We have stayed at IHG Hotels many times, particularly Holiday Inn Express Hotels, in many European countries. We have enjoyed this hotel as much as all other IHG Hotels. I must mention particularly about Receptionist, Cosima, who went an extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. When we checked in I did not mention I am an IHG member, since I did the booking via booking.com. However, after checking and after having dinner we came to the hotel bar for drinks. Just before we ordered drinks Cosima came to us and said "I found out that you are an IHG member, and therefore, as a thank we would like to offer 2 complimentary drinks". I was very surprised not just getting 2 complimentary drinks, but she went beyond her job and searched our names, so she found out I am an IHG member. We were so touched by her service-minded attitude. Cosima was the once who checked us in, that too very quick & professional. Everything in the room was clean and organized. We will definitely stay once again at IHG hotels.

Breakfast - we are aware almost all IHG hotels provide breakfast incl. in the rooms which is a huge a service to the guests. However, if the hotel can provide bit more hot items that would be perfect.

This hotel is located in a recently developed area close to Offenburg station. Access is level if you’re trundling a suitcase and it’s on a fairly quiet road. There is a car park and we saw arriving cyclists taking tour bikes through to safe storage. The building is light and airy, well maintained. Reception was always fully staffed as we came and went. Our room had a good shower, ample storage and enough space for an armchair and a writing desk. Breakfast was of a decent standard; a full range of cereals, fruit& yoghurt plus cold cuts and some cooked food. Service at breakfast was efficient and empty platters were refilled promptly. The central area of Offenburg is a 10-15 minute walk away and offers a good range of dining opportunities. We felt that we had good value for money here.

The availability of olive oil to dress the salad vegetables at breakfast would be a bonus!

Very nice "queen size" rooms with nice facilities like a kettle for warming water. Rooms very clean and comfy. Location is a little off and there are tracks right outside the windows so no sleeping with open windows. That is however not a problem as the sound isolation is superb and aircondition works flawlessly. Staff very nice and breakfast from 6 am. has ok selection and offers a grab and go bag if you are in a hurry. Check in from 15:00 to midnight which serves well if you are traveling late. Nice bar area in the reception. Most definetly á recommendation.

This hotel is certainly one of the best hotels that we have stayed overnight over our 28 years of riding our bicycles all over Europe . The room was spacious , bathroom was very clean and had excellent shower. A/C worked very well . Very close to train station but very quiet . Excellent indoor secure bike storage . Elevator to the upper rooms . Very good breakfast was included at a very reasonable price point . Staff was very friendly, helpful and very courteous upon checkin and checkout. A great place to stay when in Offenburg .

Restaurants a tad far to walk to after a long day of bike riding but there were some dinner food choices at the hotel .

New modern hotel with attentive desk staff and wonderful breakfast, in line with what to expect from a Holiday Inn. Rooms are well equipped and bright and spacious. I booked last minute and rate was low (€100) and included breakfast for two. They have a couple carts to take your luggage to your room and back to your car. Good starting point for a trip into the Black Forest (Schwarzwald). Great value for the money! Did I mention the breakfast...? :)

A bit off-city center, without a restaurant in the hotel (they cater business meetings and breakfast). The Turkish pizza place next door was open during construction and the workers there were the nicest people ever.

The hotel was affordable, clean and convenient. I liked the breakfast and the staff. We chose this hotel to see the cities of Germany and France. It was easy for us to visit some nearby cities.

It was in the silent part of the city for a person who visits for the 1st time it was a bit strange to walk to the hotel late evening. Also, the glasses of the 1st floor where the restaurant located wasn't frosted so people could see us. Once a man stared us and we felt uncomfortable.

Reasonable price point and close to bike trail and Bahnhof . Excellent inside bicycle storage . Very friendly and helpful staff . Room very clean and bright . Lift to upper floors . Close to several restaurants for dinner . Very good breakfast but be sure to check the times that they are very busy .

Really hard to think of a negative

The hotel is well located on road to Italy. Interior is modern and of good quality. Large shower, good bed in a smaller room with nicely coloured interior/furniture. Breakfast, included in rate, was good, fresh and well varied. It‘s next to station and tracks but the occasional noise did not bother us. We‘ll stay over again in future!

This is a very well run hotel with excellent staff. It's clean, comfortable and very good value for money. English speaking staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended if visiting the Black Forest as its outside of the really touristy area and therefore better value for money

you have to ask if you want your room cleaning everyday. Having said that the domestic staff were very good at changing towels etc if you wanted a more simple service.

The hotel was well-maintained, with the amenities you would normally expect. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast included a wide variety of dishes to choose from, both hot and cold, as well as fruits, juices, and pastries. The quality and taste of the food were great.

The only downside of our stay was the issue with the guarantee money on our credit card. The hotel froze a certain amount of money as a security deposit when we checked in, which is understandable. However, even after we checked out and paid the full price again, the money was still frozen on our card. We contacted the hotel several times, but they kept telling us that it was a problem with our bank and not with them. It has been a month since our stay, and we still haven't received our money back. This is very frustrating and unacceptable.
