Villa Lav simply exceeded our expectations in every way. The place is a hidden gem in the village of Bale and it offers a relaxed high quality holiday. If you want to escape crowds on the beaches or simply find a perfect retreat to get away from the business of your daily life, this is the place for you. The owners and the staff was so pleasant (and professional!), they made us feel like we were home every day. The property was very well groomed and the rooms were spotless, furnished with beautiful custom made furniture. Wifi in the room was good. More importantly, the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is more than rich! It offers variety of food for everyone's taste. The restaurant in the Villa Lav offers Istrian and Macedonian cuisine and it is definitely worth visiting. Last but not least, the swimming pool is amazing. It is surrounded with high pine trees and there are plenty of sun beds around it for all quests. We saw pictures on the website but the reality was even better. The size of the pool is 18 x 13 m! During our stay in villa Lav, we visited Rovinj (12 km away), the Bale open air jazz festival and we went to an open air concert in Pula Arena. In addition to relaxing time in the villa, there are plenty of nice places to visit and events to attend nearby this beautiful property.

Very nice villa in the beautiful old town of Bale. The garden with swimming pool is beautiful, it is great place to relax during the hot summer days. Parking was easy in fron of the property. Our room was very small but cosy with the view to the garden. Aircondition was very helpful in the hot summer days. The food in the restaurant was very good.

There were a lot of things that did not work properly in the room, such as TV, cabinet door, holders in the bathroom etc. They organize weddings in the garden and the party is directly under the window of our room, but thay offered us to move to another room which was much quiter, so it was not such a big deal. Although we had to move all our stuff from one room to another and than back, which was a little bit annoying.

Beautiful property. Free parking available. Restaurant was great for dinner. Lovely pool area. Freestanding bath in our room. We loved exploring the old town where we went for coffee and a morning snack before we set off on our next drive.

Room was up two flights of stairs, but we were only there a night passing through so we left big cases in the car, thankfully! Bed was very uncomfortable, and towels were very not soft!

The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests have everything they need.The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and cozy atmosphere.Overall, I highly recommend Villa Lav for anyone seeking a perfect getaway. It truly offers a fantastic combination of comfort, excellent service, and delicious local cuisine.

Very well maintained, extremely clean, great food (dinner and breakfast, plenty of parking place, fenomenal pool and pool area, very friendly staff, nice location (10mins walk from tow center) and within 30mins drive from major Istrian towns (Pula, Fazana/Brijuni isles, Rovinj, Porec, Santavicenat, etc.)

There was a birthday party taking place, the guest and live music was loud and could be inconvenient for some people, even though did not bother us at all arriving late and being tired we fell asleep immediately

Quiet location, beautiful grounds and pool, short walk to delightful town of Bale. We only stayed one night as this was a transit stop before flying back to Uk from Pula but it would be a great base for a longer stay in Istria if you have a car.

Nothing major. A few of the fixtures (hooks, shower head, swimming pool tiles) could do with some minor TLC.

Amazing place! Everything was just perfect - good location, beautiful garden and pool area, very comfortable and spacious room, tasty breakfast and most importantly very attentive and welcoming staff. Our biggest recommendation!!!! We’ll be back 😊

Beautiful old country house. Lovely big room and swimming pool.

Nothing. The only complaint was that we had an early flight the following day and a member of staff said they were unable to provide breakfast as it didn’t start until after we were due to leave.

Lovely family-run villa in the village of Bale, just 10 mins away from the sea. Everything was great. Go for it!
