The accommodations must have been recently updated because everything looked modern and new. Enjoyed having a mixed environment...the kitchen and bathroom were open, but the sleeping area was enclosed with A/C. A large well maintained pool. Our hosts were very helpful with our travel questions.

Kind of funny, but, a heads up about potential night visitors would have been good...went to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and found a frog staring at me from the toilet bowl! My wife would have peed her pants! After that I knocked before entering!

Beautiful grounds and swimming pool, amazingly clean and welcoming. Several nice beaches nearby. All guests were quiet and considerate, within their accommodations and in public spaces, allowing everyone to enjoy the serenity of the lodge and natural sounds of birds, geckos, howler monkeys, cows, and waves crashing nearby. This said, if you don't care for "the all of nature" including an occasional gecko, lizard, or small insect in/around your accommodations, this may not be the place for you. :) The managers are wonderful to speak with and provided excellent recommendations - understandably proud of this beautiful eco lodge.

Amazing experience! We were greeted at the entrance upon arrival which really set the tone for a warm and welcoming environment. The bungalow itself was quite spacious and the second floor was beautiful and had amazing windows. The bathroom is located "outside" but attached to the main bungalow and it was super clean and private. There was a kitchen area right outside the bungalow. We didn't use it, but it had stovetops, a sink, and a mini-fridge, as well as cabinets for storage. We also had a semi-private patio with chairs to lounge on, which was lovely. Overall, everything was very clean. The property itself provides everything you might need (eg. laundry drying rack, kitchen area, pool towels) and the employees really go above and beyond to cater to guests. The location is great if you have a car, it's just a couple minutes from Potrero central and a short drive to larger beaches.

No real negatives to note, just things people should be aware of. The pool is right in the center of all the bungalows and is very much a shared experience. (Not really a problem since there are so many beaches nearby) The weather is very hot, even at night, and the bungalows aren't air tight. There was a single air conditioning unit, but it can't cool down the whole bungalow. The second floor has two large fans which help a lot but can be additional noise at night when you're trying to sleep.

The cabin's were tastefully decorated and very comfortable (great bed and pillows). Was a good amount of space for the two of us. I loved having the pool just outside and I swam every day. Giving everyone a hammock was a lovely detail and I loved the windchimes. Maria was very welcoming and we walked into the village every day to go to the beach or get supplies. There was a food kiosk with fresh ceviche which we bought a few times.

Nothing - it was great. The only small improvement would be to have a local map in the information provided which shows how to walk to the different beaches and where things are locally. The wider map provided was useful but something more detailed is helpful.

We have fall in love from the moment the gate openned. Such a warm welcome by the owner! Everything is perfectly clean, all the bungalov equipment is new and modern, especially the A/C. Front terrace has a fully equiped kitchen, large fridge and a comfortable seating area either on the bar chairs or on sofa. Bed super comfortable, not too soft; bed linen just ideal for the hot nights. Lights in and outside the bungalov are selected for all activities you choose to do from reading to cooking. And the pool is just amazing! Wish we could stay longer than 3 nights.

beautifully decorated and natural. lovely outdoor shower. gorgeous pool and peaceful atmosphere. easy walk to Playas Penca and Prieta which are wonderful. Carmen the host is really warm and so helpful.

it’s not so private since windows all face another bungalow or the pool. Maybe a little too expensive, as is everything in this area. but it is still a lovely place and i recommend it. i had an “açaí” bowl for the breakfast which was not açaí- just a small bowl of granola with a bit of fruit prepared with no love or care. didn’t reflect the quality of the place. this was my only disappointment!

Boutique hotel, unique room design, great pool, awesome staff. We stayed in larger 2-stories cottage. The two double beds were high quality with additional sofa bed. Has a personal patio & kitchen in the back along a ravine. Very quiet small boutique avoiding high traffic. Staff is exceptional, always ready to serve customers & know how to take care of the property. Highly recommend.

Recommend some signage on road turn to hotel, google gets you here accurately but can be harder in the night.

It was a gorgeous little escape. The villa was clean and beautiful and the hosts were friendly. The back patio looked over the quebrada and we loved sitting and watching the wildlife and birds. Was just a short walk into town and to the beaches. Would absolutely stay there again.

The stairs in the big villa are really steep so it wouldn't be great for anyone with mobility issues or small children

We can not say enough good things about this place. The owner, Kristian, is very pleasant. Very courteous. Natalia is amazing. This was the most accommodating place that we've ever stayed. When my partner and I first arrived, we felt a little apprehensive about the location. It seemed a little quieter than we were expecting. But it ended up being so perfect. We have absolutely no regrets. Natalia found us so many great activities. It was a much better experience than being in a super touristy location. The pool is also great. If you're a dog lover, the owner has an amazing dog that will love you as much as you love him! If not, that's ok too. He doesn't get in your way. There's food walking distance from the hotel. You will be walking about 10-15 minutes on a hot dirt road. They're might be some bike rentals/car rentals in town. If you prefer to stay in, Natalia will make breakfast and dinner, which is a great option.

It’s so quiet, so clean and the perfect place to relax, well away from the hustle and bustle of Flamingo and Tamarindo, and really close to the fantastic beaches at Playa Penca and Playa Prieta.

Nothing - it was exactly what we wanted. If you’re looking for drinks, music, gym, spa etc it’s not for you, but if you want a quiet oasis where you can relax, it’s ideal!
