The location of this hotel is perfect — approximately 10–15 minutes on foot from the main railway station. The area is surrounded by beautiful architectural buildings, and there are two shopping malls just a 5-minute walk away. The hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly, and the breakfast is excellent — definitely a great way to start the day. There was one disappointing thing, though — although it’s not the hotel’s fault. Every 15, 30, or 60 minutes (I couldn’t quite tell the exact timing), a bell rang loudly, and unfortunately, it woke us up at 8 AM. I’m not sure what it was for — it didn’t sound like a regular clock chime — but it was loud enough to disturb our sleep.

Great hotel in the city centre. Very convenient on-line check-in. Good breakfasts. Underground car parks. Possibly all a bit expensive. Room was comfortable. Great bed. The bells did not disturb)) it is even interesting. We definitely recommend it!

We had a premium room. It comes with bathrobes and slippers. They weren't in the room. When I asked for them to be brought, they told me there were no more bathrobes. This is strange to me. The slippers came quickly) There are no kits in the bathroom. Just hand soap shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion. It's not a disadvantage of the room. Just good to bring with you)

Very convenient, wonderful room with plenty of space, huge windows, bright and clean, facing Altmarkt. Would come back.

The front desk staff is inconsistent but does not take away from the property. We were told room is not ready and to come back at check in at 3pm, then asked a different person and were told it is. This same staff member later told us we can walk to the train when the taxi they ordered for us wasn’t showing up (it showed up 10 minutes late, unfortunately no Uber in Dresden). Hotel is wonderful, staff needs some training.

The hotel is brilliantly located in the heart of Dresden and the staff were very cheerful and competent, both at check-in and out and at breakfast. We stayed for two days and the arrangement in which cleaning on the second day was exchanged for a drink at the bar seemed to me to be a very good idea and allowed us to sleep in a little longer without being disturbed. The breakfast was also very good and the coffee, in particular was brilliant.

Two very minor things in an otherwise very good hotel - I am not young anymore and I found the shower in the bath a bit slippery under foot - younger folk will not have the same worry but it is worth noting for we older people and second the eating area for the breakfast is large and spacious but the actual area in which the food is to be found is somewhat confined and one or two guests became a bit fractious if the queue was moving the wrong way, so far as they were concerned, or there were people in their way of the next course. Really, this observation relates to the guests rather than the design - a little more patience on their part would have been good - there was more than plenty of everything and no-one missed out on anything!

Reception personnel is very positive and supportive. When there was a delay with the room, the young women (if I am not mistaken, Erika) was very sad and trying to get as much info as possible from the cleaning personnel, but the latter were not helpful. One of the guys at the reception even shared his personal phone number so that i could ask him to order a taxi. Bar personnel are very positive and supportive too.

Very clean, comfortable, and modern. Excellent location from which to see the Old Town, as well as shop. The hotel is located close to parking (Ferdinandplatz) which only costs 12€ per night to park. They also offered a genius idea where if you are staying more than one night and decline to have your bedroom cleaned, you receive a voucher good for a free-drink. Having a refrigerator and tub/shower combo were nice plusses, and the cost was very reasonable.

The hotel was in an excellent location next to the Kreuzkirche, & Commerzbank/Dresdner Bank with a parking garage under the hotel and square. All the main sights were within an easy ten minute walk if not less to include restaurants. The staff was excellent, facilities were super We had a kitchenette with refrigerator & microwave. TV & wifi worked well. Would stay here again. Breakfast had fresh fruit, excellent choice of other breakfast items as well.

No negative comments

We chose NH Collection Dresden Altmarkt due to its location. We were delighted to be so close to a wide choice of restaurants and the Altmarkt sites! The hotel was comfortable and clean. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet and felt that it was well worth the extra charge. Parking underneath the hotel was very convenient.

Despite staff who seemed efficient at their jobs, check- out took an unusually long time. Perhaps you should allow guests the option for self-check out? Unfortunately, the hotel has a problem with the dark wood laminate flooring used in many areas. There are many many deep scratches which distract from the overall aesthetic. Clearly the quality of the flooring was not up to the usage requirements. Hopefully, the hotel will be able to replace this inferior flooring in the near future.

Very nice hotel. Confortable, all was prepared for our family of 4, the beds wher comfortable, quiet and clean. Very good breakfast! The situation is exzellent! Parking at the spot. I would have given a 10 if (see below).

The maintenance of the bad room could have been better. One of my son had to take a coold shower, seams like the water pumps are not maintained well. Soemetimes the hot water was ok and then it went off again. Dangerous if you have to shower a 2 year old!

Easily reached on foot from the main railway station on an almost entirely pedestrianized route. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was modernly furnished and clean, as was the bathroom, and both were equipped with everything we needed. The location is ideal for a city break, located on one edge of the old city center. Two tram stops within minutes offer different lines, so it was easy to get to more distant attractions. The hotel bar was modern and comfortable, and service quick.

The air conditioning was really weak; even with the temperature dial set to a minimum and the fan on full (which is not quiet) the room was not especially cool, so I didn't sleep as well as I would have liked. It wasn't just the room; the air in the bar was also, despite air conditioning being on, not particularly cool and also a bit sticky.
