The hotel location is fantastic, right in the centre of Platres, the staff are very friendly and overall we had a wonderful 2 night break.

Our room was small, which we knew from reading previous reviews, but the shower was too small. I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel bathroom where you had a shower curtain, rather then a screen. The hotel bar and restaurant are very expensive, so we drank and ate at the bistro directly opposite the hotel, which is actually owned by Petit Palais.

A beautiful hotel styled in a charming, vintage design, located in a picturesque area. The staff was excellent — they fulfilled all our requests and even stored our bicycles in a locked room. Delicious breakfast, and plenty of restaurants, a bank, police station, and more nearby. Just 50 meters from the hotel, there’s a spacious parking lot. Stunning views from the balconies, spotless cleanliness, and everything you might need in the rooms — fridge, coffee machine with coffee, milk, and sugar. Every morning and evening, delicious little sweets appear on the table. Overall, my husband and I were completely satisfied with our stay! We’ll definitely come again!

The staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The sauna/steam area was nice, and was always available when we wanted it (but I imagine it'd be busier in peak times). The staff brought us some tasty sweets on our first night which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was ok, a good amount to choose from. Location was great for hikes etc and the views from the balcony were lovely.

The shower in our room was extremely small, to the point where I kept accidentally turning it off by hitting the tap! The aircon was a bit noisy and kept clicking when the fans changed direction, so we couldn't keep it on at night because it kept waking us up.

Nice historic building, good interior desing, clean and very well maintained from lobby to rooms throughout, (power) showers impressive by local standards, sauna and steam room on the top floor are great , breakfast was excellent quality and value for money; onsite restaurant super nice, prompt, convenient and friendly with child and accomodating to all our extra dining needs - I could return for a meal just travelling nearby; manager was prompt to address a small issue and was super nice. Our corner room was small but well organized and very well lit (morning and daytime) from two sides, blinds and high quality balcony doors blocked all street noises and light at night. AC unit worked perfectly - quiet and accurate. Bed was comfortable, baby cot -- a high quality safe cot from top maker. Special kids toiletries were provided in addition to already nice shampoo etc. Staff are (99%) very friendly and attentive and helpful. Yes, there are beautiful views from the restaurant terrace and most of the rooms; the al fresco cafe facing the street is well shaded and serves fine restaurant food with super service. Our room was ready for earlier check-in so special thanks for that. As a family we liked everything so much that want to come again.

only a minor misunderstanding (from my side) happened at the check in and it was actually very easy to resolve by the manager, but a member of staff at first preferred an educating monolog instead of actually understanding the subject. The manager swiftly understood the matter and assured there was no issue. Parking options could be clearer described for first-timers (there are couple of spaces by the hotel and more parking up and down the street, some paid some free).

We stayed for one night and were immediately made to feel like family at home. The staff couldn't do enough for us - the little things like leaving us a note with the following day's weather and a sweet treat in accompaniment was a reflection of this. They also provided great recommendations for hiking, eating and sight seeing with the added benefit of gifting us their own personal experiences, which all fed into a truly unique and personalised experience for us both. Our sauna and steam was also perfect relaxation. Our welcome drink of the hotel's Commanderia also can't go without a mention. Efcharisto poly, Petit Palais :)

That we hadn't booked to stay longer

The hotel is fantastic! The breakfast was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of delicious options. We really enjoyed the private sauna — such a great touch for relaxation. The New Year’s unlimited sweets bar on the ground floor was a lovely surprise and added to the festive atmosphere. One of the most delightful details was the evening delivery of the weather forecast accompanied by sweet treats — such a thoughtful and unique gesture! The restaurant is phenomenal; we had the chance to try wild boar for dinner, and it was exquisite. The rooms were wonderfully warm, and we appreciated that hot water was available instantly — a pleasant contrast to what we’re used to on the coast.

The only suggestion I would make is to provide complimentary drinking water in the rooms, as most hotels around the world do, instead of selling it via the minibar. Despite this minor point, it doesn’t detract from the overall experience. The hotel truly went above and beyond in every other aspect!

We like the location and view. We like the attentive of the staff. We loved the fact that my email regarding my partners birthday was noted by leaving a wonderful cake in our room with a card. We loved the fact that as we were checking out, Zoe had acknowledged we were hikers and gave us a small map. We loved the private sauna and steam room. (One of the reasons I booked it) Petit Palais was up to our expectations and certainly deserves more than 2 🌟!

The building work going on as we were relaxing on our balcony and enjoying the view and birds.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly, making the stay pleasant and welcoming. The location is ideal, right in the center of Platres, which made it convenient to explore the area. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options to start the day. Additionally, the mattress was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.

While the mattress was great, the pillows were uncomfortable and did not match the same quality. The prices for the à la carte menu were exorbitantly high, with examples like €20 for spaghetti with tomato sauce, €28 for spaghetti carbonara, or €25 for grilled chicken with chips. This pricing seems to take advantage of the limited dining options in Platres. On top of that, even basic items like bottled water in the room were charged, which felt excessive - offering a complimentary bottle would have been a thoughtful touch. Lastly, the shower curtain felt outdated and didn’t align with the otherwise high standards of the hotel.

Sparkling clean ,warm welcome, comfortable room and bed, and the sauna/steam bath, which was particularly appreciated after a day of hiking. All staff were professional and kind. Updated outlets had USB and USB-C capability. Nice minibar with reasonable prices. Breakfast was beautifully presented with lots of fresh options, including a selection of local pickles and spoon sweets. .

Room was very hot from the afternoon sun, so I opened the balcony door to cool it down. I was really enjoying the fresh air until someone in the neighboring room starting smoking..the balconies are really close together, so there was no escaping it except to close the door.. TV had a lot of stations, but not much English content.

Situated in a lovely picturesque village, the hotel has a cosy little bar and reception area and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite small but we had a balcony so didn’t feel so enclosed. The restaurant is quite pricey, can’t comment on the food as I inadvertently (didn’t read the menu correctly) ordered the lasagna which was vegetarian which wasn’t to my taste. However the breakfast was very nice and you can have your eggs made to order. Had a lovely stay and would definitely return. It is quite hilly so may not be suitable for everybody
