Very centric and good level of cleanliness. Staff was also kind and nice.

Bed mattress was a bit hard. Pillows were too small and too thin. The hotel should definitely replace those bed pillows with new ones, bigger and more comfortable for proper sleeping quality of its customers. Breakfast quality was not what one would expect from a hotel of this level. Juices served on breakfast were "simply water". Lots of room for improvement in the breakfast area.

The room was spacious and spotless with elegant interior design that created a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was especially outstanding! A variety of dishes made with fresh ingredients were offered, allowing me to start my morning on a delightful note. Additionally, the surroundings were quiet, providing a peaceful retreat. I would love to visit this hotel again in the future. Highly recommended!

Hotel has a great location in central Ostrava, with the train station just a longer walk, or shorter hop by public transit (runs very often in Ostrava) away. Rooms are large, restaurant, while the typical Mercure type (they all even named the same everywhere) has a nice local flair to it, with both food and beer etc. Lounge included with privilege rooms and suites is a nice touch. Not big, but not overcrowded, though you are usually not alone there it has enough space to make you feel privacy and the best red wine I’ve tasted. And it’s LOCAL! So it’s worth to pop in for 15 minutes or so.

Not really an issue but check in takes rather a long time. I understand in Czechia they must put in all data of all guests, but some other hotels in the country let you do that online, and at reception they just take a glance at IDs. But that is very minor.

I loved everything about this hotel. I'd booked an AirBnB for my time in Ostrava, but it unfortunately left much to be desired, so I opted to stay at the Mercure instead. Having stayed at Mercure hotels in other countries, I knew what to expect, and this hotel didn't disappoint. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the room was very spacious, well-appointed, and clean. I was lucky enough to be given a room opposite a church, so I was treated to the sound of the church bells every hour and every half-hour, which was delightful. I also celebrated my birthday during my stay at the Mercure, and the manager brought a lovely little birthday tart to my room to wish me a happy birthday. It was completely unexpected but spoke volumes about not only the staff, but the Mercure hotel chain in general. That simple gesture meant a great deal to me.

There isn't a single thing that I didn't like. My stay was absolutely perfect in every way. I don't know if or when I'll have a reason to return to Ostava, but if I do, I will certainly stay at the Mercure again.

Because of the hotel’s location, its parking is small, there is no possibility to book a parking spot upfront. so sometimes it could be challenging to park at the hotel’s premises, especially during the weekend. We didn’t have this problem during our stay but you need to be prepared that you may need to find a free spot outside the hotel. Just remember that some areas are restricted for residents only.

We stayed here only one night on our way through by car. It was perfect with the car park in the yard. The personal was nice and the breakfast ok. Since the blankets were really thin it was good that one could adjust the temperature to warmer, which worked perfectly.

The bed was a bit hard for us (not too bad) but the pillows were really thin and small. No extra pillows in the room.

Beautiful historical building centrally located in walking distance to Masarykovo square. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was pretty good selection for breakfast but I didn't like the coffee (machine one). I'd come back again when visiting Ostrava.

Bed mattress was too hard and pillow was too soft so I didn't have the best sleep. Hairdryer stopped working after two minutes.

Nice hotel in a good location, close to most attractions. Friendly staff, always willing to help. Breakfast was ok, with a wide range of products. The room was really quiet and clean.

The hotel needs some redecoration, the furniture should be replaced. The room design looked like in the 1990s;)

The hotel room that had a phone, and could not make outside local calls, properly. I went back and forth between my room and the receptionist about 4 times to "learn" how to property make outside calls. After 4-5 attempts to make an outside call with the given directions, the receptionist said I could make the call from the front desk. It would have been better for the staff to know how to make outside call from the room. Otherwise the stay was very good.

Great location, a short walk from the city centre and accessible from the station by tram or trolleybus. Good sized room. Good breakfast choices.

Disappointed that my first choice for evening meal was not available on the day I decided to eat in, but otherwise no real complaints.
