Checked in for a two night stay. A very imposing building. Valet parking was available and all the valet team provided great service. Our room was clean and well presented. Excellent towels. The leisure club in the basement had a very nice swimming pool and jacuzzi.

Better signage is required to navigate the one way entrance. The duvet cover on the bed was actually two sheets. I find this method unacceptable as when the sheets roll back you are touching the bare duvet. Just like hundreds of people before you.! The food and beverage at the hotel needs to be improved. The buffet breakfast is adequate at best. The bar food is awful. The oysters are poor. Getting served in the bar is difficult with team members chatting away and not focusing on the waiting customers. The hotel is branded as Fairmont but lacks the necessary standards.

We liked the hotel. It is beautiful. Everything was excellent.

It was a bit overpriced. Also, my prime rib meal at the Harvest Room was not the best. My wife had a steak a mashed potatoes. Her steak was excellent but her mashed potatoes were way too salty, and she likes salt. Although our wine was very good, $90 for a bottle of wine (which was the cheapest) is expensive. It was our anniversary (We got married at the hotel and come back most years for our anniversary) and they really did not do anything special for us, like an upgrade.

Beautiful, historical building with lovely grounds and great views of the city and the River.

Communicating with room service was impossible. Even after being forwarded by the front desk and dialing directly I kept getting a voice mailbox, dropped call or busy signal. Also, the lounge food service was a little slow. Evidently the kitchen was short staffed the evening we ate in the confederation Lounge.

Afternoon tea was excellent. The spa and pool area are fantastic lots of amenities. The history of the hotel on pictures on the walls is a nice touch.

The air conditioning isn’t good, our room was hot and this was October! Heater in the bathroom on constantly had to open the window. Street outside is noisy.

This room renovations are nice. My room was very spacious and comfortable. The pool and exercise area was well equipped and comfortable. It was nice that your senior bellmen still remembered me from when I was a regular almost 15 years ago

There was nothing that I disliked about the account.modation. I have stayed here many times throughout the years

Everything was great, except for parking

Pay extra for parking The beds were not that comfortable. We both woke up with sore backs The bathroom door stuck, so it felt like you were stuck in there as you had to really pull on the door to get it open.

- The heritage building is beautifully preserved, in keeping with its original charm whilst not looking outdated. - The in room dining food could be made with more care BUT the lady who served it named Christina is PHENOMENAL and was quick to make right any issues I had. Having Christina come fo the door brought such a smile to my face and to my daughter, to whom she brought some delicious chocolate covered strawberries. Please recognize Christina for her kindness and gentle spirit. She is a GEM and you’re very fortunate to have her on your team. - The pool is AMAZING with its ambient music, colour changing lights and WARM, clean water. This hotel pool far exceeds any I’ve been to. I want to give a very special thank you to the pool attendant whose name escapes me, but she is a very lovely young lady who gifted my daughter something very special, which is deeply appreciated. - The location is perfect for strolling the river side or downtown, with everything you need within walking distance - The communication throughout our stay was exceptional, with the option to make requests via text message.

The television remote in room 500 was slow and glitchy but that’s our only real complaint and it’s minor. I’m sure a change of batteries would have done the trick :)

Staff . The brunch was very good and the attention we had from the chef in regard to allergies was very much appreciated. The longe was vey accommodating in allowing our family to be together at numerous times throughout the whole weekend. The whole staff from dining room to lounge and valets were exceptional. Thanks to all of them. It allowed our family from Chicago, Victoria and Alberta to celebrate Easter together.

Room need ed a little car . Bathroom paint trim and fix wall paper under the sink. Clean under TV, bar , clothes storage cabinet.

The service personable, professional and efficient.. The , decor of the newly renovated lounge is great! Freshened up with still maintaining its charm. . Our meals delicious. The smoke charcuterie board amazing . The experience of the Hotel Mac is and always lovely. I will continue to dine, lunch and occasionally stay in years to come.

Our room was showing slight wear and tear, but hardly mentionable, ie; one nightstand table top finish is worn off and glass missing. I can't wait to be in one of the renovated rooms next time. I had trouble with the pillows being uncomfortable however, I had absolutely no trouble with a previous stay. So it could just be me.

Everything was excellent. The view from the patio is incredible. Rooms are spacious and impeccably clean.

Our only option for parking was the valet. A bit pricey but thankfully only one night.
