Half a block from the walking mall and the National Theatre. Good breakfast choices included, albeit small portions. Super clean everywhere. Breakfast bag to go for our early-departure day trip. Great price for the location.

Small breakfast portions. Low water pressure in the shower (but wonderfully hot). Noisy neighbors (but probably less noisy than the traffic heard in rooms that had windows).

The staff is wonderful, and I am not exaggerating. They always have a great smile and treat you great. We arrived before our "check in" time, and they have a safe room to leave everything there and you can start your day in San Jose right there and then. The hotel is great and located in a great place close to supermarkets and everything that you may need. Regarding our room was big enough for the both of us and that is what we wanted because we were there for a couple days before leaving. Breakfast was delicious and they have their little cozy and warm cafeteria that opens until 6. (Note: their cakes were delicious.) We also noticed that they have contacts for tours and their prices are reasonable. Thanks Cultura Plaza for a wonderful 2 day stay!!! See you soon. Pura Vida!!!!!

In the room where we were we could hear a lot from the lobby. Like an echo. There was an opening (nothing dangerous just the way the building was built and it could be seen only if you put yourself in the lobby under it) between the second floor (where we were) and the lobby. People sometimes get excited talking about their tours and experiences, and we got to hear an echo. The good thing is that around 10pm it was gone. Ask for a room on a different floor or different from under the lobby. Otherwise the hotel is Great!!!!!!!!

The breakfast is a little basic but has different options (vegan, gluten-free options). It doesn't have room service but the location is very convenient to know the center of San José and taking Uber. The person who served us our breakfast was marvelous and kind.

Even though the location is convenient is a little bit dangerous at night. I didn't recommend making a walk after 7 pm.

The location of this Hotel is fantastic! It's in the central location to all major sites around San Jose and easily walkable and accessible to restaurants, markets, museums etc. ATMs and supermarkets were close by as well for any errands or last minute items. PLENTY of cafes or coffee shops around the area too! I got a free breakfast during my stay and it was a really tasty and delicious breakfast that was very filling and freshly made. Staff were friendly and helpful during my check in and check out process, a true Costa Rican hospitality! I was also able to store my luggage securely at the hotel after check out so I can enjoy a free walking tour that is hosted not far away from the hotel. (Fun fact: The hotel is right across the street from an original movie theater in San Jose and down the block from another famous building owned by a coffee plantation mogul!) As for the room, it was clean, spacious for a solo traveler and had everything I needed from hairdryer, toiletries, towels, TV/entertainment and a mini refrigerator. The bed was comfortable and cozy so I was very well rested from a long travel day.

The room doesn't have a closet or hangers to put clothing or my luggage so I had to leave things on the ground. I didn't have a window in my room, but it didn't make a difference for me, but may make a difference for someone else.

Within walking distance to restaurants and museums. Clean facility and well kept property. Room was okay for a short stay. Good value for travelers on a budget.

No wash cloth provided. Didn't have a working iron. Could hear guest in there other rooms at times. Tile on shower floor was too smooth and could potentially cause a fall.

I have stayed here most of the times I have been in Costa Rica. It's as downtown as you can be in San Jose. Always nice staff, even the trainees! If I have another appointment I will be there at Cultura!

A fridge instead of a chill box.

The hotel is very clean, its facilities are good, the location is excellent for visiting downtown San Jose, the staff is friendly, and the included breakfast was exquisite.

The rooms don't have windows and they tell you once you've made the reservation, but the room is nice and confortable.

Centrally located you can see a lot walking distance from the hotel. There's a supermarket right at the corner if you need to buy drinks/water. They also have a water fountain available in the lobby. Breakfast was included, right in front of the lobby were you have multiple food/drink options.

Very central and close to the city center and close to Mercado central. Clean and fresh room. Good luggage storage if you are leaving later in the day after checking out.

The sound level. Much of the traffic can be heard very clearly in the room. If you are sensitive to high noise levels due to the traffic, bring earplugs

Room was very small. Wouldn't be comfortable for a couple, so should maybe be marketed for one person. Bathroom very narrow, so unable to sit straight on toilet.
