The room was huge and beautiful, and staff were attentive and lovely. Swimming pool was gorgeous and the restaurant was really excellent for both dinner and breakfast. Short (7 minute) walk to a really beautiful beach, with lovely warm water and great range of bars and restaurants. Beautiful sunset too. We enjoyed seeing scarlet macaws in surrounding trees; a real treat!

Shower wasn't very warm mid morning: had been really hot after other times, but didn't seem to heat water consistently. A minor gripe from an awesome stay. Would definitely recommend this lovely little hotel.

We randomly picked this place because we wanted to have another night near the water and a little closer to heading up to arenal. We were so surprised and absolutely loved this hotel and loved Herradura in general! The hotel had the kindest staff and felt luxurious. The aesthetic and decor was charming. The rooms were big, comfortable and ambient. The pool was so cute and nice and the breakfast was amazing! You can choose any breakfast from the menu! We were blown away. Just a short walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the chilled-nature of this town, especially compared to the nearby and busy Jacó. We had some of the best sangrias, saw mackaws flying around and had some good fishing there with locals! We were so bummed we only had one night here. We would absolutely recommend !

The location is perfect, 3 min drive to beach, or close enough to be shuttled in a golf cart by staff, or walk. Breakfast is included at Pepper’s restaurant- they will happily accommodate for vegan dishes. We had dinner in the restaurant and also dinner delivered to the room. The room is spacious with comfortable beds and a strong ac unit. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Love the pool and swim up bar to relax.

We were on the 2nd floor and the elevator was broken - it was fine to use the stairs but just a little difficult when bringing and taking luggage. There was a leak in the shower head that I’m confident will be fixed now that they know about it. I wish the jacuzzi was heated and about 5 degrees F warmer than the pool.

Paradise Bay hotel was great proximity to the beach and restaurants, only about a 7 minute easy walk. Rooms were huge, air conditioning worked VERY well, water pressure in the shower was top notch and the pool area was great!! We loved how cozy the whole place felt. Having breakfast included was perfect and the restaurant on premises was cute with many options. All the staff were kind and accommodating. They even gave us a ride to the beach with all of our luggage so we could catch our boat transfer the morning of check out. You should absolutely book this hotel for your stay in Playa Herradura. No matter how long or short you’re there!

I loved the facilities the pool with the swim up bar is incredible. Breakfast was incredibly beautiful and the service by all we encountered was outstanding. We would definitely stay again.

The air conditioning in our room didn’t seem to work properly even at the lowest temperature we were still hot at night so maybe that just needs to be checked. Water in the shower wasn’t hot and we would have preferred a window view onto the pool. However these things can be easily fixed and didn’t disrupt our stay too much.

The room was beautiful, comfortable and clean, it had everything I needed for my stay, including a small kitchen with plates and silverware. The staff was friendly and very helpful! I got a massage there too and it was very good. The food was nice as well!

I liked everything about the hotel, my only warning for travelers is the location. It was great for what I needed, but I've seen some guests trying to walk to a clothing store. The hotel isn't really close to many things. There are a few restaurants, a mini market next door, a beach about 5-7 minutes away, but that's about it. For everything else, you'll need a car.

We loved the delicious breakfast each morning and access to Herradura Beach, just down the road! The rooms were spacious and the beds were super comfy. In room AC was a plus. There was a pool bar but we didn’t try it out, could be cool for next time. We seemed like the only guests this week so we felt it was a pretty private stay overall.

This was a great basic boutique hotel with incredible food! Great alternative to the mega resorts nearby.

We got an awesome room upgrade from the hotel. Great living room to rest with a sofabed and watch TV with Netflix and IpTV available, we used the fridge and the kitchen a couple of times, and we got the necessary cookware for it. The room was big enough for 4 people and required 2 air conditioners to cool it. Also, having breakfast included is always a must for us. Thanks, great service.

One improvement item is the internet connection. Even having a good net, we found out that at night, when most of the people get in the other rooms, the internet fails and must wait a couple of minutes for it to start. And the only odd of this place is to understand the restroom is in the main floor, near the beds in the mezanine you dont have it, so if you need to go at night, you must climb down the stairs and return to bed.

The free breakfast was superb! The restaurant offered several menu options made to order. The room was large with 2 queen beds and a spacious living room for reading, relaxing, or computer work. There was a kitchen fully stocked. The pool was clean and the the lounge chairs were everywhere. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The “short walk” to the beach was actually several blocks - very difficult in the heat! But a shuttle driver was available to get us there quickly in the golf cart!

Lovely hotel just outside Jaco. Takes around 10 minutes drive. A 10 minute walk will get you to the beach where there’s a selection of lovely restaurants to choose from. Rooms are lovely clean and very modern. The breakfast is really good quality and a great selection.

The only downside is there’s not sun all day on the pool but that’s just personal preference.
