The hostel is amazingly situated next to the river with great views from the terrace and in a quiet area. The decor is very beautiful and artistic with many murals and I loved the design of the hotel was very easy to navigate as well as fun to access from many points. It is well equipped with a library, pool table, cinema, co-working space, kitchen, restaurant, many hang out areas with sofas, yoga/dance space and many toilets. The staff is very approachable and nice, and having arrived very early in the morning and left very late in the night, they were helpful and let me store my big backpack behind their desk and I had full use of the space, facilities and WiFi, as well as calling me a taxi. The dorm was very spacious and quiet, with a lamp, plug socket and curtains in each bed, as well as lockers. The shared bathroom was clean and always had toiletries and toilet paper. It was by far the best hostel I stayed in and at such a bargain price, with breakfast included whith lots of choices! I definitely want to return and would recommend!

The hostal itself is gorgeous. Enourmous building with endless stairs and hallways. Our room was super big with very comfy bed, pillows and bathroom. Location is right at the busy street with all the clubs and restaurants which is nice if you're looking for that.

Our second night, there was A LOT of noise (music). It was like the party was inside our room instead of in some club in the street. The breakfast was a little improvised because of renovations. I guess this is temporary so will probably be better soon.

I had a really good experience staying at Selina Cuenca. My flight was very delayed so my arrival was much later than planned and the staff were very helpful in allowing me to organise a late check out. After such a long time spent travelling I was so grateful for their helpfulness. The accommodation is beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. The breakfast was great and I loved the terrace. Thank you for a great stay!

We did not participate in the breakfast. We loved having community spaces for stretching/yoga and hanging out, since the 3 bed room was a little crowded by the family.

We would have liked to use the refrigerator, but didn't ask. We assumed it was not available because the door was locked.

half of the staff does their job while the other is just passing time? i asked the same girl at reception for help twice, one was very urgent (my friend needed to see a doctor). she didn’t care at all, said she would help and didn’t do anything. second time we needed help with a problem in our room. we asked her about 3-4 times. she smiled, didn’t do anything. incompetent

Outstanding hostel Firstly, it's located exactly where you want to be in Cuenca, outside many eateries, a step away from the historic square and surrounded by Cuenca's organic beautiful such as a the river out the front. The hostel staff are second to none, I became severely ill on my last day and they cared for me until I could travel again. I can't think them enough.

It could get a tad loud at night.

Amazing place , great location and not loud although around many bars and restaurants. Helpful staff, cool vibe and beautiful terrace where you have breakfast (which is also yummy and you can pick from different choices ) and drinks in the evening . Also , hot shower ! Which is not an easy find in Cuenca !

Surprisingly well-priced for a Selina. The room and bed were very comfy, the design everywhere is beautiful and I loved the yoga deck

We were next to the road so it was a bit noisy at night - not too crazy though. If you are hoping for a long-term stay where you cook, forget it; the kitchen is not equipped at all and is very forgotten in the building

The room was cozy and clean, the property was well-maintained and located, and the staff was super helpful (including the folks at the in-house travel agency).

The room to our door was finicky and was difficult to shut properly which wasn't a huge deal but was inconvenient.

Selina has an amazing location that is close to everything. I really like the bedrooms and the activities that were held in the facilities.

Since it's at the center of the city at night it was pretty loud given that there are a lot of clubs around. Maybe thicker windows might help.
