Room was clean and comfortable, plus everything worked well. There was a lot of variety in the buffet breakfast with something for everyone. The location was good with a bus stop outside and a tram stop around the corner with links to sport arena in one direction and Ostrava city centre the other way.

The area around the hotel is a bit dead at night and everything closes at 8pm. The only food outlet open later is a kebab shop plus a corner shop - the surrounding area us an industrial wasteland but that's not the hotels fault.

Terrific value and staff. Superb breakfast too! Very close to "Colors," "Beats for Love," and "Ostrava v Plamenech" festivals, and others in the "Dolni Vitkovice" festival area. Right on tram lines. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are available 24-hours, as is a small menu of snacks and drinks. Staff is helpful with answering questions sent by email / message. Great location near the festival area. Right on tram lines to either of the Ostrava main stations (Hl. N., Svinov). Quite close (3 tram stops or so) to shopping mall, downtown and nightclub areas. A few more to the stations. Really good value for the rooms, which are super clean and have everything in working order. Excellent, comfy beds and linens. Shower good water pressure and super clean. Toilet / sink in great working order always. I usually bring a fan in the summer, which helps adjust the temperature with rooms that face the morning sun. (Also blocks out morning tram noise from that side).

Air conditioning or fan would help, but the price is super great. Location is not very nice, but that's not the fault of the hotel. Directly on tram line, so windows must be closed in mornings.

Hotel's location and the welcoming staff. Small fridge, electric kettle, microwave oven and hairdryer in the room I stayed in. Large cupboard and shelves to store my belongings. Bedding and towels were clean. Buffet breakfast at CZK 170 per person was okay for the price.

There was a slight damp smell in the room upon entering, probably from the carpet. I prefer the hot water during the shower to be hotter than what it was.

Very very good staff. Helped in solving all issues. It’s definitely 12/10. A great breakfast buffet at a good price. I also advise you to try the pizza at the hotel restaurant, you won't regret it. The room had everything necessary for living, clean and tidy. The hotel is a little old, some problems with plumbing, but for the price-quality everything is excellent

The windows of the hotel overlook the square, where the clock on the church tower strikes every 15 minutes. So if you have a sensitive sleep, better stock up on earplugs.

Just a few tram stops away from Ostravar Arena. If (and when) the public transport is crammed after a big event, you can also consider taking a walk back to the hotel. Nice and clean. Our room had a bathtub. The staff was helpful.

If you're very sensitive to noises, you might have a hard time trying to get some sleep. You could hear quite well everything from outside and also something from other rooms.

Location very good, 3 pharmacies around, restaurant downstairs, bakery next to the hotel, grocery store with all essentials. Room was very clean, had a microwave, kettle, fridge in the room. Lovely staff at the reception and at the breakfast.

No curtains, which are absolutely necessary when too much 🌞 outside. Only blinds in the windows.

One of the best values in Ostrava. Close to bus and tram lines (a few meters' walk), and walking distance to main outdoor concert venue (15 mins' walk, Dolni Vitkovice). Friendly, helpful staff. They are always very nice, fast and helpful with transportation times and other information. Breakfast is pretty good, big variety of basic stuff to eat. Large fridge with drinks also available for purchase, as well as free coffee, milk, juice and water. Nearby hospital and mini-market with everything one can need. Short tram or bus ride to main shopping center / mall, and main bus station. 15 minute ride to either main train station: Hl. N. or Svinov. Rooms clean and comfortable. Modern bathrooms. Firm beds are super comfy. Quality pillows and blankets. Large windows (with blinds and lace curtains). You can ask for a room with no carpet, which I do, as it's better for allergies. All in all a great place for the money, with friendly staff.

In the summer, the rooms get a bit warm. And opening the window means a lot of noise from the nearby tram lines. So bringing a portable fan is recommended. Not the greatest area, but I mind my own business and have never had a problem. Reflected in the good price.

The hotel is located close to the Dolní Vítkovice area (about 10 minutes walking) in a nice square (in front of St. Paul's church, Kostel Svatého Pavla), very close to bus and tram stops. The room was large and it had an inside door to reduce the noise from the corridor. The bed was comfortable and I could also use a desk to work. I had also breakfast there, which was a buffet with a wide selection of food (ham, eggs, cereals, coffee, tea, etc.). Overall I am very satisfied with the service and the price was very reasonable too.

There was no elevator, but I didn't have any problems since I didn't carry heavy luggage.

Hotel Veronika is a clean, quiet, laid-back hotel with a good price, easy location, and really excellent staff. They also have a pretty exceptional breakfast. I love this hotel because the staff is always extremely friendly and helpful with any needs or requests. They really are the best. For the price, the value is also pretty exceptional. Basic clean room with everything you need. Property is a little out of the way, but it's easy to get to from any train or bus station by tram, or a nice walk from the Dolni Vitkovice tourist area, or the local mall, Nova Karolina.

Noise on the street is not great, because it's a busy road with cars, tram line, church bells, people off to work in the mornings, etc. However, it's not so much noisier than the center anyway, and the hotel itself is very quiet. Neighborhood is not super great. Lots of people hanging around, etc. However, again, the center isn't any better, so in Ostrava for me this is the best option. At least it's a bit out of the way, quiet, low-key etc.

the rooms were modest exceptionally clean and the staff were lovely. the restaurant was excellent too. really great value for money.

the surrounding area was a bit derelict but fine. initially it was a bit intimidating but that should not detract from how good this hotel is. note there is no lift in the hotel and they seem to clear up the breakfast early. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of choice, so go down sooner rather than later.
