Everything about our 3 night stay at Casa 41 was delightful. The communication before our stay was proactive. The design aesthetic of the small, 5 room inn in the Escazu neighborhood just west of San Jose was exceptional with incredible attention to detail. Our room was large, with a comfortable king-size bed, sitting area, and big bathroom. The dinners and breakfasts at the inn were varied and delicious. And the staff was very accommodating and gracious. We look forward to a return visit.

This place is awesome! It is a boutique hotel with great service, clean beds, nice decor. The included breakfast is UNREAL! And we also had dinner there which was great. This is defiantly an alternative experience from a hotel, it is more of a house feel and very cozy with all the cleanliness and upscale expectations from a nice hotel.

At first you may find the place a little weird but once you settle in and understand what it is, it’s is extremely peaceful and a great place to stay.

Honestly loved the feeling that it gives you that you’re staying “at home”, but at the same time not having to worry about anything. The experience is also so nice thanks to the staff that makes your stay super personalized. Loved it!

The only think I did not like was that the contact numbers works only in business hours. After 5PM it’s impossible to get a hold of them via phone.

Family run and so friendly and safe. Loved the garden & inside outside vibe. The area is gorgeous and has great shops & restaurants. Breakfast is huge, but you can tailor it to your needs. Poor dad went from trying to feed me everything to 2 perfectly boiled eggs. A great base in San Jose and a very nice neighbourhood.

Cute property. Lots of interesting details around. Great surroundings. Very helpful staff. Breakfast was very tasty. We had a good rest at Casa 41 while traveling in Costa Rica.

BEAUTIFUL! I love the interior design, it had a bit of old a bit of new the perfect blend! between Eames with Jonathan Adler. Exquisite !

That my stay wasnt longer

- lovely oasis in the middle of the city - beautiful garden and quiet / peaceful - the food : breakfast probably the best I’ve had in all of Costa Rica ; diner very good and healthy - very comfortable bed and spacious room - individualised treatment , you feel at home can’t thank Eugenia, and the rest if the team for their welcome and help. I felt really looked after personally

- best to try and organise airport transfers bilaterally , as those organised through the hotel are double the price of a normal taxi

We had a great stay. The host was very nice and caring. Breakfast was amazing. Property is nicely located. Enjoying breakfast in the garden was beautiful.

Everybody at Casa 41 is welcoming and warm. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. It was breakfast that won us over. It was hearty and delicious and their garden is lovely!

We loved our stay at casa 41. It is a unique and beautiful little oasis in the middle of a chaotic city. Mangel treated us like family! I highly recommend this hotel, it is gorgeous and guaranteed to please!
