The staff at Hotel Victoria were amazing, courteous, and very helpful! Thank you!

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the central train station, which is just a 15-minute train ride from the airport so, location-wise, it's hard to beat. It's surrounded by pubs, cafés and restaurants offering everything from Oriental and Middle Eastern cuisine to local German dishes. All major tourist attractions of Frankfurt are within walking distance. I was able to go down to the River Main twice in a day, to catch the city skyline both in the daytime and after dark. The shopping area is also close by. The air-conditioned room I had (#210) was decent - small but had everything necessary (kettle, wifi, toiletry, etc.) and most importantly, clean. The fridge in the room was broken during my stay but the young lady at reception was so kind as to store my food in their kitchen fridge overnight and helped warm it up for me the next evening, so the broken fridge wasn't an issue for me. Some reviews have flagged the neighborhood as "sketchy" and "rough" but I, as a single female traveler, first time in Frankfurt, did not feel unsafe at all, even after dusk. The streets are full of people and vehicles till late at night (this can be negative - see my comments below). It's true that some people behave oddly on the streets, but isn't that just part of big-city life? As long as you don’t bother them, you’ll be totally fine.

While it’s not exactly the hotel’s fault, it was pretty noisy at night—even with the window sealed tighter than a jar of pickles. The street noise (including frequent sirens) and music from nearby pubs kept going well into the wee hours (i.e. 4:00 am), which wasn’t ideal when I was just trying to get some sleep and convince my jet-lagged brain it wasn’t still partying in another time zone!

The staff at Hotel Victoria were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. While the hotel's foyer is on the smaller side and a bit old-fashioned, it is impeccably maintained, with a charming breakfast room to the side that’s clean and well-stocked. The hotel is surrounded by a variety of excellent restaurants, adding to the convenience of its location. The hallways are bright, airy, and well-kept, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. The room itself was tidy and spotless, with everything in good working order, though the decor felt a bit outdated.

Unfortunately, the major downside was the noise from the street, which was quite loud and disruptive, making it difficult to sleep peacefully.

The room was small but super clean and cosy. Shower had good pressure hot water. Bed was comfortable. The hotel managers at reception were courteous and helping, guided us well. Adjoining bakery is out class and best option for with in budget breakfast of top quality. Hotel is so close to central station just 3 minutes walk. If you need halal food there are so many halal options near Victoria hotel located at junction of Kaiser straße & Elbe straße. You can have halal Thai, halal Pakistani, halal Turkish restaurants several coffee shops and supermarkets near Victoria hotel frankfurt near Central station hauptbahenhoff. Downtown shopping area is 15 minutes walk away. I love my stay and will definitely stay here again.

Room size is small but in price this hotel is offering it's ok.

The room we got was fantastic. Everything was very comfortable. We had a coffee machine and the coffee was awesome. The toiletries were very fancy and of great quality. Breakfast was fantastic and with a variety of food. We would definitely stay there again when visiting Frankfurt.

The was just this noise coming from the A/C that sounded like water; we called reception and the person said he was alone and could not send anyone to fix it, but he offered a new room, which we decided not to take. He did his best, and that was great. Although it is not the hotel's fault, but hotels should speak to the authorities about all the dirt and the craziness around the Main Train Station. Tourists feel insecure around this area. It was not like that back in the years.

It wasn’t luxurious in any sense but was good value for money. The staff were very nice and helpful and the room was fine with a good shower. DO have the breakfast especially if you’re diabetic. I didn’t on the first day; I took my insulin and it then took me ages to find anything edible in the vicinity and when I did……..it was inedible! On day 2 I had the breakfast and it was very good. Also recommend buying the 2 day transport card.

The hotel is very close to the train station, 15 minutes (slow) walking distance from the downtown/ city centre. If you don’t like walking, there are scooters around every corner. I was staying there one night, so I didn’t care much about the size of the room, however if you’re claustrophobic and you’re travelling alone, let the reception know that you need space. I believe that they’ll do everything possible to come across your expectations. Shoutout to Patrycja at the front desk; very nice person, helped me out to figure out the city centre and she made sure that I was happy with the room. If I ever come go back to Frankfurt, I’ll stay there again.

The wonderful staff at this hotel could not be improved upon. Every member was friendly, very helpful, enjoyable to deal with, welcoming and professional. Our room was extremely comfortable, very roomy, beautifully decorated throughout. The hotel was small which really appealed to us compared to a large impersonal choice. The size of the hotel did not take away from all this place offers. The central train station is less than a 10 minute walk which is very convenient for train travel plans.

So, this was not necessarily a dislike to us but some should be aware. We did not find the location an issue at all though some people may be somewhat uncomfortable as it is not located in the most desirable neighbourhood. However, we read about this area in Frankfurt well in advance to our arrival so we were not put off when did arrive. Yes, the streets are not as clean as other areas of the city but it is a diverse and lively area complete with excellent dining and shopping options. The only thing we would recommend changing is the quality of the mattress as the bed we had was not to most comfortable. That and firmer bed pillows.

Liked you could open the window for fresh air. With window shut the street noise was minimal. Slept easily. Buffet breakfast was very nice. Would stay again. Felt safe and comfortable in my room.

Seeing people off their faces on drugs sitting in gutter when you look out the window at night. Saturday night was very LOAD until about 10pm, might be a warm up club closeby as on Google night clubs start after 10pm.

My room was very comfortable and warm. The heating worked well, which was good, as it was around freezing outside. The bed was great and the facilities in the bathroom all worked. A good shower and plenty of hot water. Soap and shampoo are provided daily. The breakfast was certainly worth paying for. Cereals, yoghurt and plenty of cold meats and bakery products, rolls, croissants and bread. The location is not the best. It is about 15 minutes walk from the main station, which is why I chose it, but like many railway stations, there are some undesirables roaming the area, especially at night and there are strip clubs for those looking for that sort of thing. However, nobody actually bothered me. I think the threat is more imagined than real. Overall I was very happy with the Victoria and I will certainly consider staying again next year, when I plan to be in Frankfurt again.

As mentioned above, this is not the best area of Frankfurt, but it is vey convenient for the main station.
