My stay at APA Hotel & Resort Tokyo Bay Makuhari was defined by several positive aspects. The convenient location near the train station and the beach was a major plus, making traveling and exploration easy. The rooms were elegantly designed, spacious, well-equipped, and offered delightful views. The availability of different dining options, including a Dim-Sum buffet, pizza café, and Teppanyaki dishes, was impressive and catered to diverse culinary preferences. The services offered by the hotel were another high point of my stay. From the excellent housekeeping service to the 24-hour front desk and the availability of two Lawsons convenience stores within the hotel premises, the guest experience was prioritized at all times. The spa facilities, which included a public bath and a variety of body treatments, added an extra layer of relaxation and indulgence to my stay. Finally, the vast selection for breakfast and the quality of food was highly commendable. I also enjoyed the presence of good shops and restaurants nearby, providing an array of options for leisure and dining. Overall, I was thrilled with the quality of service and facilities at the hotel.

While my stay at APA Hotel & Resort Tokyo Bay Makuhari was mostly positive, there were a few aspects that could be improved. A significant disappointment was the closure of the swimming pool during my stay, despite it being a major factor in choosing this hotel. It was frustrating to see the pool in operation while having breakfast, yet not have access to it. Limiting its opening only to July and August seems restrictive and doesn't cater to the guests who may prefer to swim outside of these months.

I liked how hospitable the staff at the information counter were. Guests can't check in till 3pm so that's a bit of a wait but there are things to do around the area so it was ok. It's just 10 minute walk to/from the Kaihimmakuhari station and restaurants which is convenient to get around. It's a short bus ride to AEON Mall and 10-minute walk to the Makuhari Messe exhibition hall. The room is very comfortable and clean. I had a flask to boil water to make tea/coffee and a fridge to keep food in. The bathroom was clean, hot water worked well, water pressure was good, towel was clean and soft. The bed was really comfortable and the airconditioning worked well. I had a nice view of the ocean.

The only thing that can be improved is to add TV channels with English. All channels are in Japanese and even the English news is dubbed to Japanese

The numerous restaurants available on site--after a long day it was nice to not have to worry about finding someplace for dinner. The teppanyaki and the sushi restaurants were SUPURB. The women's only onsen was also very nice.

Not being able to control the temperature in my hotel room--I take medications that cause hot flashes and sweating, and am used to sleeping in a cooler room. Several times, I had to open the window to get some cooler air in the room. Also, the beds were much firmer after than I anticipated. I did not sleep well as a result. Signage in the lobby could have been better--took me a few minutes to find the restrooms. And I never did find an ice machine.

We were in Chiba for a convention and what we liked was that it was close to the convention, the stadium (we watched a baseball game), and the train station/ mall which had a lot of options for food. It was a great stay. I would stay here again for a convention. It also had two Lawson’s or conviene stores in the hotel, which sold hot and cold food, snacks, and alcohol. I would recommend it.

It would have been nice to be able to add breakfast to the reservation. It was a bummer that as someone who has a tattoo, I couldn’t use the public baths. If you want to be close to Tokyo, it may not be the most convenient place. Ensure that you don’t get a smoking room as our room has a strong odour and we realized it’s cuz we were in the smoking side of the building.

The staff at check-in were great! There were tons of people checking in all at once for Star Wars Celebration, but they handled it very well, even though some guests were not as polite as they could have been. We got to check in very quickly and made our way to our room after a long taxi ride from our previous hotel. We also appreciated being able to stay in a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor.

The bidet in our room's bathroom did not work. I believe it needed to be charged and when the room was cleaned, it was still not working at all. There were also light stains on the walls and some debris on the carpet upon arrival.

This was my second time so I kind of knew how my stay is going to be like. I reserved the double room so the size of the bed was not an issue; however, any room even 2-twin rooms will be too small to accommodate more than 1 person. Having the 24-7 convenience stores that offer good food and drinks (including alcohols) at the premises, as well as the restaurants open until midnight were very convenient coming back after the Music festival I attended. The proximately to the event venue was just a short walk, and they have a free shuttle bus to the main station in the morning. You can also take the shuttle bus from Haneda Airport to the hotel, and it comes in very handy.

I stayed for 2 nights with the breakfast option, but the buffet was exact the same except for a few items. Breakfast ending at 10:00 a.m. is a bit too early too. The shuttle service does not have the luggage storage, so if you have huge suitcases, better to get the cab to the station.

Location. This hotel is very convenient for working around Makuhari, with a nice walkway access from Makuhari Messe train station, even with luggage on hand, OR by using airport shuttle bus from Haneda airport. There are many shops and eating places within 10-to 15-minute walk to the station, in addition to many restaurants and two convenience stores on site. There is also a shuttle van to and from Makuhari Messe station, which is a plus! Most single rooms are small and compact, with comfortable beds and two types of pillows to choose from, but it means that the bathroom is quite cramped and probably not convenient for bigger built guests, and no closet for hanging many clothes. Checking-in procedure is by yourself and may be problematic for non-Japanese speakers but there are always nice staff around to assist. I like it that the room, especially the bath and toilet, are always clean every time I stayed there. Most of all, I'm grateful that my wish to stay in a higher floor was granted and I was assigned a room in the top floor in the East Wing!

Not much but this time I stayed there, no supply of amenities was provided for the second day, which was unusual. The video screen did not work properly (blacked out many times) in the room where I stayed.

The view was breathtaking. On a clear day you can even see the Tokyo Skytree. The tub was big, the beds were comfortable, the staff was great. Some APA hotels have pretty rude staff, so having a nice staff was surprising and we were really grateful. It's close to the Kaihimmakuhari JR Station, and the area of Makuhari is really nice. Last but not least, the value for money was absolutely amazing. While the hotel is very far from Tokyo, it's still a great value

It could've been a bit cleaner. Behind the door was a collection of dust and dust bunnies. A quick vacuuming would've resolved it, so it's a shame it wasn't thoroughly cleaned.

The location, as always! It is very convenient to get there, especially when you use the shuttle bus to and from Haneda airport. There are many on-site restaurants to choose from, as well as two convenient stores. Public baths are available for females only on the first floor of the East Wing. I like the arrangement of the room this time because the spaces are maximized, unlike the other rooms I was assigned before, although both are in the East Wing. The bed is comfortable and there are two kinds of pillows to choose from for your preference. I'm so glad that I paid much less for the room this time, possibly because of the timing. There are free movies to watch and English news (BBC) on TV. The shower pressure was satisfying and check out was a breeze, as always.

Because the room is in the lower floors, there is no sea view... I find the shower area a bit cramped, especially for bigger built users.

The hotel is well located close to restaurants and a 10-minute walk to the Kaihin Makuhari station. There are two convenient stores, on the first and second floors, and several on-site restaurants to choose from. You can order food to be delivered to your hotel room. This time I had a nice twin room for the price of one single room in the west wing. The view is much nicer on the East Wing, but I was very glad that the staff granted my request to have a non-smoking room, which is more important to me. The room was clean and tidy, with comfortable beds. Overall, the experience was satisfactory. I will stay here again next time.

None really, but I always had difficulty and took time checking in electronically because I had to enter (and find) the address in Japanese, but checking out was a breeze!
