If you're looking for a cozy and welcoming place to stay, La Perlita Hostal is an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, the host's kindness and hospitality made me feel right at home. They go above and beyond to ensure every guest has a comfortable and enjoyable experience. One of the standout highlights was the amazing breakfast—fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start the day! Every bite was a delight, and it truly showcased the care and attention to detail that makes this place special.

There was a bit of noise on the roof at times, it was hardly a major issue and didn’t take away from the overall charm of the place.

The property is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the streets, yet it's within walking distance to the town center. The hosts are wonderful; they speak enough English to communicate effectively and are extremely helpful, taking great care of the property. There is air conditioning in the room, which makes it very comfortable. I truly appreciate the kindness of the hosts and wish them all the best in their endeavors! Additionally, breakfast was generous and served on large plates.

This is a bit different to the usual, having a cabin vibe in the main garden of the property. No AC, but the ceiling fan works adequately. Shower and bath room are good. Easy access to Jaco and beach, restaurants and bars etc a 5 minute walk away. Lovely pool and seating area is available and the owner offers breakfast at a small additional charge. Small but secure parking area for 3 cars.

The compact cabin vibe may not suit for longer stays, but 1 night suited us fine.

I just don't have enough good things to say about this place. Stayed in one of the bungalows for a week. Absolutely loved it. Pierrette is very attentive and accommodating, it felt like I was visiting my family I never met. The bungalow was amazing, it is surrounded in heavy vegetation so it always felt like my own little private space. Keep in mind it does not have windows, so if you are looking for ultimate privacy this option is not for you, but the location is far enough away from the center of town that it is naturally quiet. You basically live hearing the sounds of the forest all day and night, in a way very therapeutic. Sure, there are a lot of mosquitoes on the front porch but you just have to consider where you are...nothing some bug spray didn't resolve. The pool is well kept and I used it often. They also provide laundry services and the clothes are very clean and smell great. The cleanliness was one of the best i have ever experienced, and your space is cleaned daily. Also, small detail, but the best toilet paper by far of any airbnb/booking.com place i jave stayed at, and ive been travelling for 3 months straight at this point. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in jaco, thanks Pierrette and Marc!

It rained just all day just about every day I was there, but nothing you can do about that.

This is a wonderful little nook that served us well. We were driving by through the coast on our way to San José and decided to stop in Jaco. It was a room with 3 twin (single) beds. Just enough for crashing the night. Not sure if it will be good for more than a couple of nights since with bags and everything it could get a bit crammed. But it was perfect for our impromptu beach day. The breakfast was delicious and super close to the beach.

Room was clean and bed was large. Weather was pleasant that day.

No air conditioning when located at the beach. But we were not affected, because fan was powerful, and temperatures were pleasant the day of our stay.

Loved the friendly owners, the beautiful clean pool, the $7 breakfasts with all manner of tea choices. Pierrette is an amazing host and took care of everything we needed with kindness and a big smile. :-) The place has a beautiful mini rainforest and excellent flora and fauna around it. Such a peaceful setting to work remotely all day.

The wifi was weak and unavailable in my corner of the room where my bed was. Wifi also would cut out for a few hours each day (not Perlita's fault - it's the telecom company). AC had to be turned off when you left, which made for a pretty hot room when you got back. Would be great if that could be left on instead.

The place was very well situated on a quiet street and yet right next to everything. The place was very well kept and everything was in perfect working condition.

The mattress was a little hard for our liking. The electricity was not as reliable as we would have liked but that could have been a product of some severe thunderstorms.

The location is fantastic. Just a few minutes walk from Jaco city center, along a quiet neighborhood street. The hotel feels very quiet, secluded, and safe, despite being so close to all the action in town. The small, partly shaded pool was so perfect on a hot afternoon. Great for families! The lush vegetation remind you that you're in the rainforest. The owners were very nice and accommodating and provided us a ride to the airport late one evening, for a reasonable price. Even though the owners did not know much English, we were able to communicate well through WhatsApp.

Wish we had booked here for the whole time we were in Jaco. It was great!
