Firstly, this hotel exists! (Had to book it urgently as my previous choice disappeared between the booking and arrival). It is well located within walking distance from both the Inter-American Court and other institutions in Los Yoses/San Pedro and from the centre of San Jose. The room was equipped and spacious. It has seen its better days, but everything (except the safe) was functional, especially wifi and hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful, but make an effort in Spanish as not everyone speaks English. Breakfast is basic, but has fresh fruit.

There was hardly any daylight in my room. Breakfast starts at 8, I had to leave at 7.30 and despite promises that at least coffee could be arranged, got nothing (there are nearby places opening earlier, though).

The breakfast was absolutely delicious!! There were also options provided, which was great (we love Costa Rican cuisine). Not only that, but the staff who prepared the food and brought it out to us were so kind!

There was not one thing that we didn't like about our stay. It was serene, quiet, comfortable, and conveniently located. We will most definitely be returning when we visit Costa Rica again in the future!

It’s a little outdated and could use some touch ups. The disinfectant smell in the halls and rooms is very strong. The breakfast time is from 7:00-8:00, which is a joke / scam. It should be at least extended to 9:00.

A quiet, comfortable and well-situated hotel near all the restaurants and bars of Barrio Escalante. The room and bathroom were spacious and ours had a little garden outside. Breakfast was good.

The staff weren't very friendly, but we only noticed this because of the cheerful friendliness of other places we stayed. The music in the breakfast room was loud and a bit overwhelming - we moved outside to the pretty garden.

Staff was great; they’re accommodating, helpful, and sought to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was good. Hot running water in the showers. Hotel is located just off the main street so noise was minimal.

Rooms could use a bit of an upgrade.

The hotel was spacious with nicely decorated rooms and environment. Breakfast was great, location was convenient to walk to historical centre and train station. Vassili was very helpful.

WiFi was a little spotty and connection sometimes dropped. However once mentioned to staff it was resolved.

I loved the pathways to and from the room, the fruit trees in the very back and just a very interesting place. The staff couldn't be more helpful and knowledgeable of San Jose.

Super safe. Late check in with no issues. Upgrade to a de luxe. Beautiful place! Highly recommended!!
