We enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was located nearby the city center but still quite in a way. You could find cafes and restaurants within a walking distance. We could see the water canal from our window. The staff tried to be helpful as possible. The guy from the day shift gave us advice about public transport and beaches. They also let us an early check-in. The breakfast was delicious and one had many different choices to appreciate.

They didn't provide any slippers and surprisingly there is no fridge in the rooms. Also the coffee from breakfast was so watery and the taste wasn't much good. The WIFI connection was so poor in our room and we could barely download a single page during our stay. Although we asked the receptionist to improve the connection, they didn't do anything about it. Actually we also had a problematic encounter with the receptionist for the night shift. He was so rude that he answered our questions in the most unhelpful way.

I liked everything. The location is pretty good, the center and everything else is very close. The rooms were pretty decent as well, cleaned and tidied up every day. The breakfast was also very good, a nice variety of choices.

Mostly that the rooms didn't have any balconies. Especially for a place that people usually stay in during summer this is quite important. Another thing I would say is the checkout time, it was a bit confusing because we heard it might be 11, but we were still asked to leave before 10.

This is not a faded hotel like some reviews assert. Maybe not a grand hotel, but it has a certain style and a sense of history. It has many updates and is clean. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The windows are sound-proofed. The breakfast buffet is comprehensive and the restaurant solid. The location is two blocks from the start of the pedestrian zone. Delta parking is also nearby. The spaces are a bit small but the cost is not steep. The pay machine has English and takes credit cards. All-in-all, the hotel is a good choice for Rijeka.

Great location hotel in very downtown. Clean rooms (cleaning, new towels every day), with great matrecces. Staff is also nice. Breakfast is amazing - great variety and really tasty. All in all, highly recommended, would definitely choose Hotel Continental again, when next time in Rijeka.

The hotel is perfectly located in the hearth of the city. The staff is friendly and willing to be helpful.

This is probably because the hotel is located right next to the water, but the mosquito problem was unbearable. They literally have eaten us alive. This probably more of a general problem about the city, but if you are allergic to mosquitos, this is something to consider.

We had an incredible view. We stayed on new years eve and we could see a lot of fireworks from our window. The staff at breakfast was friendly and provided us each with a new year class of champagne.

The shower had a door, but it was on the opposite side of the shower head (in a bathtub) so all the water got all over the floor. It was also a very low showerhead.

We enjoyed our time in the hotel. The staff were kind and they offered delicious buffet breakfast. The unique feature of this hotel is its location. You can go for a walk along the water canal which leads to the street going through the city. The bus station is within walking distance and there are a couple of beaches which aren't that far away.

The hotel couldn't provide us with any toothpaste, toothbrush, slippers nor tissues. It seems fair enough to include these in your service. Also, the safe box was broken and was no use.

I felt very welcomed (personally addressed and signed letter in the room, very friendly staff at the reception). I loved the location and type of building. The balcony belonging to our room was nice and special. I also liked the kind of old-fashioned feel about the hotel.

I liked its history I could see it had been a grand hotel But it’s fallen sadly like a mature women in need of a face lift. It’s central and in a lovely part of town easy to walk to shops and a €6 to the Castle. Staff were exemplary.

Needs a refit to restore her.

loved the atmosphere, staff was very friendly and welcoming :) everything was clean and the breakfast looked very appetising you can tell the staff is working hard to make you feel comfortable

I wouldn't say the hotel itself (the building) is perfect and maybe some things are broken, but it's definitely worth its price
