Beautiful property tucked into the hills of Escazu! The rooms are rustic and clean and quite spacious! We had two rooms both with kitchenettes, multiple comfortable beds and pillows and a relaxing outdoor terrace to enjoy the nature sounds and lovely weather. Each morning we were greeted at the breakfast area and offered coffee, orange juice, fruit, eggs, pinto and toast by the pool. I would stay here again and again! Amazing value in a tranquil yet convenient location!

It really wasn't a problem, so this is more of an FYI. We had a two story lofted room (which had AMAZING views) but the ceiling was a little low for us tall folks in the loft bedroom.

The property, decor, and rooms are awesome! The staff are so nice and very accommodating. I had to take a super early bus from tamarindo to San Jose and they had the room ready for me even tho I was early. The swimming pool is clean and has a nice area to hang out. The rooms are very spacious. Really awesome inter designing, the beds are comfortable, each room has their own terrace/balcony. Make reservation for your time in the hot tub.

I loved everything about this place. The neighbors were rockin their tunes allll day but cut it off at the right time.

Comfortable, clean, great breakfast, felt wonderful being in a jungle atmosphere. It was very easy to get taxis to and from the airport and there are fab local restaurants.

If you are not a fan of the wild then I am not sure this is the place for you. I saw a rat a couple of times. Nothing to do with cleanliness, just in a jungle / tropical setting, but I did keep my door closed and if you are not a fan, then this may not be for you.

Absolutely beautiful property in a stunning location, not too far away from the city centre. Very well cared for and such a relaxing and comfortable experience. The staff are an asset, ever so friendly and welcoming towards all queries. The breakfast lady was very welcoming and helpful.

The only thing I didn’t like was the building construction on the neighbouring plot made my balcony unpleasant with the amount of dust covering “everything” on a daily basis… Made a real mess of the beautiful shiny wooden floors. As well as the machinery noise until late at night.. Obviously not the fault of the property but it made it very unpleasant.

Very rustic hotel with lots of wood panelling,furniture and a definitely Spanish or Mexican Hacienda style just our kind of place to stay during our travels.It’s very comfortable and quiet with each room having its own terrace and table for early evening sunsets surrounded by tropical plants and trees.The breakfast provided by hotel is very good with plentiful amounts of coffee and can keep you going all day.The hotel is situated in one of suburbs outside the city centre but there are commercial shopping malls close by for groceries or pharmacies.The on site parking is excellent and very safe so you can leave your car overnight without worrying about vandalism.The swimming pool is small but well situated around the dining area but temperatures at 21c and cloudy was too cold for me to have a morning or evening swim.there is very good WiFi connections so no problems with internet.

We were staying in a no smoking room/area but were very surprised on our second night by smoke coming into our room and and throughout the area my wife went to investigate and found one of the employees had started a log fire with cardboard and whatever paper was available and fireplace was just outside our non smoking room.We could not breathe so she instructed him to put out immediately as she had a real breathing problem.The management afterwards sent another employee with a bucket of water to extinguish the fire and remove the logs which took a couple of hours.We are still suffering from after effects - coughing ! I suppose they felt we needed the fire on a chilly night but if all the smoke and fumes does not escape through the chimney ??!!

The staff were friendly and the rooms were well equipped with a good shower, a netflix enabled tv and comfy beds. The breakfast was good and whilst we didn't use the pool as we weren't there for long, it was a nice area.

Whilst this didn't bother us, it was a hilly walk to most of the restaurants so this would be worth considering if you don't have a car.

The hotel itself was very nice with plenty of room in a studio apartment. The toileting was a bit to get used to as we could not put tissue into the toilet bowl due to the small sewer system in the City. We only stayed 1 night so it really didn't affect us much. The staff was excellent and the breakfast by the pool was a nice touch.

I was not comfortable leaving the property to explore. It seem to be in more of a suburb area and not oriented toward tourists. However, others may have ventured out and found it to be just fine so don't go by my opinion alone.

Costa Verde Inn has very friendly and personable staff. Johan was helping us with all our questions. He went above and beyond resolving our concerns and issues. Adela - in the kitchen/restaurant - was always serving/ preparing breakfast with a smile regardless of number of guests. Room/bathroom were very clean and spacious. Very good value for the price!!

The location was conveniently located near San Jose in a quiet neighborhood. The grounds were well maintained and clean. The facilities included a pool, jacuzzi, free parking, and internet access.

I enjoyed the majority of features of the property. I didn’t appreciate that I could hear people driving into the property and unloading. Additionally, our stove did not work and the kitchenette lacked proper utensils, especially sharp knives.

Quiet location with lovely trees and plants and we even saw a toucan in a tree by the pool. Comfortable bed and good hot shower. Easy to walk into Escazu old town (though dining options there are basic). Uber worked well in this location.

Reception staff not welcoming and seemed rather disinterested in guests. Partly made up for by lovely smiling lady that served breakfast.
