Beautiful view and location. The staff are all in all very friendly, especially the bar staff who is also very responsive. The swimming pool are is well placed within the property and provides for a relaxing atmosphere.

Attention to detail - there are far too many things to list where the detail was lacking, thus not warranting a five star experience for the price of the room. Just a few are: 30 minute check-in wait, no one to help with luggage upon arrival in heavy rain, furniture and carpet in room are tired, the refrigerator did not work and was not fixed even when asked, even though the outside temperature was below 20c that day we could not heat the room because the heating system was off, there was no Wi-Fi for a 24h period, etc. The potential is great, but it needs a lot of polishing.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful. We had a situation where we needed to exit our room for 2 hours due to some repair work, which was quite unpleasant. Ladies at the reception really went out of their way to make it as comfortable as possible, organising massages, etc. Thanks ladies for that! Good breakfast.

The fact we needed to exit our room due to repair work. First the hotel communicated it would begin at 09:30, so we went to breakfast and for coffee. Returned at 11. Repair men showed up then and we needed to exit the room for 2 hours. I understand it is not easy to arrange external workers. However, then the room should have not been set for reservation...

San Canzian is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful part of Croatia. We stayed in the three bedroom villa which was modern and luxurious without being characterless or out of place with its surroundings. The staff were friendly and endlessly accommodating. Our children were 1, 5 and 9 when we visited and the staff always made sure we were looked after. The restaurant was also very good and the concierge extremely helpful with suggestions for places to eat and activities we all enjoyed. We would love to go back.

Not really a negative but I would say that San Canzian is not specifically set up as a family/child friendly resort (and doesn't advertise itself as such). The fact that everyone was so friendly and accommodating meant that this really didn't matter to us and there were definitely other young children at the hotel. Some families might prefer accommodation that is specifically meant for families with young children though.

The staff is incredibly attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or queries. I would highly recommend San Canzian for those looking not just for a luxurious stay, but a place where their pets can feel equally at home.

Absolutely beautiful setting and property. Our room was lovely and had everything we wanted. Loved the evening treats and bedtime stories left on the bed. Breakfast was fabulous and we were able to sit outside overlooking the valley. Stunning. The pool area was fabulous with a spa area below. The staff were fabulous too. Loved everything!

A truly exceptional experience. Felt pampered from arrival to departure. Warm welcome and help with luggage with small golf electric car was amazing. Room decorated in nice modern- village style, with many small details. Luxury cosmetics, welcome note and cookies, and many other nice details. Great breakfast with local and fresh food, all was 1st class and super kind staff both in restaurant and reception. Great location for enjoying Kozlovic, Kabola and other wineries, enjoying Istria, but also visiting Venice with only 2 hours distance.

Location and design

Breakfast(not tasty, flies), food choice for dinner and room interior (dark, no windows, tv didn’t worked). There are no places in front of swimming pool for every guest (if you wasn’t quick enough you will be in garden)

Beautiful property, lovely staff. Rural location with delicious restaurants nearby (to include the hotel one!).
