfast offered. The location is excellent, the rooms are clean. There is hot water and, at least in our apartment, good ventilation, plus AC.

They advertise electric vehicle charge spot, but it isn’t actually available. Kinda false advertising. We’ve stayed here before, and were offered a jury-rigged plug in at a rate 3 times the electric company.

The location is excellent, the property is relatively quiet. The kitchen presence is quite nice and the apartments are a decent size. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Having an electric vehicle it is WONDERFUL that we are able to charge our vehicle, a big benefit.

There is off street parking which feels safe and secure, however it is difficult to access and exit as the gate does not always open. At the least, there should be a sign posted with the phone number for customers to call for asístanse instead of waiting at the gate for an eternity or giving up and returning to the front entrance of the aparthotel. There is hot water, but the shower is only a trickle, which makes the showering experience less than desirable.
