Excellent hotel! The spirit of antiquity in the design and at the same time ideal new plumbing. Nice host, very cozy lobby, restaurant and terrace. Lots of interesting details, old photos and things that you want to look at. You could feel yourself like in old movie:) The location is good, a lot of trees, birds singing, you can walk on foot to restaurants, shops and trails(if you have no health problems). Room was nice, clean and spacious. Wonderful bathroom with excellent hot water pressure and flawless towels. Coffee machine, tea bags, kettle, hair dryer, all this was in the room. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

High audibility in the rooms. It would be great to have little fridge in the room, but this is not a disadvantage of course.

Room was modern, very large and comfortable, with a tiny balcony over the forest Overall atmosphere is awesome: building and common areas on the ground floor come directly from Gatsby period! I really felt like a 30's actress during the breakfast and I really enjoyed panorama from the hall

Mattress was not so comfy and windows couldn't be locked. As there is no lift and parking lots are few, I would not recommend this hotel to elderly people. Breakfast was a continental one with almost salty specialities: it could be improved by moving cakes, jams and choco cream in a different area, more accessible

Suited for people who search a different experience! Family owned for 5 generations, taken good, thoughtful care of. Mrs. Leto, the elderly owner, is a super-person, a real Lady from old. Don't forget jacket& socks, it's chilly at night even in August! Very nice Cypriot breakfast! Super-fresh carrot and orange juices, home made marmalades! Room basic but clean, comfortable mattresses, lovely cute balconies in every room. Hotel is situated in a lovely spot in the woods, not in the noisy center of Platres (which, of course, is reachable in 5 minutes pleasant walking).

The room deco and upholstery would be nicer if they were really old-style, to keep up with the general aura of the hotel, instead of 80s-90s style. They are of very good quality, but the stylistic impression is not very consistent to the external, and the lounges of the hotel. I heard that a refurbishment is under study - it would be lovely to opt not for the "modern" look, but for the quality 1930s look! Would be nice to have traditional Cypriot zymoto bread for breakfast, so to complement the rest of the Cypriot breakfast! Anari & haroupomelo would also go nicely with the rest!

Cosy hotel with beautiful surroundings and warm comfortable fireplace. Hospitality of the owner was superb. The staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was top notch before the hike around the waterfall.

It’s not that we didn’t like, it’s just the bathroom shower is quite tiny and uncomfortable. We are yoga people, so we managed to bend and stretch there. But for older people or people with disabilities the shower would be very unpleasant. Maybe other rooms had different shower.

We liked everything! The hotel contains the real old europe atmosphere. And is situated among the pine trees which you can see right out your balcony. The shower room is modern and clean. There are tea set and coffee set in the room.

Breakfast is not so variable as it could be. But actually is enough, so no claims. Nothing else to tell.

Amaizing nature around the hotel and lovely view. Interesting interiors. Helpful stuff. Absolutely serene atmosphere before weekend but a little noisy during the weekend. The beginning of September is a must time to visit that hotel if you are looking for the place to have a rest from heat and hustle.

It seemed to us that the food for breakfast wasn't changed during the week. That's why it felt like it was not fresh by Thu-Fri.

I really loved the atmosphere in this hotel. It was opened in 1929 and has a lot of character. The location is fantastic for exploring the nearby hiking trails. My kids loved sleeping upstairs in the room under the sky light. We would definitely stay again if returning to the troodos region.

Perhaps provide a small fridge in the room.

The hotel exudes a unique charm, as if it’s been transported from a different century. Tucked away from the bustling areas of Platres, it provided a wonderful escape from the city's hustle and the coastal heat. It was the perfect retreat to enjoy some quiet and peaceful time with the family.

Possibly my new favourite hotel in the world. A shrine to 1930s architecture and interior design. The hotel was designed to make the best of the high mountain breezes, the long verandah and the shaded lounges giving a touch of class that no modern building can hope to replicate. The staff seem to love the industry they've chosen and are at their happiest when guests are happy.

Literally nothing to dislike here.

The restaurant and balcony in the back are my favourite things about this hotel. Also the rooms were recently renovated and super clean! It's also a big bonus that every room had a balcony, no matter which category you book.
