Staying at Gasthof Ochsenwirt was a delightful experience, characterized by amazing food in a great atmosphere. The restaurant offered a variety of traditional dishes that were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, making each meal a memorable occasion. The ambiance of the place added to the charm, with warm lighting and rustic decor that created a welcoming environment. Very clean, recently renovated/refreshed room, fantastic, big bathroom. Good wifi, very nice breakfast. There is only one ATM in town that accepts revolut card - Sparkasse and you can withdraw without any commission. This is a perfect place for a short stay and probably for a longer stay as well. We picked this for a quick pitstop on our way to Zillertal and it was perfect. Local, tasty, mineral water available free of charge, cold :)

Officially reception open until 9pm and there is no way to check in after that time. We were one hour late and there was still somebody allowing us in, however save yourself a stress and arrive no later than 9pm.

During our recent stay at Hotel Ochsenwirt, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the fantastic live Tyrolean band. Their lively music and spirited “Ein Prosit” toasts created an unforgettable atmosphere, making every evening a joyous celebration. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, with every corner of the property meticulously maintained. The staff’s dedication to hygiene was evident and greatly appreciated, especially in these times. Service at Hotel Ochsenwirt was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that all guests felt welcome and well-cared for. Their friendliness and efficiency truly enhanced the stay, making it feel like a home away from home. The room we stayed in (nr. 11) was spacious and beautifully appointed. It provided all the comforts one could ask for, with tasteful decor and plenty of room to relax and unwind. The only downside to my experience was the absence of schnitzel on the menu. While the other dishes were delicious, it would have been perfect to enjoy a traditional schnitzel during my stay. Overall, Hotel Ochsenwirt offers an exceptional experience with its vibrant live music, impeccable cleanliness, excellent service, and comfortable accommodations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy the best of Tyrolean hospitality.

A lovely traditional hotel right next to the night ski slope which was a wonderful surprise. We have seen the slope many times driving past and never imagined we'd be sleeping right underneath it! A great overnight stop en route to our ski resort - Hinterglem Salbaach about 2 hours away. The family room was a good size though we were rather confused and amused to see the mirror on the ceiling of the four poster bed! The breakfast was really good - plenty of choice and really filling. Would definitely stay here again.

Not much to dislike. Parking was a slight issue - maybe more advance notice of where we can park. Limited dinner choices for vegetarians.

Staff could be more informative, didn't tell us about the free water when checking in. And they forgot to mention that reservation is necessary for dining at the hotel restaurant Payment in bar/restaurant won't accept credit card payment below 10 EUROs WTF? How hard can it be to give change back in euros? All information is in german (room and booklets), no other language, which is a bit odd considering all the foreign tourist at the place. But all in all we had a wonderful stay.

I found the family room fantastic - comfortable and spacious with beautiful decoration and state-of-the-art facilities. Room was very clean and toiletries were excellent quality. Every detail was taken care of. It certainly exceeded our expectations. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious.

Typical nice wooden style with modern features. Nice view from the hotel, good restaurant, outside beer terace, rich breakfast. The staff kind, but little big overloaded.

The hotel´s capacity and number of the guests facing the limits of the service capacity (waiting time in the restaurant, free table at the breakfast).

The accommodation was quite good.

The staff was not very pleasant and helpful. If you arrive after 2 p.m., you have no chance of getting anything to eat until 7 p.m., neither in the Ochsenwirt nor anywhere in the vicinity. I don't recommend going there without proper supplies, which is not so possible on a motorcycle...

Second time I've stayed at this hotel for a sleepover on my way to Austria. It is located very good near the highway and has enough parking spaces. The restaurant inside the Gasthof is excellent. Room was specious and fitted with everything needed for a sleepover.

Third bed (sleeping couch) can be a bit longer. It is not a full size bed in length

Nice Gasthaus on the border between Germany and Austria close to the Bavarian alps. Typical Bavarian room, with wooden furniture. The breakfast was good. The Gasthaus's own restaurant served typical local food.

There is no aircondition in the room, and with evening sunshine the room was a little bit too hot at bedtime. Also, we could hear everyting in the hallway very good. But no big deal really, the hotel was quiet all night.
