Friendly staff, good breakfast, good value, good location, and the wifi was exceptional.

The hotel does not have air conditioning which was a surprise (it's not listed in the amenities, I had just assumed). The ventilation was good and the stay was not uncomfortable, however. Don't plan to sleep in because the train is loud. This didn't bother me (I felt very safe), but I reflected that my wife would not have liked that the room doors did not have chain locks as they are equiped with a simple door handle lock only.

Staff was superb. From trhe first encounter I was impressed. Two people personally guided me in my parking the car in the hoitelk's underground garage. The gentleman in charge personally called us taxi (Uber) and made sure we got into it. As we left, each oine of us received a small gift of chocolate (Bestar), extraordinary! The rooms were spacious and everything functioned well. on arrival we received instructions (among other things) of how to use the shower - sounds trivial but uin fact is VERY helpful as showers tend to work differently in different places.

Frankly, I don't know. We chose Tairona based on location and reviewes and we were not disappointed. If and when I will need to visit San Jose (possibly to go to La Católica Hospital) I will choose Tairona again, as my base.

Hotel location was excellent. I drove there but ended up taking ubers because of how close the hotel was to many restaurants. We walked to the mall a few times and if you are planning a shopping trip to San Pedro mall this hotel is your best option. Breakfast was decent and the hotel has secured parking.

The cabinets in the room are old and outdated (this could have just been my room). The parking garage is tight, I have a montero and was able to park no problem, but i helped an older lady who was struggling to park, so I should mention it in the review

A comfy room with a small kitchenette for a very reasonable price. Because of how hot, muggy & rainy the weather is you'll appreciate the laundry machine available for guests (pack some laundry powder). Staff were nice and hot breakfast was good.

The coffee wasn't great, but it was okay.

Very spacious, clean, comfortable room with kitchenette with all essentials. Secure indoor parking on site. Convenience store a few metres away and San Pedro Mall within strolling distance. Recommended if you need to be this end of town and excellent value for money.

Good location except for the commuter train but you get use to it. Very good value. And nice staff.

The only slight negative is the commuter train. But it’s not that bad.

Our first time here and we will be back. An excellent location one block from Mall San Pedro and an easy walk to the restaurants and clubs in Barrio Escalante. It's on a quiet street just off a busy route so the best of both worlds.

Its close to the train rail so you can hear quite loud honking every once in a while

For my purposes it was convenient and walkable.

There is a commuter train that runs by sounding it horn. But I got use to it.

Location is great near the university and barrio escalante with lots of nice bar and restaurants. Room was spacious and comfortable
