The hotel is old and a bit worn, but everything worked perfectly and was clean. The staff was very nice, they had our room ready for us beforehand, so we could get the most out of our stay :). The room was big, air conditioning worked well and was quiet, bed was good. The location was excellent, we were surprised how much there was life just around the corner, great restaurants, bars etc. and the main streets of the centre are just a couple blocks away! The breakfast was great, even for us vegans. And thanks for the gummy bears :D

This hotel was a perfect choice for my business trip to Stuttgart. It has a great location, right in the city center, close to the main train station, just next to the main pedestrian zone with all the shops and restaurants. If you are arriving with a car, hotel has its own garage, which is super convenient. I was staying at the hotel for 10 nights and important thing for me was to have good breakfast and in my opinion the breakfast variety and quality was better than in some more exclusive hotels. And the best thing about the Unger hotel is the hotel staff…reception, housekeeping,…They are all very friendly and helpful. Special thanks goes to the breakfast restaurant team; Darinka, Abel and Maryam…all of them very professional, polite, kind and always at your service.

Very nice hotel, close to the train station. Staff was very good and friendly. The breakfast was nice with some hot dishes, pastries, meats and cheeses and plenty of fresh fruit. Friendly staff brought coffee in a personal pitcher, to nicely set tables with cloth napkins. All a cut above. Front desk allowed luggage storage after checkout. Room was quiet in the back, large shower and cleaned daily with towels refreshed. Recommended

Breakfast - there was a very good selection and choice of meats, fruit, breads, cereals and cheeses: as well as good choice for drinks. Service was good and staff friendly and attentive Location - was brilliant for us in the city centre very close to transportation hub - for S-Bahn for example which we used for travel outside city centre as well as use from and back to the airport. Room - the rooms we had were comfortable, clean and a very good size. Although one rooms was little too warm at times. Prior to our stay we asked the hotel to provide our two rooms to close together for our family and they did this. They also provided a twin room for one of the rooms (also asked for prior to stay) Staff - were very welcoming, helpful and could help in English where our German struggled. They were attentive when needed and helpful with any directions. Check in and departure - we were able to check in to our room earlier than usual time, which was very useful as we arrived in the morning. Check out was easy, and were able to leave our luggage securely for a few hours prior to our departure to the airport.

One room was a little too warm. Would have welcomed tea/ coffee in the room, not just a mini bar. These are minor things in terms of our overall stay which we enjoyed very much.

The hotel is very close to all public transport and the city centre. The room was clean. The staff was friendly, especially a man with glasses. Great breakfasts.

At 4* hotel, I would wait a coffee machine in the room (some of us preferuji privacy instead of hotel bar). And some extra small pillow would be also good. Finally, the hotel should make more for sustainability - prefer eco-friendly toiletries or locally sourced food and beverages (e.g. salmon or bananas are not local).

I had emailed ahead of time a requested an early check in due to my int’l flight. I got the formulaic reply that it might not be possible as the rooms needed to be cleaned. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an early check in upon arrival. Room was very spacious and balcony small but lovely to have doors open. Would have appreciated a chair on the balcony. View was top of roofs, but no street noise. Breakfast dry well-appointed. Would stay there again I as super close to the train station and King street,the shopping and eating district.

Greeted with a smile on arrival. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Single room basic but clean. Had minibar which was reasonably priced. Bathroom clean and adequate. Nice breakfast- fresh rolls, nice hams, cheeses and smoked salmon. Stollen was a nice touch. Central location- close to Hauptbahnhof and Sbahn stop less than 300m away. Walking distance to Koenig Strasse and Schlossplatz.

For a hotel in middle of big city I would have expected to have a working safe. The ones in room 118 and 117 did not work. Whilst this was reported, was told by receptionist that was a major undertaking to repair but could leave valuables at reception. Not ideal. Not great views from rooms although may have been due to asking for quiet rooms. Did not find bar area in evening inviting. Disappointing that did not serve Stuttgart beers.

The hotel is conveniently located and it's easy to walk to the main attractions and train station. In the area there are nice cafes and restaurant. I liked the opportunity to park directly at the hotel premises and that dogs were accepted at a reasonable price (6 eur per dog per day), while other hotels in the area charged more than double. Nice breakfast with vegan options (oatmilk cappuccino) The room was spacious and clean

Rooms were clean and well appointed. All staff was friendly and cooperative. Breakfast buffet was delicious. My American family and my German family were treated very well. Lobby and lounge were beautifully decorated for the holiday. Location was perfect for Christmas markets, restaurants, and trains.

hotel's location is good. reception - friendly, courteous and helpful. there is a pub opposite the hotel run by owner Sally. Service is top-notch. smoking is permitted in the pub so if you are not a smoker, it is not recommended inside but there are tables and seats outside the pub.

the wood frame containing the mattress is uncomfortable. maybe we should have requested for a higher mattress and the 2 single beds were put together instead of a space in between the beds.
