We stayed at this hotel in 2018 and slept in the first building. Due to the great experience, we stayed again this year for 14 days. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The pictures and information about the hotel and the rooms are true. The rooms are large, cleaned daily. They have a small fridge, free water every day, and a kettle with free coffee and tea. The rooms have umbrellas, sunbeds and beach shoes. The Wi-Fi is good and the connection doesn't drop. Breakfast changes daily, always with 5 hot dishes, both local and international. In the morning, you can find Asian food, bolognese, macaroni and cheese or fried wings. Although it doesn't look like much, we were satisfied with the food, fruits, and vegetables. The hotel is surrounded by smaller local restaurants as well as well-known food chains. There is also a shop nearby, so you can buy a lot of necessary things there. The water in the pool is pleasant, so we swam and enjoyed it even when it was raining We had a lovely holiday in a lovely and friendly hotel, thank you for that!

There are no tiles around the pool in the new building but I think they will be done soon. There are buildings being built next to the hotel so it is very noisy but that is not the hotel's fault.

Has an outdoor balcony with a splendid view (if you book cliff view) Hotel has two buildings, each with its own pool and you can use both. Ours is the main building. Pool is long, clean and relaxing. The hotel ambience suits the theme, cliffhanger. The surrounding is filled with Halal delicious eateries. About 3 mins walk away from mosque. About 10 min walk to beach or you can tuk-tuk there with about 100 bhatt to the further end of the beach. The walk from hotel to beach is a straight road with street shops.

The main building is located up a slope. Need to walk up to reach main lobby. No lift / escalators. Cars with low bumpers or front will not go up that slope to the main lobby but, its not a big issue but may be a hinderance to senior citizens or those with knee problems.

Loved this hotel! The bed and pillows were super comfy, the pool was amazing for swimming lengths and the whole property just felt very well taken care of. I asked for a mountain view room which looked out on to the street (which is very busy) so I would maybe ask for a pool view room next time but I was happy to be placed in the front building and not the back one as you have to walk up the hill a bit more to get there. This place was just what I needed to settle in to Thailand and recover from my journey in real comfort.

Can't really fault this hotel but Ao Nang itself if just really busy and had a bit of a tacky vibe, not what I was expecting. A good base for boat trips to other areas though like Railay and island tours but I would probably stay in Railay if I was to go again. The surrounding areas are stunning.

The property is great value for money. It's not right on the beach if that's what you're looking for, but it's a pleasant 10 min walk to the Ao Nang beach. The room is well equipped with mats, Flip Flops and umbrellas for you to take to the beach. Three pill and gym are convenient. There is a massive set of food options surrounding the hotel, local Thai food, Indian food, hipster stuff like brunch places and cafes etc. ( And great vegan / vegetarian options ) There's also a bunch of "coffee" shops and bars in the area, as well as street markets. We didn't try the breakfast or in hotel dining.

There's s bit of a climb up to the reception and often no one to help you with the bags.

This was my third time staying here. Whenever I visit Krabi, I always book this hotel and will continue to do so. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. This time I stayed in a Deluxe room. I’ve also tried the Superior before, but I’d recommend the Deluxe instead. They even gave me a free upgrade to a Deluxe with cliff view, which was a really nice surprise. The staff are super friendly and if you stay here, make sure to ask for Hunna, she will take great care of you. I can only recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at the Sugar Marina Cliff Hotel in Krabi, and I had a wonderful experience. The staff’s hospitality was exceptional; they were always friendly and eager to assist with any request. The hotel’s location was perfect for those seeking a more peaceful and less crowded atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the breathtaking view of the caves from my room. While the breakfast was only average, it was still satisfying, and there were plenty of other dining options nearby. The swimming pool was a highlight of my stay, offering a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Perhaps it was the off-season, but the hotel was refreshingly less crowded, making it an ideal destination for a tranquil getaway. I highly recommend the Sugar Marina Cliff Hotel for a memorable and peaceful stay in Krabi.

On the morning of my second day, I headed down to the breakfast area and was perplexed to find a sign indicating that it was closed. It was only 8 a.m., and this left me somewhat puzzled. However, upon opening the door, I discovered that breakfast was indeed being served. I couldn’t help but wonder if this discrepancy was intentional, possibly to limit the number of guests in the dining area. This situation left me feeling somewhat uneasy, as it seemed like a potentially misleading practice. I would appreciate it if the hotel could investigate and rectify this issue, as it’s essential to maintain transparency and integrity in their service.

We loved the room with direct access to the pool. We were in the main building above reception level, that pool has plenty of sun. (The other building's pool access rooms have very little sunlight.) Quiet and simple room with all essentials, comfortable bed, great shower. The gym had enough equipment for simple vacation workouts. Two treadmills, a cross-trainer, a bike and a small series of dumbbells. But no gym towels, cleaning spray & tissues and no water fountain. The location is central, but still not disturbed by traffic or nightclub noise. Easy walk down to the beach where you can take the longtail boats. The breakfast was ok, enough choice for us (We're used to Italian breakfasts, i.e. sweet and simple, cannot comment on the warm options.) Overall, an excellent choice and good value for Ao Nang Beach.

The two things we did not like: - Housekeeping was patchy ar best. Upon arrival, a previous guest's half-full Coke bottle was in the fridge. Every day, something was missing, typically water bottles and towels. Small handtowels appeared only on our last (fifth) night. Surfaces and floors did not seem to be cleaned properly. Especially the windows and glass doors were dirty everywhere at the hotel, never saw anyone cleaning them. - The "design" of the hotel is strange. Grey concrete walls and ceilings, looking like the building was in fact not finished.

Lovely modern clean hotel. Cleaning staff were extremely friendly. Each day when we left the do not disturb sign on they would leave us bottled water hung up on the door. Good location near restaurants, bars, stores and chemist. 40 mins walk to AoNang main beach and night market. Can use grab or a tuktuk to reach this area for 100bht.

Was quite noisey with traffic if you stay in the building nearest the road. If you stay in the other building there is a bit of a hill to get up to the accomodation. Checking in and check out was a bit labourious trying to drag suitcases up the hill. The toilets at the pool area could do with some tlc. They were filthy, no light and no toilet paper.

- The paintwork in the hotel feels unfinished. I don’t know if they were going for that look, but inside our building everything looked like walls before being painted - Wi-Fi didn’t work most of the time. We flagged this to the hotel staff, and they promptly tried to fix the issue, but it wasn’t fixed before we left - The lobby is behind the hotel above a steep ramp. The hotel does provide a motorized vehicle to help with luggage, which is great, but it’s still an inconvenience - Taxidermy mounts used as decoration might not be everyone’s cup of tea (didn’t bother us)

Great value for money! The facility is new, and our family room was spacious, comfortable, and featured a balcony with an amazing jungle view. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of options. The location is perfect, just off the main road with plenty of restaurants, a 7/11, and massage shops nearby. Our room faced the back, so it was quiet and peaceful.

The rooms are cleaned relatively late. One day, we returned at 4:30 PM and the room hadn't been cleaned yet. The cleaning staff arrived about 20 minutes later while we were resting, which wasn’t very convenient.
