Wow, this place is a must if you want to escape from busy city and have some calm relaxing time in just a beautiful place located in Troodos surrounded by the peaceful forest! super clean, incredible view from the room, super tasty food(both dinner and breakfast), very helpful staff, super silent around of the hotel, and it has some charm:) definitely will be back soon!

it was very cold in the room.. didn't manage ac to work properly(

- Charming, old-fashioned atmosphere — feels like a classic family-run hotel - Beautiful historic building and lovely grounds surrounded cedar trees - Spacious, and deep pool (~25 meters), usually quiet with no music (in July) - Peaceful vibe overall, mostly older guests, which adds to the calm - Friendly and kind staff (especially the young woman at reception) - Tasty dinners at the hotel restaurant — especially the fish and lamb - Simple but sufficient breakfasts

-Very unstable Wi-Fi — not suitable for calls or streaming - Air conditioning was hard to adjust, had to turn it off at night - Coffee at breakfast was not good - One staff member at check-out was quite unfriendly

This hotel has the old scholl grand alure, it is very big, with large sized rooms. The bathrooms of the cheaper rooms are a bit more simple, but everything was comfortable. The breakfast was the est i had on the entire island! Never saw such a big breakfast buffet. It is also open when we were with only a small amount of guests, so enjoy it as much you can!

It was great. It is a small walk to the village. The warm water was this time not functioning very well, not sure if that was due to the room or because maybe power outages ( the whole region was taken of electricity due to works on the net) , i had during another stay a wonderful hot shower.

Location, vintage elegance of facilities, tasty rich breakfast, extremely comfortable beds and floor carpet, spacious room, air condition doing good, room was warm in December, incredible view on forest and all the way to the southern Cyprian shore from the 7th floor.

Bathroom is old, shower handle was broken, water pressure in shower was way too low. Also, receptionists gave me bad information on buses schedule to Limassol which really complicated my plans. It's primarily my fault, but in my opinion, hotel staff should be better informed on such things.

This hotel is a rare gem, merging seamlessly with the Troodos forest but only a stone's throw away from the Platres village square with the restaurants, patisseries and even a local chocolatier! The hotel itself is like stepping into a time capsule - a living museum of Cyprus' colonial history. The passage of time has only added to the hotel's unique character, and you can't help the feeling of sweet nostalgia while walking along its corridors that proudly showcase famous patrons like Daphne du Maurier, Giorgos Seferis and King Farouk of Egypt (for whom Cyprus' national drink Brandy Sour was famously invented at the hotel).

Forest Park Hotel in Platres is a charming historic gem that has held up remarkably well. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to assist us, especially with our baby. The food was exceptional—lunch and dinner were delicious, and breakfast offered a rich variety, with GREAT bacon! :) Its location is perfect, just 15 minutes from Troodos and close to great restaurants and amenities. If you appreciate historic charm, warm hospitality, and fantastic food, this hotel is a great choice for a family retreat.

While our stay at Forest Park Hotel was overall very good, the biggest disappointment was the bathroom experience. The water pressure was extremely low, making it difficult to shower, and we struggled to bathe our baby properly. On top of that, the bathroom was freezing cold, with no effective way to warm it up, which made it quite uncomfortable, especially during the colder months. This was a major downside to an otherwise pleasant stay, and I hope the hotel improves these facilities in the future.

Exceptional. Stayed for christmas holidays 3 days/2 nights. not the first time, therefore well-known services, facilities. Staff always willing to help. Great buffet and a-la-cart menu. Old building though but it carries out a long history and tradition. It will be going under restoration - hopefully it will keep its character and tradition as well as its warm and always professional way in hotel accomodation. It carries a lot of history that should be nothing else but respected. Thank you for the short but loving and warm-hearted accomodation. We will be back soon.

Old buildng that needs restoration.

Lobed the big widows with towering green trees from my bed and the little balcony. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for me. The food in the restaurant was great and very good value for money. The room we had on the 6th floor was spacious, clean, comfortable, and very warm in spite of a snowstorm. It was lovely and cosy. The bathrooms were spacious and clean but a bit dated. I loved the shower gel provided but struggled with the squeeze bottle. Thete were also little bottles of toiletries provided. Some other rooms I saw need an update, but I was very happy with my room on the 6th floor. Did I mention the very comfortable beds, clean linen, and fluffy pillows? All in all, it is a great hotel for families specifically. The breakfast is ample, and even though I stayed here in peak season, there was enough of everything. I'd have preferred real coffee or tea instead of from a vending machine, but I'm a bit of a coffee snob. That would have elevated the breakfast experience. I also wish more of the curtains on the beautiful big windows were totally drawn back to let in the light and the forset view. The trees are lovely. The Christmas vibe was great! We loved the fairy lights, the Christmas trees, the pool tables, the arcade with classic games, and the crepes with Nutella while we played Rummy. There is even a children's room and a small gym for those of us too frozen to venture out. The hotel is super warm and cosy, but please, do venture out. The best aspect of this hotel is the family vibe, great food, friendly service, and excellent location. A short drive to the deep snow, to various waterfalls, or to the pretty little villages just there.

I saw a dated room that needs an upgrade, but other than the fact that this lovely hotel needs refurbishment in some areas, it has a lovely old-school vibe and is popular with families. I'd definitely return with my family.

Very beautiful quiet place. The hotel is big and it's as if you've stepped back in time. It exudes old traditions. Rooms very nice and clean! I really appreciate the kind and helpful staff, they always helped with everything and went out of their way to accommodate. The room is cleaned every day and tea is replenished. Shampoos, always clean towels, bath towels available. Nice relaxation on the balcony with a view of the forest, beautiful cool weather. Available sauna, children's corner. Breakfast in the morning, always complete and very nice staff serving breakfast. All child friendly. I recommend having your own means of transport if you want to travel around the area like we did. Free parking at the hotel.

Forest Park is situated high in mountains, therefore there's plenty of fresh air and pine forests around to walk and breathe freely. The hotel has its own swimming pool with middle-height diving tower and sunbeds around. It provides breakfasts, but further through the day it is possible to eat in the restaraunt whenever you like. Live music by Vasileos Viktoros in the evenings was an additional pleasure

The restaurant menu has a rather poor choice of meals appropriate for children. No special kids' menu is provided, which is rather strange, assuming that the hotel is suitable for children (it has kids' room, baby chairs in all food courts and an outer playing ground). Another point to improve - nevertheless the swimming pool, the suits have no means to dry swimming garments and towels, except centralized heating (which was turned off due to warm weather). A drying stand or rack on the balcony would be great idea
