Location of the hotel was excellent for sightseeing all the main Dresden attractions. Public transport (we used mainly trams) was very close to the hotel. Breakfast and coffee options were great, there was something for everyone. We liked the uniqueness and staying in this hotel was something positively different compared to other hotels we stayed in so far. Overall, we had fun!

This hotel offers an exceptional experience with several highlights. The breakfast was fantastic, featuring options like self-made juice, delicious little pancakes, and high-quality coffee. The location is superb, just a 10-minute walk to the city center or an easy tram ride away. For travelers with electric cars, the charging station and secure parking are definite pluses. The hotel's standout feature, however, is its uniquely designed rooms that offer a truly special atmosphere.

While the overall experience was pleasant, there were a few downsides. The hotel room was quite noisy, and conversations in the hallway were easily audible. Additionally, the pillows were too soft for my liking, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Lastly, signs of the building’s age are starting to show, which detracts slightly from its otherwise charming appeal.

The hotel is a fun place to stay - more than the basic hotel experience with all the artworks everywhere, the bathroom also looks fun with the vivid yellow tiles and 80s style basin. The breakfast was also nice, a lot of milk options (soy, almond, oat, normal) and possibility to have gluten free bread rolls as well.

The pillows were very bad for my neck, but you have to know that I am the kind of person who suffers from bad pillows a lot. The mattress also could have been harder.

not entirely worth the price, we expected more for a 4-star hotel, there were no toiletries or slippers, even the first day there was not enough shampoo left in the shower, no one came to clean the room for us, impractical sink, the staff couldn’t communicate in english well, visible signs of use, overall cool art but little bit disturbing

When arriving at the hotel we were impressed by the generous lobby with paintings. Our room was facing the inner courtyard, so they very nicely offered another with street view. That was from our part a big mistake. The room was on the last floor, smaller than the first one, and on the street there where workings. Breakfast is standard, underground parking with elevator access is a nice feature.

The hotel is modern, designed in the 2000’s but started to get dated. The room design witch was supposed to impress with a round wood pannel wall between the room and the bathroom is now just ridiculously unpractical with a table attached to the wall who is supposed to move on rollers to open a closet, and to do that you have to move the bed. Al that bizarre setting being reduced to a lot of space eaten from the room, to the benefit of a bathroom full of floor to ceiling mirrors (entering the bathroom you see four sinks), but a small shower. The lighting is also part of the bad design, with two semispherical huge lamps above each bed. As to crown all there is a peep window between the bathroom and the rest of the rooms. The windows in our room where dirty as was the windows on the hall.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, the art adds a nice touch, bike rental, the "Classic Double" was well appointed with good use of space.

A little bit of quirkiness.....in my room there was no place convenient to plug in the coffee maker, the house keepers come in every other day so if you need more coffee stuff you have to remember to ask.

The hotel is basically an art gallery, very different from all the other hotels i have been. Everywhere there are paintings and colors, the hall is a real art gallery. The room was specious and also very different from normal, the wardrobe is hidden behind a wall that opens rotating the table. Toilet is also quite large, plenty of mirrors inside, a wide shower and a curious window to the room with a button that changes the glass from matte to see-through. Bed was also quite comfortable and the staff was kind and helpful, easy check-in and check-out, overall very satisfied with it.

Nothing much, if i have to find any defect i would say the location that is about 15 min walk from the real center (so not a big deal) and the loud heating system

We had a lovely stay at Penck Hotel Dresden. The room was quiet and peaceful, and the beds were very comfortable – even the children slept well on the sofa bed. The hotel felt calm and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent. Thank you for a pleasant experience – we would gladly come back!

We have no complaints at all – everything was great.

Perfect hotel when you come for the Dresden marathon - it's just 5 mins walking from the start/finish area, the same time it's 15 mins walk to the city center. Loved also the design of the hotel, which goes in the name of the famous painter. Nice staff, comfy beds, parking in house (extra charge), really great option in Dresden!

We loved the design with these great artworks by A.R.Penck. The room was very good, useful, clean and spacious. The stuff was very nice and professional. Easy online Check-in and Check-out. A BIG THANK YOU!

The breakfast at hotel could have a better option for bread (also different dark rye bread). Especially I missed a little gift store with postcards, posters, books and T-shirts/ Base Caps with A.R. Penck's art.
