Located a short distance from the central area of Dresden, it was easy to reach many places simply by walking. Although it is located in a quiet residential area, there is a supermarket and a small shop nearby, which were very useful during my stay there. The rooms are comfortable and very spacious, with more space than is common to find in other hotels. I found the maintenance and cleanliness to be excellent. In addition, the location of the hotel, on a spacious plot of land next to the Elbe River, means that all the rooms are well lit by natural light, which I also liked a lot, as well as the beautiful landscape that can be seen from all floors. The hotel staff were friendly and professional and I thank them for the kindness with which I was treated. Hotel Am Terrassenufer is definitely a hotel that I would recommend to other travelers.

Super friendly staff from Meike who received us on arrival and who finalized our checkout to Jana and Victoria in restaurant. They were all really attentive to everything sincerelly willing to make our stay perfect. Room was big with a nice view on tge city. On breakfast we had all kind of things to choose from. It made sense to opt in for. Summarizing: that's the place I'll return, that's the place I'd stay in Dresden.

The location was wonderful, only 15 minutes walk right into the old town, where all the major sites are. Also excellent location for walks along the Elbe river. The views from the upper floor rooms are spectacular. Also the hotel was very quiet - no noisy chatting people as in quite a few other hotels. This hotel also caters to bike tourists ! There is also a sturdy, locable bike shed on the property that costs EUR 2,-- / night.

Internet access extremely poor. Sometimes there was no access, and when I had access, it would crash and I was not able to watch YouTube videos at all. Extremely bad internet and in the times of VDSL and fiberglass internet.

Location was very good, easy walking distance to centre. Nice low-key feeling to the place --suits me very well. Big spacious room -- not very common these days.

Fairly minor but [1] it would have been nice to have a kettle and tea. Water only supplied. [2] When my flight was delayed by 4 hours I tried to advise the hotel but no-one answered the phone. I sent an e-mail but wasn't sure it had been received.

The location was excellent. The room was very warm and a standing fan was provided, so that was thoughtful. There was plenty of space in the room and a good-sized desk. The view was excellent, but since the Carolabrücke was just outside the windows, it was also very loud if I tried to open the window

Well the room was extremely hot! I needed the fan all the time The warm water in the shower only worked if I pushed the handle all the way to the hot side, but it wasn't labelled which side is hot, so the first time it took me more than 5 minutes of waiting and wiggling the handle before I found the not-freezing water

Great location by the river for visiting the old and new city centres, seeing the sights and taking in the historic river ambience. Easy walk into the historic central areas, with scenic views galore. Excellent staff on duty at reception; welcoming, informative and helpful. The hotel has a small, intimate, relaxed and quiet feel, being located just outside the busier inner city areas. I visited Dresden for just two days, one night, but saw a lot in that time staying at this hotel.

Spacious and clean room, big windows provide a nice view of the city and the river.

Because of the collapsed bridge, it is not very convenient for pedestrians. By the way, it would be better if a coffee machine were inside the room.

Unfortunately the Carola Bridge just collapsed impacting the hotel’s location and its business. All access to river and bridge is closed. Also, there was only one English TV channel, BBC. CNN was listed but didn’t work.

The room was very spacious and clean. I had a great view (I was on the 10th floor). There were two beds. There´s a designated wardrobe area, a TV and a desk. I enjoyed the complimentary bottle of water. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and soap is provided. I didn´t have the breakfast buffet but ate in town as I know my way around. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and family.

Excellent hotel with a delicious breakfast. Each day something else is added to the menu. It was the first time I was not tired from the food in the hotel while staying there for five days! Highly recommended!
