Zámek Křtiny was home and a place of shelter to my mother and her school mates during WW II - a lot more basic back then! So returning to this place after 80 years was fraught with memories for her, but we so much appreciate the understanding and amicableness of the staff in the present-day hotel (and special thanks go to Tereza). Yet even without this background, the hotel (at just 20 km from Brno) would make a very pleasant base to explore the Moravian Karst with its many caves and wooded hills – a perfect autumn getaway. The large pilgrimage church that adjoins the hotel and the pretty gardens are additional attractions. The hotel is tastefully furnished throughout (bedrooms, restaurant, conference rooms) and all rooms were spotlessly clean and well heated. Great views from the terrace. We also enjoyed two excellent dinners in the hotel's restaurant.

What to write, room in Palace. Maybe it is not so renesance and monarch as You image, but still it is a Palace in the middle of town. When we were there there was a village party, then defenetly you fell like a landlord:)

The hotel is situated in a small village, very quiet location in an old abbey? However, very nice views, quite big parking lot, Good food, nice breakfast, moreover, in the evening the hotel restaurant is open and servs excellent Czech food. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Nice service. It is a very good start point to visit Moravsky Kras. Ca. 2 km is an interesting cave Vypustek

Everything was OK

Nice location in very traditional chateau yet very modern equipped room with large TV and sound system to connect your phone. Breakfast corresponds to continental breakfast standard also with some of the warm courses.

I think the only negative aspect of the stay is check-out until 10 a.m. which can be anoying for someone.

Friendly service on arrival, great location, breakfast above average and very comfortable bed and room. Terrace with a view of the Santini church and grounds. Not sure what more you could ask for 😃

Nothing that springs to mind....

The place is worth visiting for its uniqueness: high ceilings, numerous paintings on the walls in the long corridors, and a small art exhibition in the foyer. The room furnishings are modest but sufficient for a short stay.

Due to heavy traffic and several car accidents on the road, we were delayed by about an hour (the latest check-in time is 8 PM) and asked in advance for any help from the accommodation (we thought that the key could possibly be left somewhere). However, we received a strict response that we should cancel our already paid reservation without a refund and find another option. Thanks to Booking.com's help, they somehow convinced Zamek Krtiny to extend the check-in time as an exception until 10 PM (the restaurant is open until 10 PM, and the staff helped us get our key). Zamek Krtiny is a nice place, but our stay was marred by the reservation staff's unwillingness to accommodate the situation and the necessity to involve Booking.com for assistance.

Very quiet and lovely room with high ceilings! The room was cool despite the lack of Air Con (we stayed during the heat wave, and slept fine). Free parking.

The additional bed that we paid for was terrible (old clunky and unhealthy). No water heater, firdge or even bottled water in the room. The entire place needs an update.
